Best guess is that the object names in the .GP4 file are incorrect. Helmets need a 'Helmet' object, and a 'Visor' object (which the game will make transparent).by AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4
Hmm, it should be working correctly then. Have you tried recalibrating the controls in-game?by AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4
Cheers Tobi. If you ever need something like that in the future, let me know.by AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4
To me, that sounds like Pinnacle isn't working properly/isn't realising when you're playing GP4. If you imported and are using the the Pinnacle profile (.pin) I sent you, the controller should rumble when you press the left trigger. Does this happen?by AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4
Right analog is how I have my steering, and so this is how it is setup in my .con file. If you want to use left analog stick, you'll have to change the settings for that stick in the Pinnacle profile because of how I've set it up; Remove the Horizontal and Vertical Read blocks, remove the axis assignments from the Right stick and assign them to the left stick. Here is my Pinnacle profile, and here is my in-game controller setup. Obviously you can use it however you want, but here is what I use: Throttle/Brake = Right/Left trigger respectively. Steering = Right joystick. Shift Up/Down = Left joystick Down/Up respectively. 'A' = Pit 'B' = Traction Control 'Y' = Launch Control Notes: ------- * In Pinnacle, I hby AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4
Version 1.3 available in the 1st Post. No updates to the trackpack at this time so, if you've already got it, you don't need to download it again. To begin, this is likely to be the last 'proper' update I do for the mod. This is unrelated to my next 'project' that I posted about at the end of August - certain things have delayed that by at least six months - butby AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4
What controller are you using? I've got a profile that works well with an Xbox 360 controller.by AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4

My track is progressing nicely, and I'm currently adding Video screens. My question is, when the displays are Off (Set to off in the f1graphics.cfg for example), can I display an ATX sequence instead of a still image? When I tried it, the screen is just white like it has a missing texture. (And the displays work fine when set to On) I've never done an ATX sequence before, so maybe iby AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4
It's not my favourite track in the world, but that looks fantastic!by AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4
Which 2016 mod are you using? Sounds like it might be a physics/torque problem.by AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4
I don't know about downloading the car by itself, but I think you might find it in the 2005 mod.by AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4
First thing to check - and I know it sounds obvious - but you have converted the textures to .tga first? Other than that, make sure your Display preferences are set correctly: Tools -> Preferences -> Display: Texture Mapping needs to be checked. As far as wheels go, you should just be able to import the model for the Wheel into Zmodeler 1) Import your car, import the wheel, move the whby AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4

In this day and age, I had to double check and make sure that Vacancy wasn't somebody's name.by AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4
Yes mate, that's what I was thinking of. For the blur, it depends on what program you are using. I only know GIMP so, if that's what you use: * Filters -> Blur -> Motion Blur * For the Tread, use 'Linear' blur with 'Angle' set to 180 or 360, changing the 'Length' for each level of Blur * For the Sidewall, use 'Radial' blur, making sureby AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4
This is a bit rough, but I hope it helps: 1) Find a Goodyear Eagle sidewall texture, such as one from the 1996 Mod, or look for a stencil online. 2) Open one of Excalibur's Pirelli textures in - Or, better yet, ask him for his 2016 Pirelli Tyres template. 3) Copy and paste the Goodyear Eagle bit in place of the Pirelli sidewall 4) Depending on the program you are using, there should bby AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4
For debris, you'll need to modify one of the radio_*.bnk files in \Samples, where '*' is a 3-letter language abbreviation. Lo2K's Sample Editor will allow you to edit the .bnk files (they're just like archives) and replace the correct file once you work out which one it is. You might also need to convert your sounds to the correct format, but I don't much about thaby AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4
I'll certainly be trying the CMagic way tomorrow now, now that I know that's how you did your Mexico!by AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4
That must be one of the Magic Data values that TSM is missing I just used CMagic to get the data for Monaco, and compared it to the data that TSM gets for Monaco, and I can't see that 17055 anywhere in the TSM-generated magic data file but I can in the CMagic file.by AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4
Hi all, For the track I'm currently working on, I was curious to see how I could simulate a high-altitude race; Monza style speeds with Monaco levels of wing, such as we see at Mexico. I knew that I could do it via the physics file, but I wanted to try with Magic Data. Now that I've done it, I'm not sure that I'll actually use it, but I thought I should share what I found oby AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4
It sounds like you've got it all figured out, but some suggestion/question from me: Track stuff: >I then manually create new tracks in TSM and pointing to the WAD files in the main GP4 directory When you create a New Track in TSM and select your WAD/DAT/Loading Screen etc, these all get copied automatically to the Track's actual folder: \Tracks\TrackName So, what ends up haby AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4
First Question: CSM gives you a tool to build a CSM mod from a GP4 Installation: CSM -> Extra Stuff -> 'Build CSM Set' Tab'; Check all the boxes except for 'High lods only', 'High res only' and 'Swap gp4.exe' Click the '...' box to select your GP4 Installation, and then click 'Build'. This will create a CSM mod with alby AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4
