But GP4 crashes with me when I try to load a track in the 88 mod to race on. It simply freezes and then shows me an error screen. I thought it might be because I omitted the step I outlined above, that is, copying the '1988-Tracby Jagdpanzer - Grand Prix 4
I have recently downloaded the 1988 mod, and I have a couple of questions. The mod installed but from the read me fear I might have left out a step. The read me says: NOTES "1. FULL PERMANENT SEASON - the game will crash if you use this set without installinit!!! - to install the full set permanently run the FULL SEASON (SLOW) option then before closing CSM copy the sixteen '1988-by Jagdpanzer - Grand Prix 4

If you have the car power being team related disabled, all cars will compete on equal footing. Maybe thats why you are getting smoked by the Minardi's and Jordan's?by Jagdpanzer - Grand Prix 4
I never got the set up exactly the way I had hoped to get it. I had to map the brake to a button on the wheel, but I suppose its better than no brake at all. Thrustmapper won't work with the new Thrustmaster drivers, so I am going to try to use RBJoy to map some of the buttons to the wheel. You dont' have to have a wheel for GPL. I played with a joystick until very recently. Although setting one up to play GPL is incredibly easy compared to GP4. BTW - in GPL you get the 67 season, but there is also a 65 mod, a 69 one on the way - all with acccurate and completely different cars. Hundreds of tracks have been created for GPL, including all the classics. The best community for thby Jagdpanzer - Grand Prix 4

Well I found and tried the drivers you mentioned. No good. Before I had gas on both the brake and gas pedal, with the new drivers the gas worked, but the brake was dead all together - it never did function as a brake, and never moved off the Y axis, the slider just went in the opposite direction on the same axis from when I applied the gas. I repeatedly tried to get a new axis assigned in theby Jagdpanzer - Grand Prix 4
Lo2K thanks for the response. Do you use the Thrustmapper software that came with the wheel? When I tried that I could get brake and gas going, but not the gears. I couldn't figure out how to map the key combination for upshift/downshift. Also the software wasn't comaptible with this latest driver I had installed, so it fouled up the calibration of the wheel in the windows game controllby Jagdpanzer - Grand Prix 4
Folks I am at my wits end trying to set up a split axis control set for GP4. I am using a Thrustmaster F1 FF wheel, and no matter what I try I cannot seperate the throttle and brake. I am using the paddles on the wheel, not the pedals, as they have lost response. The throttle works fine, but what should be brake is throttle too. Pawgy, I had the same problem. I got it to stop by opening CSM, going to the configure screen, and the setting tyre type to 2D, and tyre texture resolution to standard.....by Jagdpanzer - Grand Prix 4
Maybe the new steering wheels made by stifflers mum for the Jordan, Renault, etc. could be in the update too?by Jagdpanzer - Grand Prix 4
