Due to the limitations of the original game (2002), it is not possible to have three qualifying sessions. Glenn (Cdn)by gap177 - Grand Prix 4

There are three (3) ways to install tracks into Gp4. 1. Copy and paste the dat file into the circuits folder and the wad file into the root of your Gp4 installation. 2. Use Gpxpatch (Gpxtrack tab). Basic Tutorial: 3. Use TSM to install. I can't help you with this as I do not use csm/tsm. Most mods do not include a trackpack. There are a few though, 88, 91, 94 - 99. Looks awesome Bernard!! Glenn (Cdn)by gap177 - Grand Prix 4
Sorry I don't. The only person with any issues with the HD grid cars was MSchumi so I allowed him to post low res version. Not sure what else I can do for you. Glennby gap177 - Grand Prix 4
Have you tried using the low res version available further down the page? Glennby gap177 - Grand Prix 4
Can you post a screenshot? Glenn (Cdn)by gap177 - Grand Prix 4
Did you try replacing GP2001.gph file that I provided? Glenn (Cdn)by gap177 - Grand Prix 4
Why the need for HD .tga image? The download available in the first post is in HD and I've supplied files for both csm and non csm. Glenn (Cdn)by gap177 - Grand Prix 4
The original game does not have this issue. It is usually related to the .col file of a modded track. I do believe there is a thread in this forum which explains how to fix this issue. The other possible issue may be a graphics setting which I doubt in this case. Glenn (Cdn)by gap177 - Grand Prix 4
@Darksoul, check the thread Gp4 FAQS. I believe there is a tutorial on how to install the cars for both csm and non csm. Glennby gap177 - Grand Prix 4
Heikki, thanks for the information. I got it working now although using a slightly different setting. I have set "1" in f1graphics.cfg and high in game. Works fine. This update has been needed for a long time. Thanks again. Glennby gap177 - Grand Prix 4
@Vesa, I noticed you are using "3", projected shadow setting. Does this shadow addon get rid of the shadow "tails"? I use option "2", composite shadow because I'm not fond of the shadow tails when using the projected shadow setting. When using this shadow addon and utilizing the composite shadow setting, there are no visible changes in game. I've tried allby gap177 - Grand Prix 4

Open car model in Gp4builder and use the values from fl brakeglow, fr brakeglow, rl brakeglow, rr brakeglow. These values will get you close but you may need to fine tune the values to your liking. Glenn (Cdn)by gap177 - Grand Prix 4
If you plan to use these cars in a non csm mod, you will need to rename the lod files only per the 2001 season team order. (ie: mercedes=ferrari, ferrari=mclaren, redbull=williams etc.) I believe there is a topic in the gp4 FAQS thread which explains how to do this. Glenn (Cdn)by gap177 - Grand Prix 4
Thanks for the tutorial Arnaud, much appreciated. Glenn (Cdn)by gap177 - Grand Prix 4
Thank you Heikki, great updates!! The shadow update was definitely needed!! Glenn (Cdn)by gap177 - Grand Prix 4

Most mods do not include tracks. No 2018 trackpack has been released but several individual tracks are available here or over at gp4forever. Melbourne, Sakhir, Paul Ricard, Hungaroring, Spa, Monza, Sochi and Austin were released. Just use the search button to find the tracks. Glenn (Cdn)by gap177 - Grand Prix 4
