This year has been the year where my opinion of Vettel has changed, I now see him as a genuinely good driver. But, do I think he's the best on the grid? No. I still think that's Alonso and Hamilton. Yes, he has been dominating and winning by insane margins, but there are still so many unknowns. He has had the same teammate, the same car, the same Adrian Newey, the same Helmut Marko.by flat tyre - F1

I might have to hold you to that - I would definitely go (I'm about to finish my motorsport engineering degree this year, but as we all know... it's not what you know but who you know), but it's the money that's making me think about it...by flat tyre - F1
So, so slow... but so, so beautiful - Andrea Moda Simtek 94, as EC83 mentioned A bit later than the other cars, but this is probably the one car that got me interested in F1 - the 2001 Bennettonby flat tyre - F1
I'm no aussie, but even I'm dead chuffed! I think he'll be a very popular driver, and I'd love to see him do wellby flat tyre - F1
I never saw a race at Mexico City, but I reckon that they could keep the layout the same apart from the last corner (and maybe the first). But, now that Tilke and co. have recognized how popular esses are (Silverstone, Suzuka, COTA) I could see most of the corners at Mexico staying more or less the same, just as long as they could get any new run-offs sorted.by flat tyre - F1
I managed to do that once, I think, but only when I was trying to total the car on purpose. I'm impressed that you managed to do it when you weren't trying! The crashes can actually be quite shocking when you don't mean to do them, but I bet you were laughing more than picking your stomach up from the floor? senninho Wrote: ---------------------------------------------------by flat tyre - F1
I've bought a 3D games developing programme recently, and of course the first thing I'm making is a race sim (based on the BTCC). But, me being me, I've come across a problem already. I have no experience whatsoever of driving a front wheel drive car at speed, in real life or on a sim. I've googled it, but most of the answers seem to be quite vague. The problem is, I donby flat tyre - Off-Topic
I'm so glad to hear that Austria will be back! It'll be a welcome change from the flat, uninspiring modern circuits - I never thought I'd see an F1 car blasting through the alpine forests and mountain ranges again! I wonder if they still plan on building the extension to the circuit that was discussed a few years ago? The one where they would use parts of the old Osteriech Ringby flat tyre - F1
As much as I'd like to see Ricciardo in the Red Bull, Alonso joining Vettel would be a MASSIVE battle. I can't imagine Alonso partnering another number 1 driver such as Vettel, but that would be something to behold. At least one of the egos would be shattered - question is, which one...? I know who I'd put my money on!by flat tyre - F1
Apparently, there's speculation that next year's engines will be more powerful than anyone expected. They're saying that they could reach 850 BHP, which is about 100 BHP more than the current engines. Also, cars will have far less drag next year. I wonder if this means a return to 350+ km/h down the straights at Monza? I sure hope so!by flat tyre - F1

Here's where I sneak up and say that I got a ticket, too. Thoroughly enjoyed it! It's surprising, because it's only an interview but you feel like you're right in the middle of the F1 world with an event like this. I wasn't going to ask a question at first, but I thought "sod it" and I managed to get one in to the team bosses. I'm glad I did now. (And to wrby flat tyre - F1
Just found out that Murray Walker has been diagnosed with cancer. Obviously this is terrible news, but on the bright side it has been found in it's early stages and it's possible that he'll make a good recovery over the next couple of months. Wishing you well, Murray.by flat tyre - F1
Same here. I'm glad you brought this up - I would've been annoyed if it had happened in London without me realising. I've just registered. How do they decide who gets the tickets?by flat tyre - F1
I remember when they first introduced radio messages to the free-to-air broadcast, they played them live without any delay or editing. I think it was qualifying for the Turkish GP in 2005 when Webber was doing his one-shot qualy lap, when he came across a slow moving Sato at the chicane. Queue Webber blurting out live on television "WHAT THE %@£% IS SATO DOING?!?!?!" Needless to say,by flat tyre - F1
I just read this on Autosport, and thought it was a very good article on how F1 today compares to F1 of the past, with the Pirelli tyres etc. Far better than reading a half of the rubbish that gets spouted out by keyboard warriors Formula 1's high-degrading tyres have turned the sport into a 'thinking man's game', reckons McLaren sporting director Sam Michby flat tyre - F1
Wow! Thoroughly, thoroughly enjoyed that. I could say so much... but most of you have said it all already, so I won't bother! One thing I will say, though - I think this was the year that I really started to appreciate Sakhir as a track. I never saw it as one before, but I now see it as a 'power track' up there with Monza, old Hockenheim, etc. Thought it was £@$#ing thrilling heby flat tyre - F1
Aha... that's made a big change in my understanding. Now it's my job to get so many points that you regret giving me that advice! I've done my homework and hopefully it'll pay off. I think that was my problem, though. I was just picking cheaper drivers that I thought would finish in a high position.by flat tyre - F1

I was thinking the same thing just a few days ago. If I ever happen to take a look at a larger f1 forum, I always get a leaving present... a splitting headache. I'm so glad I came across this place all those years ago, when searching for a website to do with GP4 (that was far too high-spec to run on my pc at the time! Quite honestly, I think he finds it difficult to cope with pressure... it even dates back to when he nearly got a podium (win, I think?) in the Williams at Singapore, but binned it after exiting the pits. I think he's an awesome talent, though, and I've been cheering him on since Australia 07. That's when I really started to notice.by flat tyre - F1
Worked like a charm! The Jaguar Tcam still looks odd, but I'll find a way around it. Thanks again. Now, back to GP4by flat tyre - Grand Prix 4
Thanks both of you, will give it a try now and see what happens...by flat tyre - Grand Prix 4
I downloaded a new set of Tcam positions, but for some cars it cuts away part of the helmet. I also get it when trying the head rotation (from gp4tweaker) in cockpit view. I'm guessing that it's because they're too close to the screen. Does anyone here have any suggestions on how I could stop this? Thanks in advance! btw... If I remember rightly, just a few weeks ago Mateschitz also talked about Raikkonen being a candidate at Red Bull. Seems plausible to me, especially if Vettel's being given the cold shoulder.by flat tyre - F1
