yep, the nose of our car could be improoved a little bit, even the sidepods. on cdtp´s r23 the front suspension is wrong, i think the whole car is to high, the sidepods are no so round on the upper side (at the air intakes)and the airscoope and engine cover could be a little wider. greetz schroederby schroeder - Grand Prix 4

puh, it´s hard to explain in just a few words. do you make just the livery or a comlpete new car? on the origin cars the mapping is very strange, so that sometimes more than one area of the texture is responsible for the suspension. if you use the origin one you have to find out all areas, and then fill that areas with the color for suspension. with a new gp4 file you can choose where you neeby schroeder - Grand Prix 4
just select the faces you need, reset the uv-mapping, and then assign it to the area in your map for the suspension-colors, or even to cockpit_damage.tga. thats it. schroederby schroeder - Grand Prix 4

somehow gp4 is able to load some parts from the cahshape for the cockpit-view.i noticed that by editing the cockpitshape. in cockpit-view i saw then parts of the front suspension. and this was different for each team. but gp4 loads only one cockpitshape. this means a command for loading different gp4 files, for each team, is somewhere in gp4.exe, but can it be activated? i asked rené a while befby schroeder - Grand Prix 4
mike means when changing a car, designed for one slot into an other slot, the t-cam position and the helmet position are in their predesigned position, like you can see in the shot. the toyota is designed for prost slot . when you put the toyota into the minardi slot it looks like the second shot. i think the helmet position must be stored in the exe, because if the helmet pos is stored in theby schroeder - Grand Prix 4

i think the lod35.gp4 file in some shapes i a kind of middle thing between lod 3 and 4 (or 2 and 3) i have not really tested it so far. but the thing is that the responsible files are the gp4 files not the tex files. but for the lower lods you must have a tex file that is corrospondent to the higher lods. for the new minardi that means you must have the new tex files in there and you should haveby schroeder - Grand Prix 4
you must also switch the lower lod´s from minardi to prost and vice versa. take the minardi lod´d 3 - 4 out rename them to prost. the same for prost to minardi (toyota). then put back again into cars.wad. probem should be fixed thenby schroeder - Grand Prix 4
well, the new minardi was made to work in the prost slot, in associaton with ricardo lamperts 2002 track udates. none of the 2002 cars (exept the first three) are in the right pit order of 2003. (sorry richard i don´t know if it´s in your cars wad file). but for me i had a look at the track grafix, because it is not very nice to have a minardi in the toyota box or vice versa. so thos shape is madby schroeder - Grand Prix 4
the cockpit i shaped fits pretty good into the carshapes. that means that they are realistic. the thing it the point of the cockpit view. i think it is a bit lower in true, than in the game. if you use lok2´s camera editor you can find the values of the cockpit view. the deafult setting is z=28. i changed it to z=25 to get more inside the car. i think this is more realistic.by schroeder - Grand Prix 4

i just made the jaguar r3 carshape with for ralph hummerichs textures. you can download it. with my cockpitshapes you have to see, i saw witch some new carshapes (jordan and my jaguar)that the front suspension comes thru the nosecone. but i think it´s only with the generic v.2 and the williams cockpt. it´s even shaped for it´s car.by schroeder - Grand Prix 4
the thing in that arrows it: when having an accident, the parts i added in the carshape will fall of and you see them on the track, but only grafially duplicated - not physically(otherwise i´d not released it). and they still stay on the car. only the broken parts (like wing or supension) are missing. thats why i called the version 1.99. the shape - you have to decide, i´m dtill learnig with z-moby schroeder - Grand Prix 4
well, the guy who send the picture was me. as i said before we can use the z_visor in the carshape to get transparent windows for outside- and onboard-camera view, not for cockpit-view. it hasn´t got too many points but it can be scaled and maybe duplicated (which i haven´t tried)by schroeder - Grand Prix 4
btw: z-modeler is a tool to build and rebuild carshapes and cockpitshapes (with all it´s limitations) . it is only said by oleg: "ZModeler is not a GP4 editor!" we are editing car- and cockpitshapes and i think dashes could be edited to.by schroeder - Grand Prix 4
it does not work ! the z-visor in cockpitview appears grey. but ellis maybe you can stretch the z-visor for the onboard-cameras and the viewing-mode to get transparent windows for your itc-cars. or you already did that?by schroeder - Grand Prix 4

i don´t really understand what you are talking about ?! i thought the questions was the transpiracy in the visors, to get it into a windscreen or something like that. nuno says it is working with that new helmet tga´s. i´ve tested it now with that new raikkonnen visor and it is not working in the f1 cockpit at that little windscreen you can see. it appears white in the game, only white. we can´tby schroeder - Grand Prix 4
cockpit edting is possible, even for your itc car or other sports cars. it will be much work to get everything like you want to have, but will be great then. one thing that is not easy is to get a transparent windscreen, i tried this for the f1 cockpits with not very good results. if someone knows anything about this please let me know. the layout for the wheel is in that three *.gp4 files in tby schroeder - Grand Prix 4
