Bump... What do ya'll think?by bazil83 - Grand Prix 4
In time for Suzuka, I recorded my pole lap. I need to manually edit the CC skill etc as getting a lap 2.1s quicker than 2nd place on 'Ace' is ridiculous:by bazil83 - Grand Prix 4

I had the exact same problem and my first suspicion that it was the power supply, was correct. On the machine I play GP4, I have an E6400 C2D with an 8800GTS card powered with a 600w EZ Cool PSU which was hardly a cheap unit (paid about £60 for it, I think). Anyway, further investigation revealed that, as usual with budget PSUs, 600w was its "peak" rating; 80-90% of the time it was ruby bazil83 - Grand Prix 4

I know it's only 15 seconds, but it's a clip of me getting all kinds of out of shape on the exit of turn 4 in Hungary. I'm in the process of putting together a bunch of "sideways" polelaps; laps where I'm pushing like crazy and it shows; car going sideways here there and everywhere. Anyway, here it is... I couldn't quite believe I'd caught it when I did:by bazil83 - Grand Prix 4
Is there a replay program out there that will allow me to change the angles on the TV camera view? For example, so I can have a fixed shot of the first chicane at Imola, instead of it tracking the current selected car? Thanksby bazil83 - Grand Prix 4
I don't know if I'm missing something incredibly obvious (an option I'm not selecting or whatever), but this HUD disappears when I'm replaying. Any way to fix?by bazil83 - Grand Prix 4

Hey folks, thought this might make for interesting discussion. Would like to know how everyone sets their car up and drives either GP4 or rFactor (I'm GP4). Personally I set my car up on a more oversteery side of neutral and then set the diff to give it that bit more oversteer... Mainly when I'm coming off the brakes; I like to use a slightly loose rear end to help the car turn in.by bazil83 - Grand Prix 4
Flying Finn Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > A bit out of topic really but bazil83, when you > said the diff was tight does that mean a lower > number makes it tight or the other way around.... Lower number makes it tight in all cases. Setting all four to 0 is effectively welding the diff/having a solid drive shaft, like on a go-kart.by bazil83 - Grand Prix 4
Is there a new Nurburgring map anywhere? This is really annoying me because lapping 2 seconds quicker than the 2nd fastest guy on Ace isn't right. The track also seems reeeeeally grippy; I set the first and second gear ratios really quite low and the diff very tight on accel and I can still drill the throttle midway through most corners.by bazil83 - Grand Prix 4

Maybe it's the Physics file then, I'm not sure, but here's a video I just uploaded to best illustrate the annoying problem: &fmt=18by bazil83 - Grand Prix 4
Well hello thar. When I install this track and try to play it, the track is above the cars... Is there a fix for this? I use the same wad with the older dat and it works fine but somehow reverts back to the older version. Any tips? Thanks P.S. Is there a comprehensive thread full of 2009 car/track downloads? I checked the sticky thread here and there's only Abu Dhabi and not allby bazil83 - Grand Prix 4
I just got a Ferrari F430 wheel from Amazon... Great great greeeeat wheel! But not quite as good as the Ferrari F1 Force Feedback wheel I had (the replica of the Ferrari F1 wheel) which broke and Thrustmaster don't repair them But with the F430 wheel, I love using the manettino switch to make incar setup changes; feels great flicking the switch, pushing the buttons etc. With the F1 whby bazil83 - Grand Prix 4
Yes, it's all analoge, low sensitivity zone @ 50% on the brake. The wheel is a Thrustmaster Ferrari F1 Force Feedback wheel, this one:by bazil83 - Grand Prix 4
Oh yeah, sorry. I use wheels and pedal. I'm pretty sure it's original game physics. Well, unless the GP4 2007 mod changed the physics from the original...?by bazil83 - Grand Prix 4
Okay, so I wonder if anyone can help me here. No matter how hard or soft I brake, the front wheels keep locking... I switch the bias way to the rear, they still lock (so too do the rears, obviously). I've seen videos where no brake locking is going on. I brake hard and come of the brakes in the braking zone; I don't just slam on, keep them on and then turn in. If anyone can helpby bazil83 - Grand Prix 4
Not sure if this really competes with that rFactor video, but oh well:by bazil83 - Grand Prix 4

Eureka! I've done it, download this and make your puter think the buttons on your joystick are keys on the keyboard: Now I can actually loosen the diff for the Campsa corner in Barca and adjust the brake balance for hairpins and fast corners! Woooooohoooooooo.by bazil83 - Grand Prix 4
Okay, that works - F1 to cycle, F3 & F4 to adjust up and down. Now to figure out how to get it binded to the wheel's d-pad.by bazil83 - Grand Prix 4
