Thank you! I will try this. The thing is, my anti-virus software didn't detect it initially - it just blocked the attempts of the software to open malicious websites without permission. I will, safely, try it via your link. Thank you!by NicoMinardi - Grand Prix 4
Just sharing this in case it helps others, since I had to deal with some issues for several hours over the past week, that I ultimately found out, were based on downloading GP4 mods carelessly, trusting that freeware that is used by many for a very old game, would be safe, since they are established in the community. I've been setting up GP4 and going through all the motions to get it corby NicoMinardi - Grand Prix 4
Thank you so much for taking the time to reply fongu, now that's what I call a good tutorial Thank you again and for your website, I've visited it often the past couple of weeks! I really appreciate it.by NicoMinardi - Grand Prix 4
Could you be so kind to describe the steps to make a custom helmet? I have a template downloaded, but I find no explanation as to how to preview the helmet and put it in the game?by NicoMinardi - Grand Prix 4
Can you share how to make a custom helmet? I am searching and searching but can't find anything. I work with Photoshop daily, so I am only looking to understand what file to edit/how/as what to save and where.by NicoMinardi - Grand Prix 4
I am very curious about this tooby NicoMinardi - Grand Prix 4
Landex, I solved it! I dont know for sure what did the trick though. I am commenting in case it helps others in the future. 1.) I had a mod folder in my GP4 directory, which also held all performance files. But the CSM mod pointed to the performance files in GPX folder. I changed it to the mod folder. 2.) I downloaded the performance update for the 1991 mod by Rot Teufel. Which one of thby NicoMinardi - Grand Prix 4
Interestingly enough, I just tried Brazil (2nd race of 1991) and despite the fact that I know the track very well, I end up exactly where I should be there with the Minardi. Car slides a lot more and has less power compared to other cars. I dont understand why its ignored at the PHOENIX race and why I cant fix it? In Phoenix my car is glued to the ground and too powerful.by NicoMinardi - Grand Prix 4
I tried everything you said. Only the fixed dats are loading - on paper everything is right - except that I am driving a Minardi 2 seconds faster than Senna in the McLaren. The dat above was supposed to weaken the players car and give it less grip. There is nothing like that. My grip is exactly the same as before and my top speed is the same as the McLarens top speed too... I loved this game,by NicoMinardi - Grand Prix 4
Honestly, nothing I try works. I wonder why it worked for the 2 people above and what they did exactly to make it work since they seemed to have my exact issue?by NicoMinardi - Grand Prix 4
I tried a few more hours today, reinstalling everything. Then I tried what you suggested, I placed the .wad and .dat manually (overwritting the first Grand Prix, the Australian one). Now GP4 doesn't get to the menu, its just black.by NicoMinardi - Grand Prix 4

Hey Landex. I don't understand. Without CSM I won't have the right cars/names etc. no? If I manually place the track in the GP4 Circuits folder and starby NicoMinardi - Grand Prix 4
Thank you for your time! I use CSM / TSM. In the "Tracks" folder I have a "1991 Phoenix" folder. In that folder is a settings.ini. The line says "Dat=S1CTPhoenix.dat". I downloaded the "fixed" dat file above and renamed it "S1CTPhoenix.dat" and put it in the same folder as the settings.ini (within 1991 Phoenix). I am at a loss of what else to tby NicoMinardi - Grand Prix 4
I would really appreciate if someone could help me - I have a 100% Ace YouTube series planned and can't go ahead with it like thisby NicoMinardi - Grand Prix 4
I've been trying to fix this issue for my entire Saturday yesterday :-/ I am doing 19's with the Minardi - several seconds faster than the fastest AI... And no matter where I place the DAT above, it has no effect. I drove the Ferrari to check out if there is a difference, but it appears to be the exact same car, grip, power... Can anyone help? Where did you put that DAT file to make itby NicoMinardi - Grand Prix 4
