Thank you! I will give this a try, but I should now be able to use your 2014 helmets & some great looking tarmac! What's the deal with the driver 9,10, 21? Is it extra drivers vs the original game?by RHill - Grand Prix 4
Hi all, Firstly, thank you to all who have helped by answering my....endless questions, you have helped an enormous amount and I am now becoming a lot more comfortable with the structure of the GP4 game files and how to mod various aspects of it. One by one, your solving my issues! I do though have a couple of questions related to installing helmets and tarmac textures (Sound, I just aboutby RHill - Grand Prix 4
I too would be interested to know that. Should it be disabled, what then?by RHill - Grand Prix 4

Ok, just to give people as much info as possible, I deleted a csm file (left over from an old install) in the gp4saves folder, and the tyres and rims work for all the tracks I have a performance file for. However, when I load a track that a performance file isn't included for, it still ignores the perf file I load in gpxpatch. So I think the files that work must differ from my edited oneby RHill - Grand Prix 4
Hi guys, I think I have tracked down my problem with excaliburs 2014 tyres, to the game 'looking' or loading a different performance file to the one I am pointing to or loading in gpxpatch. In my gpxpatch folder there are several performance files for different races. I am loading say Shanghai in gpxpatch ( with my tyre changes) and launching the game from gpxpatch. But I then choby RHill - Grand Prix 4
guys I am having a lot of problems with installing this mod again. I can't understand why at all. I placed ALL the textures into cars, cars, tyres I placed all the lods into cars, cars Then complied my car.wad back up and moved to my install. My performance file looks like this version=213 Name #00=supersoft Name #01=soft Name #02=medium Name #03=hard Name #04=adby RHill - Grand Prix 4
Great looking skins for the lotus here!.........I do have a slight issue though. The skin changes no problem, but the nose section looks strange. Does anyone know how I can fix this?by RHill - Grand Prix 4
well there goes my championship hopes...................by RHill - Grand Prix 4
Hi guys, I was wondering since the Q1, Q2, Q3 rule came in for 2006 and obviously wasn't around in 2001, how does quali work with many of the mods post 2005? Is the knock out not possible? I wondered how the settings in the game options effects this?by RHill - Grand Prix 4
thanks mate Another one for anyone out there......is there a way to undo your mistakes........like codemasters flashback function for exampleby RHill - Grand Prix 4
Ok so I am going to create one new thread to ask all my newbie questions, to not create loads of topics! Can someone tell me how to bring up the current level of tyre wear during a race. I have seen this along the bottom of the screen in peoples screenshots and videos......says rear tyre wear then some numbers and the same for front tyre wear.by RHill - Grand Prix 4
Hi all, A quick question on screen resolution. Can someone tell me how to select it? In game my resolution does not show as an option. Some csm mods enable me to select it and all works great, but what if there is not an option to change in the csm tool, is there another way to select the resolution you need?by RHill - Grand Prix 4
Hi all, I have a few questions about pit stops and strategy in GP4. Am I right in thinking that any soft or hard compounds contained in a mod are purely graphical? For example the 2009 mod has some teams running stripped options and some teams unmarked hards, but of course both the soft and harder compounds are available (in the pit stop menu) to all and changing your selection doesn'by RHill - Grand Prix 4
just another weird question.....I appear to be missing massa from my game! His name appears on the list of times, but when a cycle through I can't see him, just raikkonen. I'm guessing the two blank cars are spare slots? Any ideas? EDIT Just reloaded and now massa is there but raikkonen goneby RHill - Grand Prix 4
Thanks for the help, I can now load tracks etc so should be able to create the season of tracks for csm mods. When using the mod, I notice several tyre choices. I have dry soft, dry hard, and a lot of wet options. I see some ai cars with the stripped tyre to signify options I believe? However my dry and hard tyres don't look any different when I cycle through them. Is this because theby RHill - Grand Prix 4
Ok so there's a difference between a trackpack and a track profile then. I've inserted tracks before by downloading them to my HD and browsing to them in the track tab of gpxpatch. I'm not sure though about this ini file I need to create. If I have it correct I need to do the following...... 1) Download/find the tracks I want to use , saving to my HD for the future 2) cby RHill - Grand Prix 4
Does anyone who uses the mod have a track profile already? If not I'll download the tracks and create one from the other thread.....hopefully!by RHill - Grand Prix 4
kedy89 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > In the mod's configurables, in the bottom right > corner you can select a trackprofile. Does the csm mod come with a track profile I should select then? Where is it located if so? Thanksby RHill - Grand Prix 4
I reverted back to 4.24 which did the trick, but nice to know there is another way as you point out. When using the same mod, I load say instanbul from the csm menu, but Monaco loads. When I say choose Istanbul from the in game menu, I get imola! Can I load a track another way or check the track being loaded or something.by RHill - Grand Prix 4
Hi guys, I have been using the 2009 csm mod (Fsone). I have white tyres on both mclarens though, any ideas?by RHill - Grand Prix 4
Hi, I'm using this skin on my gp4forever mod install and it looks great (figured out installing skins I think) My question is, the drivers head is too low in the cockpit now though, can this be adjusted?by RHill - Grand Prix 4
mission accomplished! Great looking tyres, with individual driver choices.........excellent, thanks for the help and the mod!by RHill - Grand Prix 4
Thanks for all the input so far guys I have a question on adding cars. Is there a tutorial you could point me to? A tool I require? Edit: So i have found a tutorial for adding cars however I have two problems. 1) where do the TEX files go and what do they get renamed to? The same as the lod's are renamed to? 2) How do you know what team to replace. For example I want to instalby RHill - Grand Prix 4
Hi guys So I'm making progress and learning a lot about gp4. I now can add tracks etc, but I have a question about using these tyres. I'm using the gp4forever 2014 mod files. This is not a csm mod. I also use the latest gpxpatch4.30a......i think. I'm not sure if the files I used from gpforever mean I'm using an older version. Either way I think I have the lods anby RHill - Grand Prix 4
ok guys, i think have the CSM loading sorted out. Time now to learn about adding a track, then the 2014 tyres. I'll try the tracks first, but any help is appreciated. I'll try your links above first. Is there a tutorial anywhere? On the tyres, I think i would be able to do it, but I'm lost when it comes to the performance file....where is it?!by RHill - Grand Prix 4
Thanks for the help and detail. When I try to run the CSM mod from GP4 central, the CSM tool tells me the exe has been modified and I require an original exe? I only changed the exe to the nocd one as per the advice. I'm going to go down the csm route since I think several seasons are available in csm? I will then try to add tracks afterwards. With respect to the tyres, can thesby RHill - Grand Prix 4
Hi everyone, So I'm new to GP4, but I have learnt a fair bit in the last few days and I now have a fully installed, fresh GP4, patched and with GPX patch 4.30a installed. So I'm looking now to update the game with a 2014 mod, but specifically I'm hoping to have the correct tyre compounds on show for each track. I want to get into other season mods also, so general advice on hby RHill - Grand Prix 4
