Hey guys, just wanted to share a few ideas about an adaptation of my fantasy F1 championship to a playable F1 Manager Game I was thinking of starting with some people. Let's see what you think. I'm trying to strike a balance between simplicity and complexity, to make it interesting, without requiring too much time and energy to participate and organize. EDIT: Currently discussing hby Calligaris - Grand Prix 4
I randomly generate the names, just fortuitous homonymy it seems ^^.by Calligaris - Grand Prix 4

For now I've just done it privately, I started doing this before signing up on this forum, all past results are recorded on my pc though. After this I promise I am going to be quiet for a little bit and stop spamming you all. In the meantime, here are some liveries (designed on the beautiful SMD models), I'm just done preparing the 5th season of my private fantasy F1 League, and here are the teams. Disclaimers (skip if you just want to see some pics): -I still haven't learned how to render (I'm learning thouby Calligaris - Grand Prix 4
Again, thanks a lot for the help guys. Dynamic env. was already off so it's time for some graphics tinkering (i'll try removing the sky dome as well). I'll post a bunch of liveries soon to keep harassing you people In the meantime *cue music from any movie's science montage* Let's tinkerby Calligaris - Grand Prix 4
Solved it in the end, I was basing my alphas on the original SMD one, apparently with user generated tracks, and the modded skies they use, it was way to light. Still have to find a balance, but the issue should be solved.by Calligaris - Grand Prix 4

Yes it is me fishing for livery design advices again, this time though I have a very precise problem. When i convert my TGA files into TEX files with Slimtex it looks like it ignores the alpha channel. Let me illustrate the problem with screenshots. As you can see I properly have an Alpha Channel on my livery. I convert my TGA with Slimtex. prefix: hi, macros: cars. Cars still loby Calligaris - Grand Prix 4
Hey Shep, when I asked about the places for me, Chris and Eric I didn't mean to complain, as I am a rookie I positively thought there was something I missed. Sorry if it seemed like nitpicking. What you guys do here is great, I know how much goes into this and I really appreciate it. If additions are needed to the skeleton crew running the ship I would be glad to help in any way once I aby Calligaris - Grand Prix 4
I finished 12th in free practice but I am marked 11th on the championship table, Eric was 10th but his result doesn't appear and Chris was 11th but is marked 10th on the table. Did Eric get some kind of penalty that promoted both of us ? Calligarisby Calligaris - Grand Prix 4
I'm working on the fifth season now and I'll post the liveries when I'm done. I've developed a rather complex system for my fantasy league with sponsor and engine contracts, end of year bonuses, team prestige, marketing and technical departments, pilot contracts and such. I'll share some details if someone is interested. If someone actually wants a mod like Brett suggesby Calligaris - Grand Prix 4
Wow good to know, thanks Turbo ! I'll check it out when i get my internet back. (Or use my university's wifi)by Calligaris - Grand Prix 4
Thanks a lot Kedy, that was exactly the kind of advice i was looking for. I started playing around with blender to see how it works. Still have to find my way around tyres, i got the wheel models from the wad, but they are really ugly. Yeah I clearly can't afford photoshop. See what i can do, otherwise i'll just do my best with gimp, see if I can find any equivalent to the tools yby Calligaris - Grand Prix 4
In the meantime i'll try to understand why the images don't show on the post XD Edit: solvedby Calligaris - Grand Prix 4
Hey guys, Calligaris here, rookie GPSL driver and thankful follower of these forums. As I previously stated in another thread asking for modding advice, I am very thankful for the work many of you put into creating modding tools, models and even full mods. Thanks to all of this content I was finally able to privately run my personal fantasy F1 championship now in its third season. Now gettby Calligaris - Grand Prix 4
12th is fine for now, as it is my rookie season i just want to consistently score points for the team. Sandro Calligarisby Calligaris - Grand Prix 4
2nd in Free Practice, incredible result for me, luck helped me as weather mixed things up. Still, very happy, i hope to get more great results in the future. That's a good chunk of points as well. Sandro Calligarisby Calligaris - Grand Prix 4
Hoped for more points after that 8th place, but still satisfied with my season so far.by Calligaris - Grand Prix 4
The cars seem to have great pace, 8th and 3rd is excellent in the testers session, and the drivers had a great comeback i think, encouraging signs for MAC Racing ! Sandro Calligarisby Calligaris - Grand Prix 4
Damn it was a fight to the last corner with Stuart for that final point scoring position, would have been great to start my career with a point. Still a nice race overall i think, brought the car home and felt competitive all the way through, couple of nice passes as well. Hope mr. Greenhalgh is alright after his quite massive crash in the early laps, we'll be all awaiting news from him.by Calligaris - Grand Prix 4
Well 15th isn't the worst start for my very first session, happy to see i was able to keep up with my more experienced boss. Let's hope for a bit of chaos tomorrow to make some ground. (By the way what's up with the sandshoe thing, hahaha)by Calligaris - Grand Prix 4
Thanks guys ! For both questions. I thought every texture went in the wad. I'll test aroud with the alpha channel with my next set of liveries. Sandroby Calligaris - Grand Prix 4
Yes that's what I do, convert them in PSD, replace the helmets in the cars.wad, and it works for all the helmets, except for cars 9, 10 and 21.by Calligaris - Grand Prix 4
Hi everybody, Firstly i'd like to thank the community here on these forums. I looked for years for a way to create my own private fantasy F1 series and all the content and tools you created helped me finally do it. I'm modding the fourth season now, and there are a couple of problems I am not sure how to fix. I tried testing a few tracks I downloaded here (and the realistic sky fby Calligaris - Grand Prix 4
Hey Guys, Very noobish question from a first-timer, how do I send my PSD files, I don't see any "attach file" option in the PM, and the good old "drag & drop" doesn't work. Thanks, Sandroby Calligaris - Grand Prix 4
I just can't say no to Racing Green, boss.by Calligaris - Grand Prix 4
I'm honored to drive for MAC Racing and will do all I can to get good results for the team.by Calligaris - Grand Prix 4
Hey everybody, nice to meet you. I'm Sandro Calligaris, I'm new around here and I'll be joining you in the GPSL soon. Looking forward to racing with (and against) you. See you out on track Sandro Calligarisby Calligaris - Grand Prix 4
