Looking forward to this, it sounds very interesting, i'm sure the drivers will cope just fine. Everyone thought Singapore would be an issue last year and it was fine.by JonVic - F1
1991 for me, the first season i ever watched and still my favourite. The cars just looked so much nicer than today, that Williams FW14 was a thing of beauty, both in shape and livery.by JonVic - F1
I think to compare Senna's actions and Schumachers is wrong. Schumacher would cheat given half the chance in any given situation. Did you ever see Senna disqualified from an entire World Championship? We had these cheating incidents time and time again from Schumacher (i will never forgive him for what he did in 1994 to Damon Hill) but Senna WANTED to race fairly but was put in a positioby JonVic - F1
I really hope this is the end for Raikkonen and we finally see how off the pace he really is.by JonVic - F1
I have never seen what all the fuss was about with Raikkonen. The guy has not been anything special in my opinion and generally his attitude sucks. He is rude and unhelpful to people and thinks he has a right to behave as he sees fit.by JonVic - F1
That is going to be a hell of a scar! Still it will remind him every day what a lucky guy he is, he cheated death by a whisker!by JonVic - F1
What happened to this then? The car never ran in this livery! What a shame the pics looked beautiful.....by JonVic - F1
Schumacher will race in Valencia i am sure of it. It is natural for him to have these issues especially in light of his injuries. He will be on the grid in Spain you wait and see!by JonVic - F1
They just don't make cars that look this good anymore. Only car i prefer to this from the early 90's was the FW14B - that car was just great in every way - performance, shape and livery plus Mansell's helmet just topped it off a treat!by JonVic - F1
Great news really looking forward to a possible return, i miss Montreal.by JonVic - F1
I just can't wait for his return, i reckon he will still show the young ones a few things despite being 40!by JonVic - F1
Well i have decided to upgrade my Sky because i wanted to see the GP Masters sooooo much and its £45 a month, what a rip off! (you get Sky Sports 1,2,3 and xtra they dont even give you the Sky Sports high definition channel thats extra how much more money do they want!!!!!) I just do not understand why these new series sell the rights to Sky, both the A1 and Masters now will never be seen by a huby JonVic - F1
sky sports extra damn i dont have that, typical have to pay more to see it, looks like a1 gp and masters i will miss now because of this, damn sky why do they have to buy up everythingby JonVic - F1
I have just had a look on motors TV and on the BBC listings and it appears that there is no coverage of this weekends GP Masters!!! what is going on they have taken Murray Walker on to do the commentary and then they dont put it on TV, what the hell is going on this is madness????!!!!by JonVic - F1
sounds like it is the mirrors causing you grief. Look in you f1graphics.cfg and you will see a setting that says 'cull all track objects' change this value to 80 or 100 and you will notice a big difference. make sure you use the line that starts with the word 'mirrors' This simply culls all the track objects in you mirrors at about 80-100 metres instead of 400 metres and reallby JonVic - Grand Prix 4
just done a quick test and noticed that when i use the 2004 soundset by kpiotrow there is no problem with the barrier collision noise so the default ones and kpiotrow ones are fine but the ian woolham sound updates and the Real Sound v1.0 by Baz Pope have very low volume barrier collision noise...strangeby JonVic - Grand Prix 4
I have done a complete re-install of gp4 stuff and now the car collision noises are back even with the new soundpacks which is good One thing though is that when the car hits a barrier on any circuit the noise of the impact on a barrier is there but it is very quiet even when the settings for the collision volume are set to max and the other sounds are lower, they seem to be louder with the defaby JonVic - Grand Prix 4
yep im sure its gone all other sounds are okay but collision sounds is definately not there. I notice that the engine data folder contains several notepad files can these be adjusted with different values to make the sound re-appear? I have had a look at them but cannot work out what relates to the collision sound. What sound sets/packs are you guys using and do they have the collision thumpingby JonVic - Grand Prix 4
I have recently been experimenting with sound updates for my 2005 cars.wad. I firstly tried the ian woolham v1.5 sound update. I noticed that when this was being used if i hit any barriers or hit any other cars the thump noise of a collision didnt seem to exist anymore in the game. If i put the original samples folder back into gp4 then i get the default sounds back including the collision noisby JonVic - Grand Prix 4
Yeah i mean it does not take up much of the PC's resources like i said it is only about an extra 10 on the PO but it just seems weird. I dont have any anti-virus software apart from what is on XP SP2 and that is disabled i think. I wonder if it maybe has something to do with SP2 i may go back to SP1 as i have found other games run slower since upgrading to SP2 so maybe this is the answer. Alby JonVic - Grand Prix 4
i have managed to control this by reinstalling all my internet stuff but i still notice that when i have my broadband enabled the PO is higher in game than when it is disabled. It is not a huge difference maybe about 10 or so but when my system is really being pushed you can notice the difference. Is it normal to expect the PO to be a little higher when broadband is enabled (i have no downloads oby JonVic - Grand Prix 4
no you can by-pass the browser and just connect like normal and use internet explorer or mozilla its just like any other connection....by JonVic - Grand Prix 4
i think i may have traced the problem it is only doing this when my internet connection is enabled. I have never experienced this before which is weird, even if the internet is connected and not doing anything it seems to affect the game, i am on AOL by the way. Has anyone else experienced this, i wonder now i come to think of it that i have recently installed Windows XP SP2 when before i had beeby JonVic - Grand Prix 4
After a bit of a gap away from GP4 i decided to have a go at updating the game to the 2005 spec. I have downloaded most of the current top 2005 cars and put them into a wad. My problem is that when i start the game i will go to any track and my PO will be really high (about 150-200) which is stupid for my spec of PC. But then if i exit the track and then enter another track i will notice that mby JonVic - Grand Prix 4
hmmm....what resolution are you using and are you running in 32bit mode, i am running 1024x768 32bit and 70hz refresh rate. This is kinda weird i dont get framerate drop except on the main straight and on the straight after Graham Hill bend as i said above at Brands, i dont get why you would not get this with a similar system, the rate drops so much it is difficult to control the car properly somby JonVic - Other Games
@Stefmeister: So running all settings at max you get no framerate drop at Brands!? c'mon you must do my framerate never goes below 30fps but you can notice it a bit, my spec is faster than yours and i can notice framerate drop, on some tracks like lemans it is not noticable but at brands you must notice it surely!by JonVic - Other Games
Have any people tried this new add-on pack for this fantastic mod? If so i have 2 questions firstly i have a good GFX card and processor: nvidia FX5900XT Sempron 3000+ however i find that even with medium settings the fps drop quite low on tracks like brands at certain points, do others get this? It seems to be graphically VERY demanding. Second the new cars are bitches to drive, evenby JonVic - Other Games
