If it is, it's actually come from Williams as their own Facebook and Twitter feeds are also showing it. It isn't of these photoshops that wtf.f1 obsess over.by J i m - F1
Well, if it wasn't for the continued silliness re guarding the nose tips that'd be a damned good looking car. It's simply a good looking car with that though.by J i m - F1
And Manor are STILL beavering away trying to save the team. This weeks auctions have been postponed whilst last ditch talks with potential investors take place. Well that's tenacity for you. I really hope they make it, even though it'd be with the 2014 car and drivers with more money than talent.by J i m - F1
I'm going to do something daft and pre-empt the whole car launch and pre season testing period in sharing my speculation on the year ahead. Usually I'd wait until near the end of testing to get a general feel of the form. Barring a few rule tweaks based more around aesthetics there seems to relatively few technical changes this year, although it seems that some limited in season engiby J i m - F1
I heard that the WEC will imposing a 24hr maximum race time at Le Mans.... Oh wait...by J i m - F1
Locking up Herman Tilke would serve no purpose, he works to a strict constrictive brief... And the next architect would only have the very same brief to work from.by J i m - F1
Rose tinted specs is about right... Okay... The cars were spectacular, we had Senna, prost, mansell, rosberg etc... But the racing was no better than today... Actually the gaps between the cars were far bigger and hardly any of them finishedby J i m - F1
I really don't understand much of the negativity we see about F1 all the time. Yes, there are some problems which need solving.. but honestly? The racing is as good as it's ever been. It's almost as if it's simply fashionable or cool to knock it. I got into F1 in the early 90s and I will always love that era... but it wasn't any better than what we have today orby J i m - F1
It looks more unlikely by the minute that either will make it. Caterham still insist that they are talking to interested parties, there's utter silence from Manor, although I gather the auctions have been going on. It's a real shame, it's bad enough to lose Caterham even though the shaningans over the last year made them look like a complete clusterfuck, but it's reallyby J i m - F1
Gutierrez announced as test & reserve driver at Ferrari. Certainly didn't see that coming.by J i m - F1
Perhaps we should lock the other thread? We only really need one 2015 thread, and this one has the swanky graphicsby J i m - F1
So it is! My bad. Glad Kmag is being kept on as 3rd driver then, but for the short-medium term it was definitely correct to keep Button on, and since they were desperate to have Alonso it's Kmag who has to step back.by J i m - F1
That seems to be the concenus, although I can't find it actually posted anyway reputable as actual officially announced news. I would be gutted for Kmag, he doesn't deserve this 'Red Bull' style dropping especially this late. If he is out out the race line up then I hope he is at least retained as a reserve with Vandoorne. Actually, it's almost a case of Mclaren havby J i m - F1
All kind of rumours are about at the moment, even some suggesting the hold up is Alonso and his get-out clauses if the Honda turns out to be a dudd.by J i m - F1
It seems that Sainz Jr is closing in on the STR drive, he's got his reward test with RBR for winning the FR3.5 this week, but for me what is really telling that Vergne is out in the cold is that he's not evening testing the STR this week, Verstappen is doing both days. I suspect Sainz is the clear favourite now, and it wouldn't surprise me if Lynn gets the odd Friday run out eitherby J i m - F1
I've sensed a fair bit of critism of Magussen, especially from planetf1.com. But I don't think much of it is warranted. I don't think they've viewed him fairly or objectively. Expecting a Hamilton type debut season was sheer insanity, for one thing Hamilton had extensive testing and a competive car. Magussen had a young driver day and a handful of pre season test days in whatby J i m - F1
Definitely the right result, it would have looked exceedingly daft to have been the stonger driver in wheel to wheel combat all year, winning 11 races to 5 (or whatever) and still loose the championship and so.. on that basis Hamilton deserved to win this championship. But good karma? I'm sorry but what nonsense. Both drivers played the game this year and both gave it their all and thankby J i m - F1
The odds are still heavily in Hamilton's favour, all Rosberg can do is win the race and hope for the best. I don't think the Williams is going to be able to challenge them in the race because the Merc is simply far better in looking after the tyres and the Merc has a big enough advantage to be able to recover relatively easily from any minor problem.. Although perhaps except the wiringby J i m - F1
Apparently Rubens had a deal to do the last three races, not sure if that holds any weight but they're not announcing anything yet apart from Kobayashi. Merhi, Stevens and Chillton seem to be the frame although there are super licsence issues for Merhi and Stevens. Manor had been trying to get to Abu Dhabi and even got to the point of sending out freight but all attempts have now beenby J i m - F1
Yes, well intelligence doesn't exclude someone from stupidity.by J i m - F1
I think it's all getting rather silly. Bernie is obviously trolling again, it's what he tends to do as part of his tactic of "divide and conquer" only this time he really is risking it all. To be so dismissive of the younger fan is ludicrous. Where on earth does he think the next generation of fans are coming from? They might not have money to waste on his brands today..by J i m - F1
I don't think he racing or excitement is the problem, it's been terrific pretty much all year. It's the politics and bickering which Bernie only manages to stir which is disappointing.by J i m - F1
Yeah, I respectfully think it's time for Bernie to retire. He's done a massive amount to build the sport into what it is, but he now risks ruining it all. I wonder if Ross Brawn could be tempted into some kind of interim role... It probably wouldn't be long term and the comerical aspect may not be his area, but if there is one thing that he proved excellent at time and time aby J i m - F1
I predict when this thread reaches 88.8 years... We'll see some serious spoilers.by J i m - F1
I think Hamilton has been in at least three last race title show downs. So Rosberg finally did what he's failed to do since Spa onwards which is soak up the pressure coming from Hamilton in the race. Hamilton's spin probably cost him the win as he was looking good to leap frog Rosberg at the stops but there after Rosberg handled everything well, actually I was reminded of 2002 when tby J i m - F1
