fongu Schreef: ------------------------------------------------------- > reinstall GP4 Yes, that helped, although in the beginning I had partially white cars and strangely the Ferraris were all white outside the cockpit. Then I used this thread to fix that with some patches, so I guess it's alright now. Thanks for the help though!by djvero - Grand Prix 4
White Falcon Schreef: ------------------------------------------------------- > Set the resolution. I still have the 1994 cars when I set the resolution. I want them gone and the old vanilla cars back. How do I do that?by djvero - Grand Prix 4
I tried installing mods after a long time again. Many years ago I messed up as well, so I kinda gave up on it. This time I installed the 1994 MOD, but after that I keep getting white cars. Even moreso, I dunno how to get back to the original version anymore, since I still see the 1994 cars every time I start the game, even after de-installing Zaz tools, GPxPatch etc. To complicate things more,by djvero - Grand Prix 4
Na, that doesn't work. It actually makes it worse coz I can't even see my lap times then anymore. But whatever, I'll just give up. Thanks to both of you for tryingby djvero - Grand Prix 4
Because when I do so the game crashes to windows, gives me the message "generic application error. Enable debug output for detailed information. This sample will now exit" and then the game won't start anymore, unless I change the cfg-file again...by djvero - Grand Prix 4
No one else here to help me out with the problem in the pic below??? Again, with the cockpit view there's nothing wrong (in-game), it's just that I can't see when to go to the pit for example (the screen needs to be "lifted" up so to speak and I don't know how to do that)... Help would be much appreciated!!by djvero - Grand Prix 4
And do you also happen to know how to change the resolution size in the graphics.cfg file, or do you have to do that in-game? Or does anyone else here know what to do??by djvero - Grand Prix 4
Yes, thank you! It seems to work again, however, I still have 3 small issues, which you can find in the pictures below. I hope you can help with these problems as well. I. Here you see the names a bit off, it doesn't match with the correct lines. II. In-game there's nothing wrong with the cockpit information, so don't mind that (it's just that Print Screen went wby djvero - Grand Prix 4
Hello About a month ago I was still able to play GP4 (and have been able to play for years), without GpXpatch or Zaz tools or whatever. Now that I'm back from my vacation it doesn't load the game anymore because it says "generic application error, enable debug output for more information". I don't know what this means but I figured maybe if I install GpXpatch and Zaz tby djvero - Grand Prix 4
No, it's not, but it doen't happen that much anymore when no background programs are runningby djvero - Grand Prix 4
Well, I have zero knowledge about GpXpatch and mods etc. So I must've done something wrong back in the day, but because I have no knowledge about it I dunno what happens when I change settings. Next to that I always end up messing my games when using mods somehow (I have it with other games as well sometimes). For instance, I had the 2006 mod one day and sometimes (for example in Bahrain) whby djvero - Grand Prix 4
I see, well, I'll try the compatability mode you suggested. If that doesn't fix the problem I guess I'll have to work with GpxPatch again...by djvero - Grand Prix 4
Is it possible not to work with gpx_patch? Because I'd really like to avoid using that program for various reasons. If not, then I guess I'll do what you say.by djvero - Grand Prix 4
Hello fellow forum members! I just recently bought a second hand version of GP4 as my first version was destroyed. I de-installed EVERYTHING because I just wanted to have the original set-up again, so no mods or anything for me anymore as it f*cked up my original game. However, now that I have GP4 installed again (on a different hard-disk as well btw!) it crashes to Windows too often, but I doby djvero - Grand Prix 4
Hmm...ok thanks for looking. Do you mean by a full re-install the game as well as CSM, or just the game? And how can I save my save-games then, as well as all the other settings?by djvero - Grand Prix 4
Yea, it's way too big. It would mess up your screen lol, anyway here's the download-link --> I hope this worksby djvero - Grand Prix 4
OK so, here it is. Currently I'm playing the 2005 mod from gp4db.com but I have a problem with that one. A while ago I was racing in Bahrain and there was this error that kept popping up everytime I pressed the Esc button on my keyboard. I just thought "ah, forget about it, I'll go on to the next race", but now I have the same problem on the Nurburgring... Everytime I getby djvero - Grand Prix 4
Yes, it works now thanks. Now my problem is that I have only white cars (except for the Williams' and the Ferraris I believe, all the other cars are white). I've looked it up on this forum and I found a couple of things that I had to change, which I've done so already. Such as: in-game graphics to high and the main gpx_patch tab verbosity to high and enable logging. What elsby djvero - Grand Prix 4
Okay, here it is. I've just installed the mod as written in the readme file, however, I have a problem. Once I've clicked to start CSM, it says this message: You most likely copied a .csm file to use as a base for another subset or even another mod. That's ok, but you'll need to erase the UID key from the newer .csm file to force CSM to generate a new one. The files areby djvero - Grand Prix 4
I had exactly the same problem and mine wasn't fixed in the end. Try the MP2004 mod (from GP4Italia), coz that one does work. The only problem there was when playing a championship it didn't have any of the new tracks (Bahrein for instance) + the total amount of laps was set as in the original game (so for instance, Brazil: the last track in the TSM, had 53 laps because that was the amoby djvero - Grand Prix 4
OK, thanks for looking in the first place, I appreciate that. No, once I'm in the loading screen (with that bar in the bottom of the screen) it crashes, so I don't even get to see the track. Plus it happens with every single track, so it's not track related I guess. Probably it's indeed the mod itself because I've already installed another 2004 mod (the one from gp4itaby djvero - Grand Prix 4
OK, here is my problem. Lately I have started to play the available mods that can be found on the internet. However, after I had finished the 2003 mod I started to play the 2004 mod (to be more exact: gp4.gamer.nl 2004 season set), but as you may expect it doesn't work Well, the game itself works, I can see the starting menu and everything, but once it's loading a track - no matterby djvero - Grand Prix 4
