Basically there are some journo's in prison for standing up against the government and most of the media coverage is state media. There are also reports of other human rights abuses especially with regards to working conditions in the less wealthy part of society. But, we went to Bahrain, so... Is it not that narrow? I like the fact that it looks like a very fast circuit in placby Laton - F1
We should not be having a race in this shitty, corrupt little corner of the world where human rights abuses are rife and the government run what is essentially a dictatorship. But enough about the UK, the Baku circuit looks class and should give us an interesting race.by Laton - F1
100% agree that it looked like Lewis understeered into Nico, guess we'll never know. Dull race. Dull dull dull. In other news, the Waif from Game of Thrones looks hella like Kimi Raikkonen.by Laton - F1
Start the damn motor race before I piss myself.by Laton - F1
Well, Monaco highlights it - Williams clearly have a @#$%& chassis this year I put £20 in Max to win this world title just as something to keep my eye on, (I thought the odds of 40/1 were quite good) which is why he is back of the grid today.by Laton - F1
What's far more annoying is that Red Bull clearly switched Dan Ricciardo's strategy mid-race. They say it was to cover Vettel, the cynics say it was to give Verstappen the edge on his debut. Dan Ricciardo has never, ever appeared annoyed or bitter about anything but even though he congratulated Max on his win, he didn't look best pleased today. At a time when they now arguabby Laton - F1
It was just clumsiness from the pair of them tbh.by Laton - F1
Who is that oaf on the podium?!by Laton - F1
Bloody hell. Do you all realise what you're watching?? This guy is the next Schumacher, and he's here now. It's happening now.by Laton - F1
Very harsh, I feel for Daniil. The pressure was there from the start and given that Hemlut Knobface Marko said at the start of the year "perform or you're out" ... it always seemed a thinly veiled threat to Daniil. I honestly don't think the second contact was his fault. Max was always going to end up at Red Bull but I rather think it was too soon to drop Kvyat and the poby Laton - F1
What a mess!! Kvyat hit Vettel THREE TIMES in the first lap.by Laton - F1
Max wouldn't have rammed them, he would have left half an inch worth of space and made no contact. His wheel-to-wheel combat skills are outstanding. Melbourne notwithstanding.by Laton - F1

Haas are embarrassing other teams. Outstanding. Kvyat, wat?by Laton - F1
This is a brilliant read:by Laton - F1
We're adding up these possibilities though. It's very unlikely that the fuel cell will rupture nowadays, it's mathematically impossible for the head to strike the ground thanks to the shape of the cockpit sides, tyres usually fly away from the car (unless they swing back on tethers), safety crews are immediately on the scene, etc etc etc. For sure it was a spectacular accident bby Laton - F1
Marco Campos. Freak accident, unfortunate angle, a bit leg Greg Moore but not as destructive. Wasn't Depailler decapitated by the guard rail? Older racers aside where the cars were deathtraps anyway, other than bruising I can't think of a single injury sustained in a rolled-over car in F1 since 1990, but I can find lots of examples of them walking away. Unless you'reby Laton - F1
Yeah I was pretty impressed by Renault. Tidy performance. Disappointments were Williams and Sauber.by Laton - F1
I'm struggling to think of an accident I've seen in F1 where a driver was injured after the car rolled. Diniz in the Sauber in 1999 comes to mind but that was a failed rollover hoop, IIRC. Was it 2000 when Pedro DLR cartwheeled into the gravel during that pileup at Monza? Similar forces going on there I reckon. With both Alonso and Kubica the real dangerous part of the crash was theby Laton - F1
I think people are overreacting a little, particularly with Mosley saying he would have been dead fifteen years ago. Brundle's car became airborne and flipped into a corkscrew whereas Alonso didn't get airborne from the collision but from the gravel. I know this accident looked horrendous but Brundle's was far worse IMO, and the Villeneuve/Ralf Schumacher crash at the same pointby Laton - F1
Haha, this is the kind of problem I'll sit down and hastily come up with a solution to in early March 2019, most likely on a Saturday night before the Aus GP.by Laton - F1
Just because something is illegal doesn't make it morally wrong. It's illegal because a bunch of unrelated people in suits say it is illegal, and that applies to all minor laws designed as umbrella-restrictions to protect the majority. And it's something society hasn't quite got right yet. I haven't seen the video or the selfie or whatever, just sayin'by Laton - F1
I slated it at the time but I think single lap quali would be a good direction to move in. Spread over three sessions with the slowest knocked out. I think that would work.by Laton - F1

Sour schumi fanboy? The collisions you refer to were nothing alike. Here, people were asking Alonso if he blamed Esteban. Racing incident endemic at circuits with mid-slow corners after straights and shifting grip levels, attributing blame helps nobody. In this case I actually think the Haas moved around a bit in the braking zone.by Laton - F1
Haas are doing an outstanding job too, regardless of what happens.by Laton - F1
Well because Brundle is commentating now obviously :P It's bound to be the one that jumps to mind.by Laton - F1
Bloody hell, Alonso. Reminded me of Villeneuve over the top of Ralf in the early 00's. Glad to see him walk away, the car is a pile of carbon fibre against the barrier to the extent the commentators didn't even SEE it at first.by Laton - F1
