Tony you're a genius. Works fine now thanks. Just incase anybody else has this problem, Tony advised me to lower the banks "height offest" to -4 (they were 4 before). It works fine now. The tarmac still doesn't work though. paul..by airefresco - Grand Prix 4
Just sent you an email mate. thanks..by airefresco - Grand Prix 4
Can anybody help me with this? I don't want to do much more with the pitlane until this is solved. thanks. paul..by airefresco - Grand Prix 4
Oh ok. Is there anyway to fix it?by airefresco - Grand Prix 4
Sorry, I didn't explain it very well. It's looks Ok in 3deditor, it's in the game that it's flickering. paul..by airefresco - Grand Prix 4
Sorry for being such a noob at this track editing lark, but I have yet another problem. Where my pitlane leaves the track and crosses over the banks and verges of the track, the textures from the track/verges/banks are "flickering" through the pitlane textures. I have been trying to solve this all day. I have tried loads of things, including raising the pitlane up 1 meter from thby airefresco - Grand Prix 4
Thanks man that fixed it. Sectors 1 and 2 were -18 with the next 50 or so at 0. The last 2 were 16000 or something. I set them to 0 its perfecxt now. Thanks paul..by airefresco - Grand Prix 4
I´ll have a go at manually adjusting the pitch first. I assume that the first and last sectors pitch should be the same? thanks, paul..by airefresco - Grand Prix 4
Thanks tony that solved the problem in the 2 corners, however created a new problem. Only effects the cars on pole posistion. When the other cars drive over pole position slot they get thrown into the air. The rest of the track is fine now. Any thoughts? paul..by airefresco - Grand Prix 4
I was just about to ask about the tarmac, so thanks b-tone. Just one more thing I need to do then I think my dat is pretty much done. Basically, just before the first corner the cars seem to sink down into the track a little. It's after the breaking point. Then just before they start to turn it returns to a normal position. Then on the very last corner, the front of the cars rise, likeby airefresco - Grand Prix 4
Sad to see you go buddy. It' thanks to you I didn't give up on making a track. Thanks for all your help. paul.. P.s. Nearly finished the dat, with all the changes you sugested, plus some more.by airefresco - Grand Prix 4
Sorry, I thought you had used the same template as me (Ryuuka). I meant that I am sending the author an email to make sure it is ok for me to release my cars. As I thought you were using the same template I was going to ask on your behalf as well in the same email. It doesn't matter though if you are using a different template. paul..by airefresco - Grand Prix 4
I've looked at the readme and this is what it says about permission, "It's not allowed to use this as source in your own work without the explicite permission! This includes the use of this file in any carset without permission." I think I had better get permission before i even think about releasing anything. @axel180, Do you want me to ask for you also?by airefresco - Grand Prix 4
So Kubica gets DQed for being underwight, probably because of tyre wear? What about Schumachers tyres? There was nowt left on them, surely he must be underwieght too?by airefresco - F1
Yeah they've just started the coverege and were interviewing alonso on the grid and it stopped raining. The tracks wet though, so it should be an interesting start.by airefresco - F1
I assume I would have to get permission to do that? I look in to it. paul..by airefresco - Grand Prix 4
Telecinco have just cut to the track and was raining. I just caught a glimsp but I think it was live. Schumacher and Alonso were on track.by airefresco - F1
@Quckslick, You mean this one? paul..by airefresco - Grand Prix 4
Not a bad session. Honda look quick, but I think they fall back through the race. They should still score points though. Kubica did very well. I hope he keeps it up through the race. And did you see, Kimi almost smiled. good lap though. TBH I still think Schumacher will win if Masa can keep up with or pass Kimi. The Ferraris are stupidly quick. Renault don't look that good. Thats similar as to what Ruboy told me, so I deleted everything but the first sectors of the pilane, moved them a bit further down so it's a lot smoother entry and exit. Well, it would be if my car didn't go all crazy. paul..by airefresco - Grand Prix 4
Yeah, I think I did. I am using Mavericks and Zepplines tutorials to do the track and pitlanes. I cannot check it right now, because I´m at work. If thats what is causing the problem, how do I fix it? paul..by airefresco - Grand Prix 4
"Yep, you have to keep pitlane track sectors as close as the usual sector length, else you will get such offset in pits or even won't be able to pit at all (or to leave the pits after any refuelling)." Could you explain this again please, i don´t understand what you mean. sorry. I get the next bit though, I haven´t tried this yet. thanks paul..by airefresco - Grand Prix 4
Thanks Lo2k, I´m pretty sure i have done the fence gate right. It´s difficult to tell but I think the problem is after this point. I changed the .col file to make the banks and verges to tarmac. This seems to have stopped the flying around everywhere. However, the car still pulls towards the track, but not as much. When i arrive at to the pitcrew, the car doesn´t line up with them quiteby airefresco - Grand Prix 4
I have been working on a track. I used Mavericks template as a start because I couldn't get the pitlane right. Anyway, Ruboy had a look at my CC-line for me and said I should have a go at re-doing the pitlane because it was too tight on the entry and exit. I have done this and now, when I enter the pits, the car pulls back towards the track and then starts flying all over the place (uby airefresco - Grand Prix 4
I've been playing around with the cc-line for almost a week now. The cars are now 6 seconds a lap quicker than my first attempt, but it's still not perfect. Would anybody be kind enough to take a look at my dat file and have a little tweak with the cc-line as they fell necessary? If anybody is interested please PM me your email and i'll send you the dat. thanks in advanby airefresco - Grand Prix 4
