Wow, it's overwhelming to see this bug being fixed after such a long time. Very great, you tried to find a fix on your own and had success! I will try this fix and tell you, if there appeared some new problems. BTW: You told, you learned assemler. What are your recommendations to learn this language (special website, special book, etc.)?by klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4
Thanks, Gildav, for your updated version. Now, it works fine for me. Great track and a great idea to involve the oval-layout-pitlane into the international layout. It looks very spectacular. Also I love the oval track!!! Nice idea with bridges and elevations.by klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4
Installation of new tracks get more and more difficult. I miss good old times, where tracks had one of the 17 slots and simple copy&pasting installed every track. For me the curcuit-file is loading, but the graphics shows a different wad file on the screen. So, I can't use this track so far .by klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4

Hello to all, due to the fact, that I still did not get the sense and the effect of the GPxPatch's settings "Old behaviour", "Power only", "Grip only" and "Power and grip" (GPxPatch's documentation is very, very short in this point), I made some tests to check these settings out. What we are talking about: Subject of testing: I checkedby klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4
And what about players who don't use CSM? How to enable a damage.ini in this case?by klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4
Great, Laurent! Nice to hear, you could fix this bug. I'm very glad to see the final GP4Builder version being released now!by klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4
Yes, I know exactly what you are talking about. The cause is the col-file of Singapore, which declares tarmac runoffs as 'grass' or 'hard (behaviour)'. What to do about it? You will have to correct the col-file via GP4Builder, what can be quite much work, sadly. But maybe someone in this community already has got a corrected col-file for Singapore and will share it here.by klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4
Great track! Thanks!by klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4

Really impressive! Great work so far. It could become one of my 20 championship tracks !by klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4
I'm answering to the first question! The AI's agressiveness can be influenced via some values: - General performance via performance-file , via cc power factor ace (if your difficulty is 'ace' and via cc grip factor ace . - Breaking agressiveness via added to car.field_108. related to cc grip factor/Breaking aggressivness and grip???/Breaking aggressiveness finetune . - Aby klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4

Wow, great to see this mod getting public. Thank you to: - Ayman for having a lot of effort converting this mod and proving the legality of it. - Mortal for trying to prevent this site to get legal issues. Without gpg the community would be in trouble! - of course: the original authors of these cars here! So great to see old games like GP4 or F1C99 still being played in 2017.by klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4
I guess all the skirmishes about the 2017 mod prevented most of the users to guess what will be released now. Better not to get involved into a critical topic like this. Even after release, I think, most of the user will download it silently without posting any comment about it here. That's where we are meanwhile. One thing I really can't get into my head is, why the authors don'by klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4
Thanks for your report, Daniel1989, I think I will once again completely reinstall Grand Prix 4 and see if that works. Thanks to Windows 10 it is already the 4th reinstallation needed to get the tools working.by klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4
Still this thread here: On my new PC (Windows 10) I have 2 harddrives: C: SSD --> Win-installation D: HDD --> GP4 and ZAZ-Tools But Easywad still does not work, saying opening a wad-file with Easywad would be an "illegal switch". Any solutions or alternatives?by klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4
@Daniel1989: Nice to hear, that at least someone else is having the same issue like I have ! Hopefully we can solve it.by klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4
Thanks for the explanation, Laurent. But I'm quite sure that this feature is not really archieving it's goals. As I see the .dat-file is (at least on my current track) not affected by the lock, so there is still no problem to insert my name as an author. And even if.. I just checked it: Editing the 'GP4 Infos extended data' via a HexEditor is as easy as sitting on the couch. Tby klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4
Hey all, I just wanted to edit an existing track, but GP4Builder tells me, that this file has been locked by the author. The dat file and all other files in the track folder do not even show by whom this track has been made. And even if... most authors of old tracks are absent here for several years now. I think, this feature will destroy this community, finally. Authors go, and with them theiby klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4
Thanks for this update! I really love the 1995 tracks.by klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4

New Test: 1. I deleted the circuit folder completely. 2. I copyed the jecarepagua track 17-times and renamed those files to: s1ct01, s1ct02, ... and s1ct17. 3. Now I opened the dat-files in the circuit-folder and looked at what track appears in GP4-builder. Results: s1ct01 Melbourne 2015 s1ct02 Dubai autodrome s1ct03 Interlagos s1ct04 Sakhir s1ct05 Jecarepagua s1ct06 Jecarepagua s1by klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4
Do you mean these properties here? I already made all possible things, like admin-status, aktivating all rights shown above, deleting the whole folder an recreating it manually but the bug still appears. It seems as if an exe is always restoring the folder equal to whatever I do. Crazy: Some things like the name of the track are shown correcty in game, but everything else is the originaby klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4
One thing, Laurent: Windows 10 is making me desperate. I made some changes to Jecarepagua-track (s1ct03.dat), saved it. When I re-open the file, the changes are allright. Then right click --> copy. I go to GP4/circuits folder. Right click --> paste. Quite easy so far. BUT: When I now re-open the s1ct03.dat-file in the circuit folder (what should be Jecarepagua now) it is still Interlagby klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4
Hello to all, as it seems, Zaz tools aren't available anywhere at the moment. Everytime someone asks for a link he gets one, but after 2 weeks the files are down again. Via Google you can get hundrets of forum threads like this. So what about uploading Zaz tools permanently in our donwload section? Would that be possible? EDIT: Just found it! It was hid anywhere there on page 2, sry.by klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4
I really don't understand the sense of this thread. Okay, you want to play a realistic racing simulation with up-to-date cars, nearly all tracks all over the world and lots of different racing series that works on all computers and systems? Then try Grand Prix 4. I played the F1 series by Codemasters for a while, but after just 2 weeks it is with it's not at all moddable game engineby klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4
Thanks for sharing you files, Prblanco! And of course also thank you for all you did for Grand Prix 4 so far. I love your tracks!by klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4
I don't think you need a special PC with modern technique to play GP4. I just bought a very, very cheap computer with an onboard graphic solution and even this is enough to play GP4 with high graphic settings. In general most of the data for GP4 are calculated by the graphic card, not by the processor. So the processor is not that important. Even an old Intel pentium IV might be enough.
