Fellow GP4 racers, Now after a longer pause with the game I'm rather familiar with some mods, the game mechanics and most of the HowTo's, but 2 things still intrigue me about the game: a) The Message "Cease this lap, cease this lap" from my Pitcrew Sometimes during the Friday/Saturday Training, I drive out and after only 1 lap my pitcrew give me this message to returnby XenonS - Grand Prix 4
Suich a behavior is ashame, please do the effort and contact eBay for this matter, they must have a policy to ban such people from their system. XenonSby XenonS - Grand Prix 4
How's that? In this case you must change it in-game and if it doesn't work delete the F1gstate.sav and try again. If this doesn't work you will have to manually change all performance files by replacing the driver with your name. Also, AFAIK, driving with your name has nothing to do with Hot Lap, you save these after a serie of laps. Good luck, XSby XenonS - Grand Prix 4
Hi Fábio, I don't play the 2016 mod, but in other mods that start with CSM, you have to go to "Other Stuff" > Create Profile. Then, chose the right number which will be the order of the pilots appearing in the List (Mod Configurables). In this list also chose the right pilot. Then in the mod selection of CSM you must right-click the mod and > Activate Profile. When you startby XenonS - Grand Prix 4
SPOKES, I urge you to run the game with only a minimum profile of your security suite (Avast), set it to only scan executable files (.exe, .com, .bat) and disable the Real-Time File Check during your game session (or similar program function where all your files are scanned real-time), GP4 requires a lot of CPU work, it won't run that much through your grafics card, if there is an anti-viruby XenonS - Grand Prix 4
Hi Atticus, thanks to elaborate on this, such a non-linear function explains it all, that's why I never got results from any settings that I have set. On the other side, I never believed these values were nonsense, they are there for a reason This is all very interesting, it means that the default value for AI GRIP (I generally see 64768) is actually almost the highest possible and shouldby XenonS - Grand Prix 4
Hi, I've been testing the edition of 2 magic data values these days, the AI GRIP which is said to increase Agressivness of AI cars by reducing the value, and AI ERRORS, which is usually from 40-96, higher values mean more errors from AI. I must say that I encounter no effects like described in the FAQ by TomMK who has published the descriptions of these values. What I found out instead isby XenonS - Grand Prix 4
Hi Rot Teufel, very nice from you to give a new Performance file, thank you Gee, I'm so happy to finally be able to drive on the Phoenix circuit, I think the hardest one from all, I remember the joy I had with the first serie, F1GP. The circuit here in the 1991 mod is very well done , the proof: I was NEVER able to finish a race on it XenonSby XenonS - Grand Prix 4
I found out that it has to do with the Launch Control (F9). If I switch it OFF at race start I can start normally...strange, it should be the opposite, but ok... XenonSby XenonS - Grand Prix 4
I can only raise my 2 thumbs for this excellent mod, the complete tracks, the cars, the sound, all wonderful However I have a problem related to the race start that I don't encounter in other mods. On the race start, if I set the 1st gear and give middle gas before the red light goes off (start signal), my RPM goes crazy up and down, same for the engine sound, I start very slowly and Iby XenonS - Grand Prix 4
There are some relevant posts about Damage Settings, also in the FAQs. My tests have resulted only in nonsense however and I'd like to see more clearly. There are 3 basic settings you can set to control the damage: GP4Tweaker > Damage Coefficient > makes all cars more or less resistant, but has NO impact on influencing retirement / non-retirement. A non-retirement means the carby XenonS - Grand Prix 4
I hope all this is helpful When you change Advanced grafics to manual, leave the Pitcrew to High (not Highest) otherwise they will get invisible at some point... XenonSby XenonS - Grand Prix 4
Hi, I'm asking this because the Build function in CSM Beta will not convert all folder structures correctly to launch a mod afterwards without making HUGE correction works, for example my cars folder gets converted in a structure where my cars get in the game, but not the cockpits, not the wheels, not..., not... etc. So is there any version with an improved build function? Here the solutions for the most common GP4 game and CSM problems: Problem: The game often crashes when playing, especially after changing Car Setup. Solution: On fast computers, the FPS setting in the Options should not be 60 FPS but 30 FPS. Delete your F1graphics.cfg file, run the game, accept grafic and sound calibration, set all Advanced grafics to max. except the Pitcrew: to High only,by XenonS - Grand Prix 4
