Ferrari Fuhrer, Can I ask how old you are? And if you realise that the changes made to monetary policy after the withdrawal from the ERM has produced your perceived economic well being, changes that Mr Brown has continued with? And is the LP paying you to advertise for them? Do you work for them in some way? If you do, I have a list of problems I'd like you take up with Mr Blair onby Timm - Grand Prix 4
Well, I have a Duron 1600 overclocked to 1944 ghz on a Gigabyte GA748-s mobo which is certainly not the worlds greatest overclocking board. All I had to do was up the FSB from 133 to 162 in the BIOS with PC2700 (166/333) Ram and a stock H/S and fan, which has a bit of Arctic silver on it I have also upped my voltage by 10% in the BIOS. I'm a bit disappointed though as I can'by Timm - Off-Topic
Cheers Qwerty, I'll give that a go. Oh, and Harjinator, I think you missed the point, but maybe my original question was a bit ambiguous. Hits wall = loses wheels. Logical I suppose Cheers anywayby Timm - Grand Prix 3
please? I shall be having a fiddle tonightso some advice would be handy before I screw up the rest of the gameby Timm - Grand Prix 3
Long time no see guys. I haven't raced for a while as I got bored with GP4 but my son has F104 on his PS2 and has been a bit lairy about the fact that he can play new tracks and I can't. So I stuck GP3-2000 on , got some updated tracks and installed the GP32004 IG update and chose the set in GPxPatch as you do. Went to bahrain, track was great, car was great or so I thought untby Timm - Grand Prix 3
Is anyone going to mention to Dada about Celeron performance? Or is this not now an issue with the new 300 series ones?by Timm - Grand Prix 3
God I wish we had decent tarmac, those screenshots would look a whole lot better with the tarmac from say F1C or an EA gameby Timm - Grand Prix 4
Brand new and updated uncluding Current DX9 cards plus some old favourites, like my GeForce4 Ti4200by Timm - Grand Prix 4
Yep, I vote for Ti4200 as you can pick em up for £60 if you know where to look. Only the 9500 pro and above is better according to many comparisons I've seen and thats about £100by Timm - Grand Prix 4
Requirements for Me are something like a P2 - 300 class cpu and 64mb Ram with about 500mb disk space I think Something close to that.by Timm - Grand Prix 4
Can someone please send me a new Lamborghini? I'm not very good with money Please send some fuel and road tax as well. PLEASE HELP!by Timm - Grand Prix 4
What on earth are you talking about? Please supply facts to back up your inane drivel. Microsoft may be a Corporate Dracula but the Sidewinder wheel i use has never given me any trouble at all, unlike the Ferrari Modena 360 I had previously which had the quality of a blue peter dolls house, complete with sticky backed plastic If you must slag of MS, fine, I'll probably join you but pleaseby Timm - Grand Prix 4
Perfection as ever L02k Keep plugging away won't youby Timm - Grand Prix 4
Ermm, Sorry, but I actually think the warm one is the best. Any chance of having that one?by Timm - Grand Prix 4
Have you installed the official patch? Oh, and upgrade your nVidia drivers to 52:16 and maybe Direct X 9 as wellby Timm - Grand Prix 4
I've stuck XP on my son's K62-450 with 160mb of crap ram and a GF2 mx and it installs and runs fine, if a bit jerky.by Timm - Grand Prix 3
Damn my memory. Chaps, gonna install GP3 on my son's PC which is K6-2 450, XP, GF2 mx, 160mb Ram. Question is, I think it will be severely lacking in the performance stakes so is there a config file, similar to Major Toms on GP4 that I can use? If not, can anyone recommend any good tips to increase performance without dropping off the visual quality too much? I'm sure I knew this onby Timm - Grand Prix 3
LS wins again!!!!! Actually, I have to say that my favourite is the rainy Monaco one from Krazy Boris! Bloody good work mate. Looks like LS has competition at last (no offence to all the others, they're all of a high standard)by Timm - Grand Prix 4
I too would love to help out in some way, but no nothing about changing values etc etc. Maybe we could have an example, like the program to use, how to use it, what to look at, how to change a value then how to check any changes when values are changed as a quick guide. After that, once we have some idea of what we're doing, us novices can chip in and help. Lo2k - If i could pay you fullby Timm - Grand Prix 4
Totally agree with Ellis. My Ti4200 copes happily with everything, Halo, BF GP4 etc etc. Also had an MX before which was excellent for the price. In my view, after a bit of tweaking, GP4 runs pretty good on fairly low specs but you must try to match the processor with the vid card. I mean, A celeron 500 with a Radeon Pro 9800 wouldn't necessarily get you good frame rates whereas an XP200by Timm - Grand Prix 4
Fosters? Bloody hell, don't they have that in Italy then? )by Timm - Grand Prix 4
A Celeron 1.7 is about as fast as an AMD k6-200 I reckon, P.O.S However, the Celeron should be OK coz I run GP4 fine with my Duron 1ghz. It's gotta be some conflict somewhere. WHat about a re-install of GP4?by Timm - Grand Prix 4
I still can't see it. What am I looking at? It's not the way the kerb on the left cuts off is it?by Timm - Grand Prix 4
We've had the odd big girls blouse around here thoughby Timm - Grand Prix 4
I'm using 52.16 Det's with my 128mb GF4 Ti4200 but I haven't benched them at all. Subjectively it appears to be pretty good, certainly as good as if not better (faster) than the the 45.23 i was using.by Timm - Grand Prix 4
I reckon it's the Hardware acceleration. I have to use no acceleration on my Muse soundcard but if I take it out and use my onboard sound on my K7S5A, I turn it on full again and GP4 is just fineby Timm - Grand Prix 4
