Hello, I actually like the heat haze effect, but would like it to be way smaller. For example just a few meters over the ground but not up to the sky like it is now. Is there a known way to change it? In f1graphics.cfg we can change the resolution of the haze but as far as i undestand not the size. Does it have anything to do with these lines in gp4.exe? Any help is sincerly apprecby Carl_gpgames - Grand Prix 4
you must either run the game through gxpatch or set compatibility mode to win xp for gp4.exe. and don't install the game to C:\Program Files\..., just install it to C:\Infogrames\Grand Prix 4.by Carl_gpgames - Grand Prix 4
Thanks a lot! Is the Torque .cap maker also available? i was actually looking for this one. The link (ondrive) on the first post is down.by Carl_gpgames - Grand Prix 4
i'm looking for the tool itself, not for the cap files.by Carl_gpgames - Grand Prix 4
hello, does anybody still have the .cap maker and could post a new link? thanks a lotby Carl_gpgames - Grand Prix 4
looks great, thank you very much! 2000 is one of my favourite seasons.by Carl_gpgames - Grand Prix 4
As far as i unsterstand, it is not necessary to set these on 1 (if you run the mod with csm). It should work if you just edit the cptsteerpos.ini and nothing else. Have you tried this already? Edit: Yes, there are settings for each car (they have all the same cockpit but different steering wheels).by Carl_gpgames - Grand Prix 4
amazing, jorge! looking very much forward to it!by Carl_gpgames - Grand Prix 4
fixed a bug where the logo wouldn't show up correctly in GP2 and GP3 style update. same link, first post.by Carl_gpgames - Grand Prix 4

did you install gpxpatch 4.52 ? you must run the game through gpxpatch. about graphics; have a look at the gp4 faq (1st page in this forum) and also have a look at your f1graphics.cfg (you open it with editor). it takes a bit of time to conigure GP4 when you're new to it, but once you got it, you'll have a lot of joy. and i can assure you that it fully runs on win10 and modern spec pcby Carl_gpgames - Grand Prix 4
i've been playing it with both a logitech and a fanatec wheel. they've both been working properly. try out the combined axis option for the pedals (in your wheel's setting, not GP4. then play around a bit with the options in GP4 menu. within calibration menu, try no to spin your wheel more than 180° for each turn. this helped me as well.by Carl_gpgames - Grand Prix 4

New version on first post. Changed all files to 24'000 Hz. Tested it without hardware acceleration (clean version of GP4) and GPxPatch v. 4.52, worked without problems. Please tell me if there are still issues remaining.by Carl_gpgames - Grand Prix 4
@RHill and livejackass: Sovled the problem. There is obviously a resolution limitation in GP4 without using hardware acceleration. Downsampling the files to 16 Bit and 22'050 Hz helped. I will soon convert all the files and upload a new version. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.by Carl_gpgames - Grand Prix 4

No idea why it is as it is, but obviously this makes it worby Carl_gpgames - Grand Prix 4
i have never tried it myself but i thik it works without adding anything. as far as i understand, gpxpatch searches for the files in the folder where the ini-file is.by Carl_gpgames - Grand Prix 4
GPxPatch 4.52 You can also try to create a subfolder in the snd folder. did you select to correct ini-file in gpxpatch?by Carl_gpgames - Grand Prix 4
which version of gpxpatch du you have?i have tested it on the latest, for me they all work.by Carl_gpgames - Grand Prix 4
RHill schrieb: ------------------------------------------------------- > Sounds good. > Are these specific to 2019 or can they be used for > any year? The samples are from 2019 season but they can theoretically be used for any year. i just recommend to delete the intro and entercockpit.wav. the rest is unspecific.by Carl_gpgames - Grand Prix 4

f1graphics.cfg: enable 32 bit, set all texture options on high. make sure that f1graphics.cfg controls all settings.by Carl_gpgames - Grand Prix 4

you can also try to copy your lod 0 file 4 times and name it "...lod_0", "...lod_1", "...lod_2", "...lod_3", "...lod_4". But as i said, there is an option in csm as well.by Carl_gpgames - Grand Prix 4
did you check the lod settings in your mod already? try to set it on lod0 only.by Carl_gpgames - Grand Prix 4
is the 85 affecting the f1graphics.cfg settings? make sure that all texture options are on high and 32bit is enabled in f1graphics.cfg.by Carl_gpgames - Grand Prix 4
Update: I actually got it to work with a tweaked version of alchemy (tdm eax anycard), even with using my onboard soundchip only. The solution was not to create a subfolder for the alchemy-files in the gp4 directory (for whatever reason). You will also have to disable 3d engine sounds in gpxpatch, because now GP4 calculates the 3D-sounds itself: The only issue i have now is when dby Carl_gpgames - Grand Prix 4
