Hello, I have Grand prix 4 with the 2007 mod, but get 200+ occupancy on some tracks (all setings high). However on the "non modded tracks/cars" it runs very well with low CPU occupancy (50-70), along with my GFX card. My GFX card is a X850 ATI, and my CPU is a Athlon FX-55. (2.6Ghz) I don't want to have to upgrade my CPU (its on socket 939, so there are few options)but can upby Tony - Grand Prix 4

Hello, What are the procedures of connecting a playstation 3 to a pc & monitor (my monitor is a Samsung 226BW, 22" widescreen @ 1680x1050 Resolution). What connection cable(s) would I need?, and would the ps3 display correctly - on my monitor - and resolution?. Also, what about sound?, would i connect the ps3 to the pc speakers via audio cables that come with the ps3, or maybeby Tony - Other Games

GP3 Manual is good reference for GP4 - quite useful... GP4 OT: would an ATI X1900-XTX make an improvement to this game? - or have I already got what's needed to max this game out on high AA/AF?? Hello, I'm Using Enzojz Carset 2003. and superb it is. However, I can't seem to be able to turn the Visa off in cockput view - even if it's disabled in the GFX - anyone help me on this one? - because when the Visa's get dirty - I can't see much when in qualify mode (viewing other cars) I'm assuming this has to be done (perhaps) in the CFG file or something Tby Tony - Grand Prix 4

AMD for games Had a Pentium 4 2.66 for two years, and now have an FX55, with Radeon X850XT. Can't compare an INTEL 2.66 to an Athlon FX55, but you can't compare any Intel CPU to an Athlon FX55 - they go like fire. Tests, and benches say an Athlon FX55 is faster than an Intel 4.8 GIG, and only a 5.2Ghz overclocked watercooled etc was able to beat the Athlon FX55 in games. As fby Tony - Off-Topic
Thanks Will, downloaded it, and remeber it somewhat now. However, when I set the cars to "0" they (the deleted cars) are still in the game. Still working on it mind, thanks EDIT: SORTED it Now I forgot to set the CarsEnabler = 1 ; enable/disable car removal tweak (it was on "0", this in the GP4 Tweaker (2KB) the other is the GP4Tweak_Data (20 KB) which are in the Granby Tony - Grand Prix 4

Hello, I downloaded Enzojz carset yesterday, and very good they are. However, what I have, is 22 cars - thats ok, but I have 3 Jaguars and 3 BAR's. How would I go about removing 1 of each car? - so as to have 20 cars (2 jags 2 bar's etc?) I did download a utility a long while back that enabled you to do this, but can't remember what it was. Not read all the posts so sorry if it's already been said, but I wonder if there will be a PC equivalent of the game? I mean, GP4 is good, but getting on a bit now it has to be said - and by then (when the PS3 ccomes out) there will be GFX cards that double the speed of that of mine - and I've got a Radeon ATI X850XT - coupled with a FX55 CPU (Eats GP4 - and like sorta reasy for the nby Tony - Other Games
I sold my Brother my "old" Pentium 4 2.66/with Radeon 9000, and it got 32 FPS with mirrors on (sub 100 PO) and 40 FPS with mirrors off (sub 100 PO) I have a very old Packard Bell At the moment (Pentium 300, 48 MB Ram - 8 MB GFX (onboard) to tide me over till my new system comes next Friday (according to Evesham computers) It will be a Athlon FX-55 with a Radeon 850XT 256 MB Card, 1by Tony - Grand Prix 4

Hello, I'm ordering a PC tomorrow form Evesham (probably) and it is called the "DECIMATOR" INTEL and comes with an Intel 3.8 Processor. On the other hand, there is a Decimator with an AMD processor AMD Both are very powerful PC's, and seem to offer the same features apart from the processor. You can always use this as a guide to FPS on which processor you use: >>>>>>>Aces Hardware<<<<<<< Certainly would like to know if the FX55's performance of 54 Frames per second (FPS) includes the "Environment Maps with Dynamic setting to ON - and at what Processor occupancy (PO) it will be at on 7th grid (say). Hello, You know the Hardware acceleration that you can turn down to increase frame rate etc, well, I've just found out that it sets itself back up to maximum when I exit the game. I think there was a topic/solution for this, and as to what I can do to get it right, not sure though. TIA WinXP SP2, P4 2.66 Tonyby Tony - Grand Prix 4
The Mirror is a huge PO hit IMO, a bit like the environment mapping. What I do, is use the arcade overlay to be seen only (bottum left), and deselect the mirrors altogether, I have a CFG file for this if interested. I'm fussy with anything like this, as I like racing, so I wouldn't have took the mirrors away if it was going to hamper me in any big way. with some practice, you can gaugeby Tony - Grand Prix 4
I think the "PC" at 1280 with the Radeon 9200 GFX card will be really tested at high resolution, especially if you have AA/AF on. I have a Radeon 9000/2.66 Ghz CPU, and runs fine with AA/AF off - if I even touch these though, the game goes from 70 P/O to 150 P/O without asking questions! although GP4 is a CPU game, it will hack a bit if running AA/AF on with a Radeon 9200.by Tony - Grand Prix 4
Well, I've been enquiring about CRT's since, and was interested in the "IIyama Vision Master Pro 454 19" CRT DiamondTron Monitor" - but have since learned that lots of these have been returned/replaced etc. I "WANT" a TFT - but not at the expense of real quality. Wasn't aware that refresh rates limit FPS or something like that. Does that mean that i willby Tony - Grand Prix 4
Thanks all for replies, I will be going CRT now I think - the resolutions they take are one major advantage, because in a year or two from now, GFX cards will be able to play (say) DOOM III at 1600 res with plenty to spare, while the 1280 limited res on a TFT will leave you "wanting". as for processors, of all the PC's I've had, Intel have been on everyone of them.