gezere, I have changed to the 'Team-Specific' wheels and the meinu doesn't disturb anymore. But if you want to see what I mean, then switch to the Default Wheel and you notice immediately. In the 2005 the problem is more severe and disturbing in the T-Cam view (which I use to race with). Is it possible to move this menu up/down/left/right ? To fix this I could possibly lower my reby XenonS - Grand Prix 4
Security Suites usually have what is called a 'Real-time file protection' which means it runs whenever you open or use a file. If this file is modified the suite may think it is a malware, but anyway this scanning slows everything down and may interfer with your game. This is because games load a lot of textures, temporary files etc. and they are all scanned live if you don't insby XenonS - Grand Prix 4
Hi gezere, thanks to answer here, I appreciate. I will try to put here 2 shots, just before leaving pits and then on the track, you will see 2 lines of the menu not going away (in white on the wheel). In the 2005 mod the same, only that in Cam-view 2 letters of this menu (part of SELECT FUEL) the 'SE' is there as a ghost and moving together with the wheel on left part of the screen, a rby XenonS - Grand Prix 4
I hope I won't get blamed for necroposting here, but I think all mod-related things should be posted in the mod's section, at least I hope so...Sorry if this is handled differently. Ok, I run the mod 2006 + Update + trackpack and it runs very fine, except a little issue also found in the 2005 mod: When leaving the pits there is a white menu onscreen for Fuel, Leaving Pit etc. The proby XenonS - Grand Prix 4
The config.ini in the Data\Anims is the following, it has been built by CSM itself, not by me, after the Build command in the 'Other Stuff' section pointing to a separate install directory. ------------------------------------------------ Format = SkipBuild = PitCrew1 =Pitcrew\pitcrew_ferrari.tex PitCrew2 =Pitcrew\pitcrew_mclaren.tex PitCrew3 =Pitcrew\pitcrew_williamsby XenonS - Grand Prix 4
In the FAQ I have applied the 'Invisible Pitcrew' solution, it works, but: this is the default game pitcrew I think: still my anim.wad doesn't get patched. So the above questions still apply. Thanks to feedback! XenonSby XenonS - Grand Prix 4
Dear racers, my csm mod is running fine, but it's as the title says. In my Data\Anim folder all files are there plus 1 config.ini file. The files are the raw ones, not anim.wad but tex files in engineer and pitcrew folders. In my csm file the correct line is activated: Anim =Anim\Config.ini Did I forget to set something in the Settings folder and the ini files or else? Watchingby XenonS - Grand Prix 4
SOLVED !! I copied the wrong content... Also after copying the right one I must set Debug mode in GPxPatch, otherwise CSM will restore immediately without launching the game. Good to know... XenonSby XenonS - Grand Prix 4
Hi, I have built a CSM mod from a non-CSM mod. I have transfered my whole gpxpdata content from my non-CSM into Data\GpxPatch. Then, in my main csm file in the section, I have added the line GpxPatch =gpxpatch,gpxpatch\%gpname% But if I launch CSM, still it doesn't read the GPxPatch data of my mod, the settings I see don't corrispond, most options are greyed-out. My non-CSM mods? Well I found out the trick: It's as I stated in my post about transforming CSM to non-CSM , but: you have to intercept the GP4Tweak.bin file, if you don't copy this one the game will or crash or show weird grafic anomalies (helmet posibions wrong, wrong cockpit instrument placements, etc.). I think I better re-read this manual, after some 10 years... Thanks Glenn, I think this is resolved! XenonSby XenonS - Grand Prix 4
Glenn, I just figured it out: fast forward/fast back is used AFTER the R command I didn't know that because I never used it, I only used the R command alone. To see more clearly, I have just started the CSM mod 1991 and it works perfectly there. In the options my settings are 24 minutes (set by me) and that's what I get , if I hit the re-start (F1 or F2, I don't know), then I finby XenonS - Grand Prix 4
AArghh...Sorry, I forgot to mention: I'm using the Season 2002 mod (non-CSM). Yes I know that with other mods the replay setting goes up to 1'30'00 , but even then the replay is only about 30 seconds long !! In my current mod, the max bar possible is at 00:01:00. Maybe I'm using the wrong in-game commands? Hitting F5 will change the 'optimal driving line' on/offby XenonS - Grand Prix 4
Hi, I have read various posts about this but the solutions are or confusing or not working. I want to get a longer Instant Replay than the max. 1 minute, I mean the instant replay (pause + R during race) not the race replay. It's not in the F1grafics.cfg, AFAIK not in Magic Data or in the GP4Tweaker. I have set Advanced grafics to manual and have run 'Test' again, but this wilby XenonS - Grand Prix 4
