Case in point already emerged while beginning to create a new track. Folder structure is: Builder > melborne2001 > maps > melborne2001 > all the TEX files So using TexResizer, I'm converting the TEX files to TGA, using the 'Convert All Tex To Tga' function. New folder created called 'TGA Files'. Sort of: The folder is visible through TexResizerby neldav03 - Grand Prix 4
For many weeks I've been having varying issues where whenever I save something within GP4 Builder it saves 'locally' (ie - it recognises it is there next time it is loaded) but it does not save with the current time and date within Windows Explorer. Today, I renamed the 'GP4' folder as 'Grand Prix 4'. However, the 'GP4' folder is still showinby neldav03 - Grand Prix 4
Windows 8 64-bit - A lot of horrific flickering as I'm stationary waiting in pitlane but this stops once I leave - small gap at the same bit as SDI above, but the tarmac prior to that was fine. I crashed at that bend, so escaped and reloaded the track. Just about to turn left out of the garage so I could attempt lap number 2, and.... Got some objects into the gp4 now, have a query regarding sloping though. Is it possible for me to have it sloping down (Z axis) from 3.569 at the far end, to 0 nearest to the screen? I can't find a simple method for doing this. I think I could do it through the vertices', but wouldn't I have to do it one by one then?by neldav03 - Grand Prix 4
That solved it, thanks Addie.by neldav03 - Grand Prix 4
Hmmm, even changing that sector to 1 and straight, it crashes... that doesn't look good. :/by neldav03 - Grand Prix 4
Found the sector: No idea what GP4 considers wrong with that sector, I thought the issue may lie elsewhere myself!by neldav03 - Grand Prix 4
Got rid of half the CC line, and it works - so now need to find the exact point its crashing. Thanksby neldav03 - Grand Prix 4
Recreated CC line, still crashing as soon as I click play. I've no idea what's happened, given that I initially didn't change any flags from the file that another member generated for me a few weeks back.by neldav03 - Grand Prix 4
Okay, will recreate the CC line and see what happens.by neldav03 - Grand Prix 4

Could someone identify the 'wrong flag' again for me and correct it? It is definitely the .dat file as the .wad works as intended with the original Monza dat. Have a feeling it is - again - the pit exit, but changing it and it still crashes as soon as you click Play. Any help is appreciated.by neldav03 - Grand Prix 4
I personally would find the tower better as you can then display all 22 cars on there at once during the race.by neldav03 - Grand Prix 4
Thanks - that fixed it. Some obvious problems now I am in game haha, but now I have something to work from.by neldav03 - Grand Prix 4

Hi guys, Am having an issue trying to get my track to work in game. At the moment, as soon as I click 'Play', GP4.exe crashes. I've redone the CC-line as that can be the cause of some problems, but it still crashes. My .dat and .wad files are here if anyone wishes to test it their end or see if they can find anything that I can't: Thanksby neldav03 - Grand Prix 4
Haha, by normal mode I meant clicking on GP4.exe. Just about to install helmets nowby neldav03 - Grand Prix 4
That's fixed it in GPxPatch, so thanks. In normal mode it is still the same as before, but can run it in GPxPatch which is the main thing.by neldav03 - Grand Prix 4
Should be fine to download now.by neldav03 - Grand Prix 4
Ah, okay, will put it on, although will take a few hours to do so! Will be here once it is available to download -by neldav03 - Grand Prix 4

Interesting: - Running GP4 through GPxPatch brings up 2001 cars (which is 21MB) - Running GP4 normally brings up the 'other' cars.wad as I had it before (which is ~780MB) I've uninstalled and reinstalled GP4 and put the original cby neldav03 - Grand Prix 4

I posted this over in the Pirelli thread, but it appears I have a bigger problem: "Hi guys, Got a bit of an issue. Have moved all the files into the cars.wad, yet for some reason the tyres in game are still showing up as Bridgestone. Bit of a bigger problem here actually, will post new thread.by neldav03 - Grand Prix 4

I wonder if anyone here can help me. I'm trying to create a circuit based on a real life track. I'm using videos as well as the official track map. Unfortunately, the official track map did not point out the 'detail' in turn 1 in that it is actually two different turns. I assume the only way that I could change it is to delete sectors and then to change it? I was thinkiby neldav03 - Grand Prix 4
