Sorry!!! I should of read the bug list better.by rooikappie - Grand Prix 4
Hi all I've got a red dot appearing on both sides of the Williams front suspension. It appears on the part joining the suspension with the wheel. The red dot only dissapears when the car is very close to the camera. I think this could be the same kind of graphic bug that I see on other cars where some of the black parts (black under tray just before the rear wheels, inner part of the rearby rooikappie - Grand Prix 4
Hi everyone I just want to know whether this update is for the cockpit view only or is it for the external view also. I have installed it...........looks great, but I can only see it in the cockpit view. Did I installed it incorrectly? Please help Thanxby rooikappie - Grand Prix 4
Hi everyone I don't know about you guys, but I'm a bit dissapointed in the way they made the setup files on the CD. You cannot simply copy a file from the CD when you for example edited a *wad file and you want to change it back to the original. Now I have to install it over again, because I didn't make a backup. Maybe this was done to compress the files more in order to fit ontoby rooikappie - Grand Prix 4
maniak You mentioned Radeon's Z technology. I'm sitting with the gfx card and I still don't really know what it does. Do you have any knowledge of the Radeon card technology?by rooikappie - Grand Prix 4
How will we ever know? Here is something to think about: What if you would change Monaco from slot 7 to perhaps slot 1. Do you think the FPS would be the same? Will the AI still drive the same lap times? If they build the tracks in more or less the same way as in GP2 and GP3 then my answer would be "yes" What do you think?by rooikappie - Grand Prix 4
Thank you for all your help. Maybe just one last thing that is very interesting to me and which I don't really understand. Monaco is one of the tracks where I get the best performance. The only conclusion I can make of this is that the crowds take more PO than buildings, because there isn't that much animated crowds in monaco than on other tracks. What do you think?by rooikappie - Grand Prix 4
WOW! What can I say. That's a pretty decent description. I understand it now. I'm definetely going to copy this as a reminder for myself. I'm affraid that my gfx card is pretty average, but hopefully you can perhaps tell me what my best option whould be in setting the graphics in GP4. Here are my PC Specs.............please don't laugh. Intel Pentium III 733mhz ATI Radeonby rooikappie - Grand Prix 4
Thanx. I guess its going to take a huge bite out of my FPS.by rooikappie - Grand Prix 4
Thanks, it seems that you know your stuff. What about the texture sharpness? Can one set that, because when a car drive by, the textures are a bit blurred untill it is really close. The same can be seen when you drive and you look at the walls. There are no smooth transition between the level of blurr effects on the walls. You have definite lines visible of the different sharpness. The pit garagby rooikappie - Grand Prix 4
If they did use GPS and it is as accurate as they say, then I would say that the starting light bridge is at the right spot, but they got it wrong with the texture placement of the grid. I will have to look at my video clips again to confirm that.by rooikappie - Grand Prix 4
Your comment makes a bit more sence than Neil's, because I can't say that I have seen less objects on the track by setting it medium or low. Does the number of poligons stay the same whether you view it from a distance or up close?by rooikappie - Grand Prix 4
Hi everyone Has anyone else noticed that the starting grid begins just under the bridge where the starting lights are situated. This means that if you are at pole, you cannot see the lights. This is totally wrong. The grid is suppose to start a few metres away from the starting lights. Any comments?by rooikappie - Grand Prix 4
Hi everyone I'm not sure whether this has been asked before, but I would like to know what the car & track geometry is in the advanced graphic menu? What are the difference between setting it low, medium or high? Thanxby rooikappie - Grand Prix 4
"João Ginete with bump mapping, my track turns black and it's normal just in front of me!!!" I guess I'm too late, but I do experience that as well. The part just infront of the car is fine, but the part of the track further away are black. This happens in both dry and wet conditions. I hope that by fixing some of the other graphical fixes, this might also be resolved.by rooikappie - Grand Prix 4
Yes, I guess I didn't look good enough if it was written up as a bug. I'll go and look again. Sorry, if I waisted anyone's timeby rooikappie - Grand Prix 4
Hi everyone I experience white flashes/flickers on wet tracks when my reflection settings are set at high. When I set it at low reflection it stops, but I do like the blurry reflection effect. How can I fix this? Thanxby rooikappie - Grand Prix 4
I everyone My ingame video clips (Intro, pole, 1st-2nd-3rd place, Championship win) are choppy at exactly the same place everytime. When playing it through Bink player it is smooth. Bink player doesn't play the sound that comes with it, indicating that the sound/music is a seperate file that is linked with the video. Could this indicate that there is a problem with my sound? But why is itby rooikappie - Grand Prix 4
Hi all You can mark my words: "the video is the Xbox version of GP4" I desperately don't want to believe that, but be honest if you look at when EA brought out the promotional video of F1 2001, it was the PS2 version. On that video you saw things like rain drops on the TV screens; drivers tearing of strips from the visor, reflections on the helmets, team crew showing time boardsby rooikappie - Grand Prix 4
If Geoff is using the telemetry of Arrows and Jaguar then we can expect that all the in-game cars will suffer from huge understeer and a lack in speed and power.......hahahahahaby rooikappie - Grand Prix 4
This is the link to the external views from where I can see the hands:by rooikappie - Grand Prix 3
Hi everyone I was looking at the screenshots from GP4, specifically the cockpit view, and I was wondering where is the hands on the steering wheel. Some of the external shots one can clearly see that there are hands on the steering wheel. Is it possible that only the Xbox version is going to have this? That would be a dissapointment. What do you think?by rooikappie - Grand Prix 3
I everyone I saw that there is a big patch on the NET that will update everything in your GP3 and GP3 2000 game to the 2001 season. It is a 116mb update that contains the following: - All season 2001 tracks (with new graphics, layout, ...) in the correct order - Completely new season 2001 menu background pics - New season 2001 track pics (with more infos about the track) - Pit Communication Souby rooikappie - Grand Prix 3
