About the boost system. I see what Marcus complains about. We have 22 drivers, every one with their 6 boost potions and only 13 races to spend. So statistically it can happen that for example the 10 drivers deceided to use their boost for a certain round. Because of that it may give them impression that their boost worked bad (simply because there were too many using the same boost at the same tiby Soutsen - Grand Prix 4
In fact you've been pushed off track during overtakes/tapped into a gravel from behind multiple times in like every single race i've done there... i remember it clearly :D bad karma, i guess also I remember Pedersen and Keranen being pretty much constantly competative during these, that's the only one correlation I've noticed during the tests, aside from you spinning/walkby Soutsen - Grand Prix 4
To make it clear, I'm fine with whatever happens, it was a suggestion only. I didn't see anyone supporting my idea of widering the gaps, so it should stay untouched obviously. Widering the gaps for the R1 only still looks reasonable for me, since it is the only round when we, humans, have no affect on the things to happen. Since the R2 different driver/team boosts will shake up the fielby Soutsen - Grand Prix 4
Meanwhile, the rocket science continues: With having no boosts for R1 at Melbourne it's easy for everyone to understand what results may be for the race with simulating it (every one of us can do this on our PCs). While doing it with the current starting perf file I found out that the results are absolutely random, I mean there was no correlation with anything whatsoever. I had AMR driversby Soutsen - Grand Prix 4
JohnMaverick Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > we won't return back to the old days In my previous post I've said already that I don't want it to return to situation when one driver wins with a huge gap, ending a season with 16210-16240 perf value for the race and stuff like that, like it was with Greenhalgh for seasons 6 and 7. well, I'll wait for the post №20 on this page and drop my stuff then, so there won't be much need to scroll it down. meanwhile a quick questions for everyone envolved (both drivers and team bosses): what is your opinion on building perf files? how much impact driver/engine boosts should deliver? were you satisfied with how it worked last season? what is your opinion on the current pby Soutsen - Grand Prix 4
Are the spoilers broken for me only? Any hint maybe on how to get it work? I'm just ready to post some stuff, but it contains lots of pics and I don't really like to pollute your screens with it, since it may be not really useful for the major part of readers.by Soutsen - Grand Prix 4
nothing special, average season ahead, with hamilton winning easily, if no technical (engine f.e) problems again. last great season was 2008, with 2 top teams being even (mclaren-ferrari), with bmw being really close behind them, and with alonso sneaky winning twice (even tho with cheating at singapoore, which was epic and pure f1 greatness for my taste, big to briatore for doing crazy stuff liby Soutsen - F1
one more question: for the R1 at Melbourne no driver boosts allowed, but are the team boosts allowed for this race?by Soutsen - Grand Prix 4
what's the reasoning behind keeping the specific (limited) boosts (=100 points as for now)? why can't we give the drivers for example 1200 points to spend through the season with limiting the lowest (100) and highest (300) (for example) ammount of points they can spend for one race? and why we have no separate boosts for qualy and race as well? what was the problem with implementing theby Soutsen - Grand Prix 4
That's good, I just don't think that Melbourne is famous for being demanding to transmission and the wheels. While testing the boost ideas and stuff at Melbourne having to see the one car retiring because of the same wheel problem every time is a bit tiring (I mean, it would be nice to have some variation on these). And I agree that Spa should be more technically demanding, especially tby Soutsen - Grand Prix 4
What about technical failure chance for the trackpack, Connor? Have you edited that at some point? For example Melbourne has only Wheel (744) and Transmission (744) failure chance, while Spa has Suspension (744), Wheel (744), Puncture (1488), Engine (2488), Transmission (1488), Leak (744) Throttle/Brake (744) and Electrics (1488) which looks much more challenging for the cars. Did some research about how variance works for AI drivers. The track I used was Melbourne from the GPGSL S11 trackpack, with some magic data modifications (AI errors set to 0, Stop 1 on lap 14, Window 0). Did 4 quick race sessions (100% distance), with the same weather seed (0,0,0,0,0,0 - which is the driest set possible, to prevent the different weather conditions distorting the results) and witby Soutsen - Grand Prix 4
well, that was the issue: 1 - c.warrington got his rear wing off 2 - he got it repaired in 5 seconds and goes out of the pits 3 - later on his teammate cremasco got refueled in 5.7 seconds 4 - end of the race, they both have 1 pit and it was 5,0 and 5,7 seconds while the rest of the field had 9-10 seconds. i checked it on melbourne again and got no similar problem, my guess is that the rearby Soutsen - Grand Prix 4
what option determines the length of pit-stop? while one of my tests i just noticed that one of the teams got both their cars refueled in 5 seconds while the rest of the field got 9-10 seconds in average for refueling. i checked it for another races, and it seems like it was a one-time bug, but still... also it seems that wing repairment time is way too short.by Soutsen - Grand Prix 4
Thanks for the answer. Do I understand it right, that AMR (team 1 in S10 championship) got 12 bhp points, MPR got 14, One got 16 and so on with the 4 new teams (MTP, Alpha, Mistral, Tyrant) got 32 bhp points for S11 to spend?by Soutsen - Grand Prix 4

yup, i'm displayed as scala at the perfs, and the perf values are his, not mine too (the helmet and the car are fine). p.s. not a single team did a different liverie for their testers squad this season p.p.s. doing some tests about perfs and stuff right now, with full-time live races tho (not accelerated, cuz i believe this feature leads to unrepresentative results). need 2-3 days to finiby Soutsen - Grand Prix 4
To get rid of the "mirrored textures" bug, shown at this pic for example (Santander logo): you need to find a following line in your f1graphics.cfg file: 1 ; Enable wet weather reflections and change it from 1 to 0. p.s. yes, this is definitely avast problem (i'm using it as well), it sees the zaz-tools as the virus for some reason (because there was an actual virus called zaz or something as far as I concern, which was a totally different program obviously). the easiest way is to disable avast while you're installing/operating with zaz tools... well, this is how i solved this problem for me - i disableby Soutsen - Grand Prix 4
This is the last and a hardest request by me for today. I remember this was absolutely beautiful looking red/white car. Kind of like this, but with some white segments: This particular livery inspired me big time when I was creating my own car designs. I've lost the file somewhere in 2013 and since my memory getting blurry, I'd like to ask some of the old active members from that erby Soutsen - Grand Prix 4

Posting another separate request (this is fine hopefully?), so it will be easier to find from search to those who lost it, just like I did. Looking for this beautiful track, which was one of my fav fictional circuits for gp4. Despite visionals may be not impressive really (though I love the tropical setting on this one, as well as vanilla grass textures are the still best looking imo), and even bby Soutsen - Grand Prix 4
Yes, this is exactly what I was looking for, thank you, Jurgen! And to those who might be interested in solving a grandstand problem, the answer was given here.by Soutsen - Grand Prix 4
Bump. Lost all my gp4 files recently (a year ago actually), now I'm gathering all I have lost again... Anyone here to upload the retextured Canon Test Circuit by Jimbob1?
