there is a simple solution for both problems, i run gp4 with 4xAA nd 8xAF. first as mentioned before use gpxpatch to disable progress bar, this will fix your loading screen problem. then use gpxpatch to set"extended pause mode" this will fix the blank screen in pause mode.by Caelen - Grand Prix 4

Mini Maestro, would your problem be due to the fact that these betas only include lod_0 tyreshapes. Maybe your lower lods are not original but lower lods of other tyre shape. are you talking about flashig textures in the distance or ovelapping objects appearing in front instead of behind ? the dxt1 transparency only helps with the second. ie if you have a tree texture sitting behind a fence texture behind a guard rail texture sometimes the trees will appear in front of the guard rail instead of behind where it should be, this can be eased by using the dxt1 trick. notby Caelen - Grand Prix 4

i had a lot of problems with this when updating trees, it usually happens when multiple textures that use transparency overlap. lo2k developed a method for fixing this. you have to find the relevent textures and change them from dxt5 to dxt1 with transparency. this will hopefully fix the problem, using tex resizer that is . i did all the guardrils and fences in my updates like this never had thby Caelen - Grand Prix 4

that effect has caused no problems for anyone else that i know you can turn this effect off in the grahphics config, i think its the following, although i could be wrong 3; Enable cockpit gamma 0 off,1 player for all, 2 player for player only, 3 driver specific. doubt if it would work, wouldnt they rotate around the wrong axis anyway. the easiest way to make arms would be to simply merg with the steering wheel object. then they would rotate with the wheel. however it probably wouldnt look any good as the "shoulders" would not be fixed.by Caelen - Grand Prix 4

not sure which track ill do next,if any i started nurbergring and interlagos but lost interest. blcloud, you can make your textures any size you lika as long as they are powers of2 in dimension. the aspect ratio doesnt even heve to be the same. ie if original texture is 128x128 you could replace it with 512x512 or 1024x512 or whatever you like, it doesnt matter. just use big enough te get theby Caelen - Grand Prix 4
