In GP4 there are about 224 references to this buffer, which itself can't be enlarged, so all the references have to be changed. I'm too lazy to do them by hand, but I can imagine a generic way to scan all code/data sections and patch them automatically. Even then, there might be more limits lurking in the code. An example is the track zone buffer, which I didn't know about until reby SDI - Grand Prix 4
Ah ok, forgot about that. I'll change it.by SDI - Grand Prix 4
By the way, 1650 segments (I call the 16 feet units segments, as sectors can span multiple segments) is the size of a buffer in memory to contain the segments (both track and pit segments). There's also a track zone buffer, with 1 zone spanning 32 segments. These exclude the pit segments. I found these while searching for the yellow flag zones. The size of the buffer is 50 track zones. I would be interested in a minimal track, an oval of minimum length. This would help me a lot with testing, as it saves me a lot of time driving test laps.by SDI - Grand Prix 4
I'm hiding it in free practice because you're alone...by SDI - Grand Prix 4
No speed traps yet. It would take forever to release 4.11 if I tried to put in everything that is asked forby SDI - Grand Prix 4
You did enable it in the part, not the part?by SDI - Grand Prix 4
GPxPatch/GP4 have no problem with FireFox. CSM has. And not just FireFox, but with any application that has a window title that starts with "GPxPatch". Changing to another tab in FireFox while using CSM should already help.by SDI - Grand Prix 4
This can happen if the window title of another app (in this case FireFox) starts with GPxPatch. For example, the browser window now begins with "GPxPatch 4.11 W.I.P.". CSM tries to see if GPxPatch is still running by looking for a window with a title that starts with GPxPatch. Or at least that's what I assume, as I had the same problem until I first closed the other app.by SDI - Grand Prix 4
Yes, I'm currently thinking about how to draw the cars. The yellow dots from trackmapbuttons.tga are now used for the yellow zones. So the cars will need a new dot. The player's car used to be different, but due to a bug could be covered by the cc cars. I think highlighting the selected car is more appropriate. Perhaps I can also draw the selected driver 3-letter code next to the dot, aby SDI - Grand Prix 4
I don't think this Microsoft page applies here. It applies to Win98/ME and IE 5.0 There can be many reasons for runtime error 216. Also, searching for 7c9101b3 gives all kinds of search results.by SDI - Grand Prix 4
@shlund: No, the HUD 2013 and Pitboard will not be standard items (haven't talked with Samuele about this either). @Prblanco: Yes, I removed the stretching. It will maintain the aspect ratio now. Well observedby SDI - Grand Prix 4
Good point about the driver name in gap items. I've just changed the default length from 4 to 3 and when it's 3 it will show the same 3-letter name as in digital 2010.by SDI - Grand Prix 4
You should run it with a filter on gp4tweaker and check the Result column for failures near the end.by SDI - Grand Prix 4
What I would do is run Process Monitor and see what Windows API fails.by SDI - Grand Prix 4
.dat file max size = 200000. max number of segments = 1631 (excluding pit lane). Maybe I should implement the assertions for GP4. This helped when hitting limits with GP3 track editing.by SDI - Grand Prix 4
Yes, you can package all track files together in 1 separate directory now. For next version I'll also try to make it easy to package a trackpack (whole season) together. Magic data is not separate because it should be part of the track checksum. When I read it from a file I need to include it in the track checksum. I might implement this for next version.by SDI - Grand Prix 4
It should be final lap already. Maybe you have changed it in gpxsat.INI in the past.by SDI - Grand Prix 4
In panel.INI. Yes, check if another key is also assigned to V.by SDI - Grand Prix 4
Try to add enable1=1, enable2=1, enable3=1 and enable4=1 in the merge folder.by SDI - Grand Prix 4
You can specify in the same file that f1graphics.cfg controls all settings. At the top I think.by SDI - Grand Prix 4
I guess that the merging fails. Would like to see the merged .INI and also gpxcinfo.log.by SDI - Grand Prix 4
Make sure the gp4.exe is not read-only. See properties with right click in explorer.by SDI - Grand Prix 4
Make sure the GPxCInfo extension is actually enabled on the GPxPatch tab.by SDI - Grand Prix 4
You can fix the text by setting the x-coordinate of each item to -1. Then they will be lined up at the right of the screen.by SDI - Grand Prix 4
