looking back at it now, I feel sd about everything that happened to some good f1 drivers. webber will leave the big stage with..... nothing big achieved. He could never win his home race, where hundreds of thousands of aussie fans cheered for him. And how close did than win look back in 2006 on lap 30. Now a home-race-dream is nothing short of a lost opportunity for webber, to leave his name iby mitadumapaga - F1
everyone has his or her own opinion. in my view though, schumy, just as webber, did not enjoy racing mainly because of the tyres. Nico being a tough nut to crack could have been a factor too, but honestly, pointing this one is only a pure speculation.by mitadumapaga - F1
what do you mean, "the other car "... you mean with rosberg?by mitadumapaga - F1

honestly I believe that schuey retired, because he did not enjoy racing as much as he used to.On one hand, the tyres did not allow him to push to the limit, and schuey has always been pointing out that finding his limits is one of the things he most likes about f1. On the other hand, he maybe realized he started to make too many mistakes. In the pack or not, surronded by lame drivers (senna jr.,by mitadumapaga - F1
ross brawn could not have been more despondent/ downbeat/ underwhelmed/ unemotional/ unhappy that nico was 1st. Actually, when asked from the sky interviewer: "ross what a qualy. did you expect such a result", ross answered something in t he lines that lewis had had problems and thats why it he was slow; still, i didn't hear any complements coming from his mouth about nico. take it easy fellows, last race hamilton needed team orders to stay ahead of nico, and in australia the pair of them were less than 4-5 seconds apart until rosberg retired. Nico is fast enough and will be a match to lewis. neither reliability, nor the BAR team help nico be fast. still, after only 1 race everyone condemns him to be a britney with no chance to beath lewis.by mitadumapaga - F1
the pirelli tyres are an absolute joke. What a dull qualifying session indeed. The cars spent more time in pits, rather than on track (especially the caterhams hihi). Anyway, something must be done. I watched imola 2005, turkey2006 and could appreciate the pure racing then. If the cars then cuold easily go within 1 sec. from each other, then just introduce good tyres again and use drs and kersby mitadumapaga - F1
what i meant is that they would launch their car into a gap that would not be gone for frmo other drivers.by mitadumapaga - F1
Hi guys, I decided to start this topic to discuss the different tricks the formula 1 drivers throughout the years have used in head to head battles. Here are some that have impressed me a lot: Montoya/ Senna: Both would just launch the car on the inside and hope that the other car wouldn't turn in on them. Now it takes some balls to risk not only a good result with such a manouver, butby mitadumapaga - F1
why didnt mark try to catch vettel ???? if he hadnt been able to keep up with him and lost 10 sec. for 10 laps, then he shouldnt play it as if he is the victim.by mitadumapaga - F1
and nico was on another level yesterday. Every time he was out of pits around 4-6 seconds behind hamilton and gained the time in later in the stint. Not only fia destroys racing, stupid nerds with goggles, such as Ross Brawn and helmut Marko contribute to the KILL of racing too. how can ross possibly say to nico that there is nothing to race for ?? Webber was about 4 seconds ahead at one poinby mitadumapaga - F1
just a short question guys, I decided to post it in here since it is actually realated to the malaysian grand prix....or rather to its history. this is a quote from murray's memories from malaysian grand prixs: Or did he? A few hours after the race, both Ferraris were disqualified for illegal bodywork. Technical director Ross Brawn even held up the offending part to journalists and expby mitadumapaga - F1
i still cant answer mysself this question: why did sutil pit while leading and pulling away from vettel ??by mitadumapaga - F1
Such a shame for: rosberg, massa & sutil. All of the critics that were directed towards Sutil and all the comments about "ooh, he had his chance, he s not good enough etc etc." . The guy is a german, and germans are extremely tough Mada fakas. never write them off (no nationalism, i am a Bulgarian, i have just been to germany for over 4 years). However, I wonder, whether his goby mitadumapaga - F1
now, in 2006 or 2007, Sir F. Williams said that nico was one of the fastest drivers he (frank) had ever worked with. until today i have never been able to explain to myself, why was nico so underrated. he beat hamilton in the tests, he was also so much faster in fp2. and i believe that nico, if not as fast as hamilton, will be at least very close to his much higher ranked teammate.by mitadumapaga - F1
Come on Nicooo !!! Come on Masssaby mitadumapaga - F1
i agree with you jim. Indeed everything tested by the different drivers on the different days makes the times a little incomparable. However, if you take a broader look over the 3 tests thus far, you will see that alonso, vettel, button have all been faster than their team mates.so has nico. thats why i pointed it out. Also, i really like the bloke. he is always very kind to journalists veryby mitadumapaga - F1
just to switch the topic a little. is it just me or has rosberg destroyed hamilton over the winter testing ? I cant recall a test at which hamilton was at least as fast as nico.by mitadumapaga - F1
dont forget that merc.'s problems last year were related mainly to the DOUBLE DRS. had they fixed it, they have a very good shot at a good performance. Look at renault and their transformation from 2011 to 2012. their car was actually pretty decent in 2011 (considerring that even petrov drove it to a podium). a few tweaks here and there may just do the job for them.by mitadumapaga - F1

a very interesting fact: after the summer break, all the races after spa (spa included), massa has scored 97 points. Alonso on the other hand, 114. and all of this in spite of massa having to back off at monza, america and brazil. True, alonso was in a league of his own in monza and should have won, and another 30 sure points were lost in belgium and japan, but still... for a driver not fiby mitadumapaga - F1
my first memory of f1, although not a whole race watched, was jerez 1997. My uncle and I went to visit a friend of his, and they were all in a bar underneath their apartment. I still remember how happy my uncles friend was with all his buddies around, watching the post race stuff and celebrating that schumacher had just lost out, rather than Williams and Villeneuve having won. They all (my unclby mitadumapaga - F1
dan you are right. button is good, but he only won when the mclaren was soo good, that he didnt have any competition. i doubt they will have this type of a car the whole season long. i am still hoping he can pull another championship up though.by mitadumapaga - F1
youcant drag a car up to a podium when it usually finishes appr. a minute behind the race leader. this is a gap no driver skills can overcome.by mitadumapaga - F1
a very very, hugely sad day for the sport Formula 1.... one of the best presenters, jake, quitting ! probably the beginning of a very dark few years in mclaren with practically no more than a good driver !! one of the fastest racers out there, Lewis Hamilton, moving to a team where most likely he will be reduced to a mere 7-th place fighter !!! alonso getting denied from yet aby mitadumapaga - F1
