It looks nice but I think the Depth of Field effect is overdone. It's like looking at 1:18 scale F1 cars shot with a normal camera.. Make it more subtile and it'll look a whole lot better.. This could be very nice if you would decrease the Field of View like when camera's are zoomed in.. Only then you would get a very noticable Depth perceptionby Floris_Koop_GP4Freak - Grand Prix 4
What will you say when I tell you that's a self-illuminating material with an added glare shader for the camera, for Mental ray ?? No photoshop there mate, only for the "850" bit on the top left BTW, realised that indeed, the glare doesn't work in reflections.. Just after I posted it thoughby Floris_Koop_GP4Freak - Grand Prix 4

Back to rendering for some change Shame I couldn't get some proper f1 tires and rims working, so with the help of excisting rims I made some wheels myself, temporarily though. For the rest I'm pretty satisfied! Both rendered at 1600x1200by Floris_Koop_GP4Freak - Grand Prix 4
Julio, that's what I meant like 10 pages ago. To transform the atmosphere without using reallife assets to make it look real, like that, is something I admire. Really coolby Floris_Koop_GP4Freak - Grand Prix 4

Yea, to do it the other way 'round like taking elements of a game into reallife stills, takes more skills to do. But then again, when doing that I think you're not posting screenshots but artworks that are related to GP4. Not that I don't like it, but I find it not being relevant to this thread. IMHOby Floris_Koop_GP4Freak - Grand Prix 4
Not really happy with the overall result, but then again, this is very hard to do in this angle. As I'm waiting for trymedia to give my license renewals again I have to use other peoples shots. This comes from the rFactor screens thread in the Other Games Forum. It's from: iaquinta. I hope you don't mind! Dry Rainby Floris_Koop_GP4Freak - Grand Prix 4

Don't understand me wrong. I've tried it myself too. The only thing I think is, in this thread the amount of 'real' in the shots has slowly increased to the point where I say the shots have lost the GP4 element where we are all impressed with. It's not that I don't like the shots, but I'm watching this forum to see GP4 and everything around it, and I think Iby Floris_Koop_GP4Freak - Grand Prix 4
That indeed is a really nice shot/pic, but I have to say that I personally find it too much, to take 50% of a real photo and merge it with a screenshot. It's nice as artwork on its own, but I find it too much for this thread. Or am I wrong?by Floris_Koop_GP4Freak - Grand Prix 4

Yea I tried the realistic mod and together with the FFB mod from the same author who created the FFB plugin for rFactor, it's feeling much more realisticby Floris_Koop_GP4Freak - Grand Prix 4

I can't stand the thought of people still thinking renders are different for different games, after reading but not understanding the last posts.. so: Renders are made in an external piece of software to showcase 3d models and 2d textures. At this time the objects and textures aren't imported into any game yet. That's why renders are the same for GP4 and rF. Just hád to sby Floris_Koop_GP4Freak - Grand Prix 4
