hi mate that's it and thanks a lotby xandy - Grand Prix 4
after all the years - and i can still post here. Very nice - thank you. Has someone still stored the things (motor- and techhomes) in any way - and can YOU do me an upload of 'Paddock 2015 pt2'? very very please and thanks in advanceby xandy - Grand Prix 4
<lurk mode off> yeah - GP4Builder for sure there were many month with GP4Builder the most used program on my trusted - now long dead - windows desktop rig fun time spent playing GP4 vs fun time spent tinkering around with GP4Builder - overall that's a close call in my case so what can I say? dear Lo2k - thank you for your tools, for great tracks, for... and a very big thanks forby xandy - Grand Prix 4
Paddock 2015 Part 2 of the collection with objects for Force India (motorhome, trailer), Lotus (motorhome, techhome, trailer), Sauber (motorhome, trailer) and Manor (motorhome, trailer). Download: And check out the amazing Red Bull Ring by RSCT, it has a very detailed model of the Lotus motorhome.by xandy - Grand Prix 4
Nothing professional about that - but I use GP4Builder for shaping buildings. Combined with a spreadsheet program for geometric and mapping calculations and GIMP for painting it works quite well. Some time ago I've tried the free version (I don't know if there is still one) of ZModeler and wasn't impressed. In the end you have to check welding, normals, face orientation etc after eby xandy - Grand Prix 4
Sitrep on the Paddock 2015 collection. Objects for two of the four remaining teams are done: So - it's Manor and Sauber to go for the 2nd part of the collection. This will take me the best part of a month at least ... stay tuned but don't hold your breathby xandy - Grand Prix 4

feedback: love the track - and even my really low-spec rig likes it without excessive PO (that was a surprise) all the "furniture" adds something for sure now for critism: imho the tyrewall-objects in scene 4 could benefit from a re-calculation of normals - but beware of the endplates (that's the part with the four faces): this may need a splitting in 2 parts and an "by xandy - Grand Prix 4

"Tech"homes for GP4 ... .. and less than 300 faces in this pic:by xandy - Grand Prix 4
Looking good - thank you! Alas - the models are too large imho. I've checked the regulations (for Germany, but with EC this should be valid for all European races). For semi-trailer (truck and trailer) there are: - max width 2.55 m (mirrors are not included) - max height 4 m - max length 16.5 m - max length of trailer (this can be reasoned from some regulations for the size of the driveby xandy - Grand Prix 4
FOM Motorhome 2015 (trailer with extension) - 42 faces shape (trailer can be used stand-alone) - 1024x2048 tga/tex Download: That's Bernie's pile, and for now the last of these single shape uploads. I'm playing around with all the shapes/textures, and with some new ones. So there could be - perhaps should be - a collection of 2015 motorhomes/trailers ready for sharingby xandy - Grand Prix 4

Thank you for all the kind words. Now for the project code-named "gezere can't wait". A 250 faces shape - some painting to do: Codename updated to "gezere must wait" Btw: saw the Lotus one - looks good.by xandy - Grand Prix 4

Like your style. That looks good. Here is a link for a series of pics from the 2015 Barcelona paddock: Mercedes does use a new paint-job this year. As already mentioned I think the trucks in your pic are oversized (too large). Trucks shouldn't be wider than 2.55m and overall not higher than 4m. For completing the set. I'm now updating the FIA motorhome with some new features. Tby xandy - Grand Prix 4
OMG - and me fool always using the context popup menu! Please don't tell me that this feature is there since version 1.x. And yes, manual reading helps, I know. Thank you auscain (anyway)by xandy - Grand Prix 4
Still discovering/admiring all the fixes/features of the new version. One thing I miss though: is there an easy way to "mirror" parts/objects relative to (one of) their own axis or relative to global axis. Thank you.by xandy - Grand Prix 4
@neilcaine new upload for you at userscloud, links die fast though: - package by quickslick: - McLaren Honda 2015: Now that I've started again, another one bites the dust: Williams Martini Motorhome (2014/2015) - 282 faces - 1024x2048 tga/tex (semi-transparency required) Download - - As always the rear of the building is more or less fictionally shaped and painted,by xandy - Grand Prix 4
This one is especially for quickslick - thank you for looking after all the gp4 files! Yeah, I did a handful of motorhomes - what you may call the primary team motorhomes (big, custom-build things) - a few years ago. I don't have the shape/textures files any more, but you can find some of them in the Jerez track at gp4central (with low-res textures though). With hindsight I would say that the models aren't bad, but they aren't that good either. Example: I got the &quby xandy - Grand Prix 4
thank you - great stuff love the fences and rails @quickslick A little edit of the fiorano2015.ini should do the trick. Have you checked the creation/direction of the offending faces or tried to use "two-sided" for the parts? Fully transparent textures (FTT) mess up the z-order calculation of the GP4 engine. Afaik the visible ingame effects of this bug can only be "minimized" but not avoided. Every object with FTT (or any part of the object with FTT) may pop up in front of any object with FTby xandy - Grand Prix 4
Is it possible to have (with tsm/csm-gpxpatch-tweaker) track-specific FPS? For now I use csm's swap.ini do swap different "f1gstate.sav" per track. Perhaps there is a more elegant, easier to maintain solution. Thanks.by xandy - Grand Prix 4
