I had a similar problem with the same building. You need to have all objects separated. I made the windows transparent, but they were grouped with the building, which also became transparent, so as you did, I separated them into individual objects, but the building was still transparent. It stayed transparent until I broke it down into individual objects. I use 3ds Max for modeling and export tby spoodge - Grand Prix 4
AFAIK the developers don't intend it to be moddable, whether that stops a community developing there own version remain to be seen. Codemasters plan to release a game every year, so you can understand why they don't want it "open source". I'm looking for good hq videos of the yas marina circuit, mainly the aerial shots of the track. There are some short clips of the yacht club & hotel in the video's at formula1.com, but I would love to get my hands on some extended helicopter fly overs of the track. Here you go guys... a little effect i came up whilst making the hotel for f1v... sort of a faux transparent effect... I was watching the Science Channel's Build it Big Abu Dhabi last night, and noticed the polkadot frit pattern on the glass. From a distance it has a shading / frosting effect on the glass. It's pretty easy to make your own, export the tracks dat as 3ds, open it in your 3d editor of choice, delete everything but the track and pitlane, assign white material, switch to top view, render, convert to gpi. I haven't done this for a while but i'm sure you have to adjust the ratio of the gpi otherwise it looks stretched.by spoodge - Grand Prix 4

I'm playing with the crowd textures but can't get them animating in game , here's what I do. Import object into GP4 Builder, assign "atx_flag_eng_1.tex" Change Object Properties to CROWD, save and compile wad. Game settings, all overlays on. Well I'm still trying to work out a decent work flow between 3ds max and builder (still very experimental) In builder, I'm using the "Fence Tool" and "Add Track From Dat" tools. I'm creating a new scene for each element, ie: scene1 = track, scene2 = white lines, scene3 = verges....etc, then I export each scene to 3ds, then import into Max (I use a mass imporby spoodge - Grand Prix 4
What is the easiest/quickest way to clean up unwanted materials from my track? Somewhere down the line I imported a 3ds file with 248 pieces of verge, now i have 248 instances of the same material, deleting them one by one will take forever, because it refreshes the textures every time I delete one.by spoodge - Grand Prix 4
