I wish I had seen this thread earlier. Speed Channel, the cable channel in the US that carries F1, rebroadcast the entire 1994 Imola race this Saturday with modern commentary by David Hobbs, Steve Matchett and others. I missed it and wish I had recorded it. I doubt they will broadcast it again anytime soon. It's part of a series called "Formula One Decade" and the series will mby Kekepana - Grand Prix 3
Yep, SPEED is the only way we can see F1 in the United States. Steve Matchett (of Benneton fame) is fantastic with his technical insights. David Hobbs is occasionally amusing, but is about as accurate as Murray Walker.by Kekepana - F1
Matthew, you might try the venerable Sim Racing News setup guide. Although it was written for GP2, the setup process is virtually identical. You can still find it at , perhaps elsewhere. Print out a copy while it is still available.by Kekepana - Grand Prix 3
I'm glad I read this thread as I had never tried Ale's Failure Editor. Question before I try it in a race: Do the default probabilities for failure still apply to drivers who are not edited to fail? If not, then Failure Editor guarantees that certain drivers will finish. And I'll never get a chance to beat Michael!by Kekepana - Grand Prix 3
I greatly appreciate the chance to read this article about Innes Ireland. Brings back fond memories of going to F1 races in the sixties. At Silverstone in 1965, tickets were cheap and paddock passes allowed to you see and hear everything. I had the good fortune to listen to the pre-race drivers' briefing outside in a grass field standing next to -- you guessed it -- Innes Ireland. I didnby Kekepana - F1
Hmmm...it's been so long I don't remember making a selection between hardware and software mode. I think hardware may be automatically selected by GP3 if its graphics testing indicates that your video card can handle the load. If not, GP3 defaults to software mode. May be time to consider a new card. What do you have?by Kekepana - Grand Prix 3
I contacted Rene and he has put up a revised version of 3.3 that fixes the CTD problem in GP3. Fast work!by Kekepana - Grand Prix 3
I just tried the brand new GPxPatch 3.3 and found that it causes an immediate CTD on booting GP3. No big problem, as I simply went back to GPxPatch 3.2 which works fine. Also tried 3.3 on GP4, where it is great.by Kekepana - Grand Prix 3
The following article just came out on www.itv-f1.com: "Justin Wilson has been preparing for his F1 debut with around-the-clock PlayStation sessions. The Brit, who secured a drive with Minardi last month, is desperate to learn tracks he has never driven onby Kekepana - Grand Prix 4
LOL! Maybe Imperial can sell itself to Tyco before it is too late <g>.by Kekepana - Grand Prix 4
I've been away from simracing for a while due to work and family, but I've finally gotten back to it. Although I still primarily race in GP3 (due to the lack of mods in GP4), I got GP4 up and running a few days ago. Impressive, just not the older seasons that I enjoy yet. I have been using a Thomas Super Wheel for about five years. Yes, the same wheel all that time. TSW's areby Kekepana - Grand Prix 4
