GP3 or GP4 ? You're in the GP4 section. GP3 doesn't handle 16/10 or 16/9 ratios, only 4/3 and 5/4. The max resolution is 1280x1024.by zifox - Grand Prix 4
Hi everyone, I've been looking for a particular model of 3D wheels since I saw some of the screenshots posted by Isaint. It's the model in this picture: Does anyone have a link to this wheel model ? Thanksby zifox - Grand Prix 4
I've updated the archive on mediafire to fix the pit lane. I haven't had time yet to edit the graphics bits.by zifox - Grand Prix 4
Again gorgeous shots... compared to the ones I posted you wonder if it's the same game !by zifox - Grand Prix 4

A few shots from my last race: 1- I believe I can Fly. Until I lend. ^^ 2- No, I'm not holding them back ! 3- Traffic jam at the last chicane. 4- Losing control while streamlining. Should have know better 5- I can do it ! 6- Or not. Another 360 after licking the interior curb.by zifox - Grand Prix 4

Hi, Since i'm playing GP4 again this year I noticed that, despite having the game on a SSD, loading times were quite bad, and apparently it has nothing to do with the disk speed: for the first half (loading cars) my drive LED flashes from time to time, each time the loading bar progresses. I suppose one step corresponds to one car being loaded. I was thinking that maybe the computer wasby zifox - Grand Prix 4
I'm amazed by the quality of your screenshots.by zifox - Grand Prix 4
A few shots from my last race in Canada: Coulthard nudging his teammate and sending him into the guardrail. Soooo cliché... Ok, so it there anything than doing a 360 on a kerb 3 laps from the end ? Definitely no. Gorgeous sight. Thanks to gap177 for this track, it looks really nice.by zifox - Grand Prix 4

It's quite strange, because I don't have difference in PO whatever CPU option I choose, and I have a Ryzen5 3600. It's stable around 30% @60fps. (and almost all options to the max) Can you track the CPU frequency ? Maybe the CPU doesn't realize that a game is running and isn't "revving up" ? (open Radeon drivers and go into Performance pane, under the CPU usby zifox - Grand Prix 4
I discovered recently the "text logging" option in GPxLap, i tried it to see which kind of output it gives, and that left me wondering if there was somewhere an application to could display the information in a user friendly manner ? I tried opening the file using f1lapview, but it says the log file is invalid.by zifox - Grand Prix 4

I've updated the 2006 pack with a new version of the midland cockpit, based on the livery used in 2006 before spyker bought it, so grey/white/red. I couldn't place the "superfund" logo correctly, as the cockpit shape has specific texture coordinates on the edge of the nose to allow the easy creation of a thin line: no logo can be displayed on the edge.by zifox - Grand Prix 4
Indeed. I made this cockpit texture set to match a 2006 carset i made before... and the spyker is indeed from 2007, not 2006, apparently it had some white in 2006. I didn't realize it wasn't the correct year. I guess i mixed up their debut year and the first full season they made. I'll fix this.by zifox - Grand Prix 4
A message from gap177 made me realize I messed up when doing the archives: both were missing the cockpit side textures and the 2001 pack had a texture backward. (McLaren) I fixed both issues and updated the archives.by zifox - Grand Prix 4
Nope, couldn't solve that issue, my last chance is to install GP4Builder on a laptop with an intel GPU.by zifox - Grand Prix 4
I'm digging this thread up to ask a question about Monaco. I'm currently doing a "stock" season, meaning default physics / performances, and I'm quite puzzled: In the previous race I had no real issue customizing the setup, but here in Monaco I cannot find a better setup than the stock one. I'm able to do low 1.16s (around 1.16.2-1.16.3) quite regularly, and everyby zifox - Grand Prix 4
Indeed you don't have to calibrate everytime, it's a bug of the game which does not store the fact that it did the calibration already. Simply say no. Regarding the resolution choice, i don't get it: the game does not save the one you have set before ? (note: the menu has a fixed resolution.)by zifox - Grand Prix 3
A selection of screenshot from my ongoing 2001 season. Huge kisses to Heikki for his awesome carset and track updates for Imola and A1Ring. (other tracks are 2006 to 2008 version dled from gp4db) Overtaking an AI car on the outside because it's ignoring blue flags ? Sure ! Rain at Sepang ? What else ? Three cars. One corner. Who's going to pass first ? Hint: it's bettby zifox - Grand Prix 4
I have an issue with GP4Builder, I have an error message coming from the GPU driver, saying there's an invalid access in memory, and I have a blank display. Every time the application draws something, I get the message twice. It seems to happen only with textures: I could load the .dat only to fix the pitlane, but I can't open the GP4 file. Any clue how to fix this ? I tried updatingby zifox - Grand Prix 4
After a few others tests, it's clear: I can't manage more than 5 laps without a crash... unless I play with gpxpatch. That's so weird. And I think I managed to understand why replays are corrupted. I get no corruption if I watch a replay which is written in memory while I play (ie not loaded from a file), replays get corrupted when saving/loading only. I suspect that some floby zifox - Grand Prix 4
I've modified the CC values for the pit lane in the dat file, which were incorrect. I've spotted a few things I want to correct also, I'll do another release soon.by zifox - Grand Prix 4
Thanks for the feedback. Your car can't enter the pits, or AI cars can't ? edit: I think i got it. The ai cars are going wide and going on the grass. I'll see if i can correct this.by zifox - Grand Prix 4
Ok so I restarted the race, with gpxpatch this time. Had a few crashes mi-race though. The replay is corrupted at lap 2, which coincides roughly with the moment the game crashed when I tried to race without gpxpatch. I'm wondering if gpxpatch might to able to catch/prevent crashes, but in these case the replay would get corrupt ? Is it possible ? Could the exception handling in gpxpatch dby zifox - Grand Prix 4

More tests => even more questions. I have two versions of the EXE: - one pristine (debug version 1.02) - one modified (debug version with altered cameras & wheel & helmet positions. No modified in performances/names) Obviously, i'd like to run the game with at least correct helmet positions. So first thing to check, running without gpxpatch. Ok, as I thought. Thanks for the info.by zifox - Grand Prix 4
I'd do as Duffer suggests. I've always had a lot of issues with wadupdater and easywad (wrongs paths, several copies of the same file, that sort of thing), maybe because i never understood what they're supposed to do, while WadController works as I think it does. A global advice when working on tracks / cars: always rebuild the wad from scratch for a folder on your drive. Itby zifox - Grand Prix 4
