Hope someone would have time to answer a few questions for me I'm using the facility within GPxPatch to have different cars.wad files for each track and slowly making up a set of them to reflect the differences we have seen at each race this year. There are two things I'd like to do, 1. Have the cars only run a single element rear wing for tracks where this happens in reality, would Iby esprit - Grand Prix 4
I might be able to do it, this is partly an educated guess as to how it works and I won't have a chance to look until next week but I'll try. I'm just getting in to GP4, some of you may have seen my work in GPL most notably the LEA wheel 3do's released recently. Regards Gary Tallby esprit - Grand Prix 4
Would'nt it be the other way round, 100% low sensitivity in GP4 would be like linear (completely to the left) in GPL. I have GPL, full to the left and GP4 at 100% low sensitivity thanks to Morbid's tip above. Now about those force feedback settings for the Logi Control Panel, someone must have some recommendations for them. Regards Garyby esprit - Grand Prix 4
Mick, the Hyper won't help your steering, beyond providing a more comfortable driving position, see www.hyperstim.com Regards Garyby esprit - Grand Prix 4
Oh, yes the steering is much better, as you say not as nervous. Now just for you gentlemen to give me a few pointers on the ffb and I'll be very 'appy as one formula one driver says. Cheers Garyby esprit - Grand Prix 4
I wasn't comparing it, I just said its my favourite, surely that does'nt stop me liking bothby esprit - Grand Prix 4
Hey this is much better, thanks. Am I right to assume that the pedals work in the same way, upto the low sensitivity zone as analogue, above it switched? Also a final question, would some of you have some recommendations for the settings to use with a Momo in the game controllers menu in windows, i.e. max strength, damping and centering force. I have to say that although GPL is still my favouriby esprit - Grand Prix 4
Sorry, been away for a few days so not had the chance to respond. I'll try Morbid's tip tomorrow, that sounds interesting as it is currently a bit too much like a switch. Thanks Garyby esprit - Grand Prix 4
Currently I have little time for sim racing as I am working away from home, however I am very impressed with GP4 apart from one aspect. I've probably got it wrong but the steering does not feel right to me in GP4, I do some real life track driving (not in an F1 car though obviously!) and to me the responses do not seem quite right. I use a Momo modified to fit in a Hyper, I have low sensitiby esprit - Grand Prix 4
Thanks for the help. Sorry Bruno, I'm new here, just getting into GPx again since I stopped playing GP2 when GPL came out. I did not think to use the contact page. Nice site btw. Regards Garyby esprit - Grand Prix 4
Is it just me or do the links on this site for the FW25 point to a file called BAR003-001.exe which is the same size as the BAR003.exe file posted at the same time. Is there anywhere I can get the Williams from? Regards Garyby esprit - Grand Prix 4
Hello guys, I'm knew here although some of you may know my work for GPL, where I was co developer of GEM+ and some of my work on the wheels, most recently I completed the LEA wheels for the Lotus. GP2 was my first sim and I loved it dearly and although I had GP3 I did not use it much. I bought GP4 when it came out but had problems running it, applying the patch etc and just gave up.
