Both Horner and Ricciardo have publically stated that Vettel was never like this at Red Bull. I don't think that the major problem is Ferrari's dip in form, although it contributes. What I think is up, is that the current situation is screwing up his whole self-perception as the man that is the successor of MS. I think the most telling episode was in free practice, when he mouthed off aby Morbid - F1
I don't have specific information on the setup of the Renualts for Spa, but I do know some things. The engine is not really that bad now, and not at all like the '15 spec, so I doubt they would take off downforce to allow for higher top speeds because of the engine. As we can see, the Red Bulls are doing ok with it. The major problems are down to the lack of development for the 16 seasoby Morbid - F1

Magnussen has been taken off track, to get a possible fracture of his left ankle x-rayed at a hospital. It is uncertain if he can race at Monza. Update: According to Danish tabloid media, Magnussen's personal trainer has said, that there is no fracture just heavy bruising and a cut. It's no surprise that the Pirelli's don't disperse the water as well as the Bridgestones did. From 2001 Bridgestone had pretty much unlimited testing @ Fiorano with it's ability to simulate wet track conditions, something which has not been afforded to Pirelli.by Morbid - F1
These power units were decided at board meetings at the corporate level. The sport is too expensive to run without manufacturers, and they in turn want to showcase product that they can sell. In the private market for road cars, v8's up are dead. The ironic thing about this is, Renault was actually the most eager backer of this new engine formula. Look what they got out of that And for tby Morbid - F1
Yeah, the race was ok. Not amazing, but above par I think. As for supporting Williams, at least you know they are there because they want to race, not because they are trying to get fans to buy a car. And yeah, Max Verstappen, I definately was sorely mistaken in my assessment of whether or not he was too young when he was promoted to Toro Rosso - like completely in the wrong. Well, the weather brought all my considerations about track limits to a naught. Of comments worth making, that might not have been caught be other media: Palmer suffered damage to the car (unspecified when but I'll assume it was from the botched pit stop), which rendered the rear ride height untenable. His extreme lack of pace is not a reflection of skill (for those that taped the raceby Morbid - F1
A quick note on the enforcement of the track limitations, that we saw led to several P and Q times being deleted. I found it a bit confusing. I saw several drivers leave the track at T20 with no consequence. On the top of my head, I can think of KM, EG and LH. So, I dug around on the FIA site for the Pre-race briefing from Charlie. What can I say Gav? We rarely agree on anything, but Monza gone is a death blow. Luckily Bernie's plans has been thwarted, and we are back to 2015 quals. Let's see if Bernie can sustain the game of chicken with Monza.by Morbid - F1
Qualifying has a deselection after every 90 seconds. The slowest car is eliminated. There is a grace period of a couple of minutes. In theory, it is brilliant. In reality, not so much. First of all, the teams didn't understand the rules. If your car is under threat, it has to complete a new lap before the countdown runs out. This requires an exit lap of x seconds (melbourne 90 secs), andby Morbid - F1

Seriously, if we get closed cockpits, after 15 years of watching every race, that is the end of F1 for me. As has been pointed out by several experts, it does not help! The driver extraction issues alone, when you don't have the car utilities available with current endurance racers, makes it a endeavour in utter folly when it comes to safety. If you ameliorate that with cockpit featureby Morbid - F1
