WOW!! 24 hour racing is sweet. I did my first one in a kart this year. Although I broke a rib (and I still can't sleep properly at night because of it) it was one of the best experiances of my life!! Watching Top Gear tonight has got me all excited for next year. I should be doing the British Kart 24 hour and the Le Mans 24 hour at the Circuit de Alan Prost if things go to plan. Upon viewing the report, Renault should have been punished as far as I'm concerned. And holding off approving McLaren's car to Febraury is also ridiculous. The FIA are trying and doing a very good job of putting McLaren's 2008 preparations into complete limbo. And why can Ferrari view this report? Surely it will contain a lot of technical details on McLaren's 2008 car, and whaby FRESCO - F1
I will be very interested to hear the reasoning behind this, as I didn't really see any difference between this and McLaren's case. It makes McLarens punishment even more of a farce than it already was.by FRESCO - F1

I don't really know what I'm talking about TBH I'm just going by what I've read that the Radeon X1950 is the best DX9 only card thats available. I'll just bite the bullet I think and upgrade the PSU and get the 8800GT, I can afford it I'm just being a tight bastard with myself really. I plan on getting vista in a few months anyway, and would like to play UT3 aby FRESCO - Off-Topic
Ok, well upgrading the PSU as well as the graphics card to a 8800GT is a bit out of my price range for now. Am I right in saying that the Radeon X1950Pro 512MB is the best DX9 card out there? And that will run on a 250W PSU right? I'm not bothered about DX10 gaming yet, as I don't have vista anyway.by FRESCO - Off-Topic

I took the cover off my computer and looked at the sticker on the power supply. Its a HEC-250AR-PTF apparently, and it says on the sticker that its power is 250W. So I assume an 8800GT, for example, would not be able to run off this PSU?by FRESCO - Off-Topic
How do you find out what power your PSU is? I'm currently thinking about upgrading but keep getting all flustered when each graphics card spec starts talking about what power is needed. My computers spec sheet simply says '250W+' but I'm pretty sure my current graphics card (7600GS) requires a bigger power supply than this. Is there any definitive way to know what power youby FRESCO - Off-Topic
All of this Hamilton bashing is starting to get on my tits. Completely agree with Marcl on this. Rookie mistakes all year? What have you been smoking? The only crucial mistake Hamilton made all year was in China, and I don't think even superman himself could have kept that car on the road. Even with his one small mistake in Brazil it didn't really matter, he would have got 4th from therby FRESCO - F1
Refering to past cases here is meaningless, Ferrari were using an illegal car in Melbourne and nothing was done, to counter the above argument. The only past case that can be applied is the '95 one, in which case Raikkonen remains WDC.by FRESCO - F1

Very interesting race. Hamilton shows himself to be the punk I suspected him to be all along. Just deserts for him AND ron Dennis. I predict Hamilton will be downhill from this point on. We have seen him flame out and here's to him dropping back to earth. Not much better than Montoya after all... Sir Jackie Stewart is considering taking legal action against Max Mosley over remarks the FIA president made at a lunch with the British media last month. Following the ‘spygate’ verdict, Stewart was vocal in his criticism of both the conduct of the case and the scale of the $100 million fine handed to McLaren by the FIA’s World Motor Sport Council. Mosley responded by telling journalists tby FRESCO - F1

What I meant was not the relationship, attention, respect etc. that lewis hamilton has showed his boys in that 5 minute long, during the grandprix video. I was directing attention at the fact that this kid seems to have taken a chunk out of the Schumacher book of PR. I only ever remember Schumacher doing these things when the camera was on, I don't recall Hakkinen, Alonso, Hill, Senna etc evby FRESCO - F1
Lastly, I dont know what it is, I really HOPE this is not a trend for the future. But did Michael Schumacher leave behind a script or something on how to stage one's self off track? Cause it seems Lewis Hamilton has plagiarized that script to a tee. It seemed far more genuine when Schumacher did it, rather than the 5 minute footage during the race of Hamilton walking around shaking everyone’by FRESCO - F1
I dont know if any of you have the session recorded or have a rerun to watch but take close attention at the very end of Q3. I remember right at the end somewhere after lewis put in his lap there was a shot of Alonso thumping his steering wheel and jolting his head forward in the cockpit (quite possibly in anger). lol, it amused me for sure. Yes I noticed there seemed to be a lot of energy comby FRESCO - F1
In my opinion that clip shows that it was more Vettel's fault than it first appeared. He decided to overtake Lewis but didn't look up properly before flooring the throttle. You can't give somebody a penalty for warming their brakes. With regards to teh Webber/Vettel incident: I would be inclined to lay some of the blame with Mark. For someone who is so involved in raising safety, he wasn't half dicking about behind the safety car wasnt he!?? He deserved to get hit the way he was carrying on. Obviously though, its the guy behinds' responsibility not to run into the car infront, so tsk tsk Seb. Gutting. I deby FRESCO - F1

I believe that the penalty is fair. This sort of thing always goes on between teams though, its just that McLaren happened to get caught. It will act as a good detterent in the future.
