Speaking of the 1999 mod, has anyone got the high-res updates that I think quickslick made? They used to be available over at dragonracing but it's dead now.by mansell92 - Grand Prix 4
Superb! Fantastic work you guys do.by mansell92 - Grand Prix 4
Looking good - can't wait to see the MP4-16by mansell92 - Grand Prix 4
He also corrects the notion that he hated GPx being modded - to quote, what the community has done "pleases" him. GP5 isn't quite the no-hoper previously imagined by us lot either, although still unlikely.by mansell92 - Grand Prix 4
Right, AI looks awful. That vid posted above where he overtook 2 cars so easily at the triangle chicane at Suzuka (@ 2m15s) makes the AI look like a sick joke. What have I done by pre-orderingby mansell92 - Other Games
I'm starting to get impatient waiting now, lol! All that after saying I didn't really think I'd get it about a year ago. I've slowly been pulled towards it. I just wish we knew a little more about the AI at this stage. Some of the videos show the typical easy to pass, brain dead Artificial Idiot that has been seen in every racing game (with one or two exceptions, e.g. GPby mansell92 - Other Games
GP4 will be just fine. Looking at the vids from F1 2010 the AI looks awful, yet again. Whatever Geoff's team did with the AI in the GPx series they deserve alot of credit because it's by far the best in any racing game I've played.by mansell92 - Grand Prix 4
Thanks for sharing SDG but it didn't solve it on my rig, odd.by mansell92 - Grand Prix 4
Cool, a real GP4 community legend returns! For 2010 and pre-1994 mods, I'd like to see some kind of effective way to prevent refuelling but have the AI change tyres sensibly when they need to. That would complete it for me, to be honest.by mansell92 - Grand Prix 4
Is it not simply just called "Formula One", it looks like the one I had for the PS1 based on the 1995 season.by mansell92 - Grand Prix 4
I'd definitely like to see a cars.wad for this first and foremost.by mansell92 - Grand Prix 4
Yes, congrats Duffer! Amazing how the GPx games community grew up really. Probably the majority of us were kids back in the GP2/GP3 days, now we're marrying off, working (kinda) hard, raising families etc.by mansell92 - Grand Prix 4
The high-res verison was over at motorsportfotos.co.uk but the links have been dead for a while. I wouldn't mind getting hold of it again myself.by mansell92 - Grand Prix 4

Rot Teufel Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > i want a 2001 mod for CSM ;D great shot If only there was a proper 2001 McLaren (re-shaped, not just re-textured) we'd have pretty much everything, I think.by mansell92 - Grand Prix 4
That worked nicely, thanks Glenn. track names now all correct with no crashesby mansell92 - Grand Prix 4
Glenn, Yes, I tried that. I read it over at racesimulations.com (it may well have been you who posted it) but track names in the menu didn't change. Imola still appears as Imola/San Marino etc. I've been using c-magic 4 1.02 for years to extract/insert magic data to track files but have never been able to make that particular aspect work.by mansell92 - Grand Prix 4
Lol, sorry about the super long poste, but that's what it gave me with verbosity set to high!by mansell92 - Grand Prix 4

I have a problem with some of the tracks in the pack, in that they CTD before even the loading screen comes up. This is using TSM. It happens with Shanghai, Bahrain, the Hungaroring and Spa - all the rest are fine. I read in the 2008 TP thread about resetting the magic data to default and trying again but that didn't work. I've also tried all the debug settings with no success.by mansell92 - Grand Prix 4
This is great work, I only just found it - I had taken an extended break from GP4 for a while but I just installed these cars with the 2008 track pack and I'm having alot of fun. Looking forward to future developments!by mansell92 - Grand Prix 4
Would love to see some 2001 cams tooby mansell92 - Grand Prix 4
Thanks guys It looks like I'd be as well to head over to gp4italia when it's fully functional by the looks of it. @vesuvius - where are those cars hosted?by mansell92 - Grand Prix 4
I've searched the forums and found a few results but nost links etc. were dead. I'm looking to piece together a good 2007 cars and anim wad. I made a start with the cars over at gp4db, which are fine, but they don't have them all. I found a decent Williams FW29 at racesimulations.com but I'm struggling to fill the wad with high quality 2007 cars. I took some time out froby mansell92 - Grand Prix 4
We've pretty much got all we need now to piece a good 2001 together ourselves. All we're missing is a high quality McLaren (new shape etc.). Can't wait for that!by mansell92 - Grand Prix 4
