Thank you, guys. * Don't know if you've heard about this or not: Even if it would likely include a revised 'Hella Licht' (it would surely have another name now) and probably something else to slow the cars down for the crazy-fast Dr. Tiroch Kurve, it would look cool. * As for the old Osterreichring, those of you who read the track building topic here on GPG maby Atticus. - Grand Prix 4
I was just about to say you don't need to re-do the whole thing because of the Turn 3-Turn 4 dilemma (one shorter sector will not do much harm especially with no elevation gradient present) - but then I saw the detailed info Prblanco provided. Nothing matches F1virtual's attention to detail.by Atticus. - Grand Prix 4
@auscain: Meh... The track map in this article is the official track map downloaded from the FIA website. Compare the length of the straights between Turn 2 & 3 and Turns 4 & 5 to your .dat's. Here the former is much longer. In your version they're nearly equal in length.by Atticus. - Grand Prix 4
As a "track builder Nazi," I must notice Turn 3 is one intersection further down the road compared to what you created. (Turn 4 is one intersection closer to Turns 5 and 6 as a result as well.) I hope I'm not too late with this. Apart from that, thank you very much, it's very nice that it's getting done.by Atticus. - Grand Prix 4
@Turbo Lover, @klausfeldmann: Thank you, guys. The real track is actually reasonably well off despite the lack of mainstream racing nowadays. Ferrari Challenge visited it in 2015 and there are short videos about it on YouTube - and the track looks alright. I think that's mainly because its owner is Lawrence Stroll who is wealthy enough to invest in top-notch facilities back in 2000 and 20by Atticus. - Grand Prix 4
Soooo... We all love Montreal, right? Yeah. That's because we haven't seen Mont Tremblant. Well, not during an F1 event since 1970, but some of you I know are in the vicinity and some of you actually know this track. 'Le Circuit,' as it is affectionately known around the French-speaking region of the Laurentian mountains, is one of only two tracks that I know have beby Atticus. - Grand Prix 4
I agree that the track is actually decent and that the boring race was circumstantial. You won't always get accurate elevation data from Google Earth, however - in fact, in most cases, you can actually only use it to get a rough approximation of the elevation profile and then you do need to fiddle A LOT to get the details right. You can trust the new elevation maps on Formula1.com thouby Atticus. - Grand Prix 4
Two years in the making (with huge gaps, of course), Mont Tremblant is just about ready for release. 'Le Circuit,' as it is affectionately known around the French-speaking region of the Laurentian mountains, is one of only two tracks that I know have been labelled the 'mini-Nurburgring,' in this case by Jackie Stewart when F1 paid a visit in 1968 and 1970. Mont Tremblant is now only a preview video and a release away. It should be out shortly after the Canadian Grand Prix. It averages 220kph over one lap and it pretty neat, especially the original North course sections (Esses, Gulch, Bridge corner and, of course, Namerow). It's also conductive to overtaking - not surprisingly, given it's from the 1960s; almost every old track providesby Atticus. - Grand Prix 4

Hi guys, First of al, thank you for all the positive feedback recently. It does mean a lot when one has issues on the personal motivation side... The revamped Brands Hatch Indy is up. Unfortunate last-minute circumstances, guys, but Brands Hatch Indy won't be ready for today after all. It's ALMOST ready, but I had some vis maior in the last few days. I plan to make it available some time next week. Sorry.by Atticus. - Grand Prix 4
What impressives me the most with this thing is a) your evidently apparent enthusiasm for the whole project, from inception to implementation, including a staggering - and perhaps a bit unnoticed - attention to detail in, like, write-ups, concepts, division structure, etc. and b) the fact that your formula for determining package strengths seems to be working 100% well - most people hold ceby Atticus. - Grand Prix 4
@EricMoinet: Thank you, I do my best. It's online, by the way. It's a re-release of sorts of the previous version, labelled 2012, so I won't hype it up here too much. This is the track map anyway and yes, it's a completely revised elevation profile which, I believe, is now as good as it can get. Hi guys. It's where sports prototypes and GTs regularly hold their launch season tests. A few weeks ago, it was GTs, now it's the ELMS and on March 25-26, it's the Le Mans cars. Hm, that might be an issue - I run Windows 7. For me, NVIDIA shows up in the in-game graphics menu and I always though that actually means the game uses my NVIDIA card. I can still do - but, as I said, I run Windows 7 and sadly, I have no experience with Windows 10.by Atticus. - Grand Prix 4

@architect: Hi there. Your problem is very likely to be in the .dat. It's very likely easily fixable, it's just not easy to spot - and one little mismanaged command or something like that can give you CTDs. Please PM me the .dat, I'll have a look at it and try to find the source of the problem. Welcome to track building, btw, and have fun with it.by Atticus. - Grand Prix 4

Here it is, guys. The mighty old Kyalami circuit - with a layout as correct as possible.
