Yeah I know what you mean but for me I'm just looking at it as winner takes all. Lewis could have a 49 point lead break down at the last race and Nico wins. Its just such a nasty thought tbh. Lewis just needs to finish 2nd in the last two races but I just don't trust the merc car, its been ok for the last 6 races so it means Lewis is due a problem lol. weather you like him oby marcl - F1
Its meant to rain all weekend, and heavy rain so no idea what will happen. It feels like a pointless race tbh as if lewis or nico win it changes nothing due to the stupid double points at the final race.by marcl - F1
Nico had problems in the USA with under steer just like Lewis, only Lewis was able to sort this out at his stop and Nico said he had tools to get round the problem but did not use them. That to me indicates he was more reliant on using the team for help, he also said he used the wrong switch/button to get instant ERS power to defend. The only race Nico had won where Lewis had zero problems waby marcl - F1
Was an ok race seemed a bit bland tbh I don't know just could not get into it. Lewis had the pace on the harder tyres all weekend, Nico seems to have an advantage on the softer tyres like he has all year. I thought the lewis move was good but risky, but he knows Nico will not turn in so worth a risk. Wolff said after the race now its just between them to maybe the chains can come totaby marcl - F1
I thought he was only changing the main engine? They must be changing the whole thing then.by marcl - F1
All this crap about Vettel not going to bother with quali. He has to or he will just get 10 place penalty at the next race.by marcl - F1
What worried me about Williams is will they still be up there next year? They have done a great job this year, but they also done a great job in 2012 then had their worst year in 2013. Will be interesting.by marcl - F1
Well who ever it is they need to see that no teams equals no money. Makes me wonder how close Williams did come to going.by marcl - F1
Bernie needs to give more back to the sport, he has made billions from it and its about time he stopped taking so much. He does not need the money, he cannot spend what he has its a complete joke.by marcl - F1
The main problem is that a team like Force India spend money building their own car, now if a back end team buys a 2014 Merc for 2015 the chances are it will still be faster than a lot of the mid field next year so how is it fair on a team like Force India?by marcl - F1
Caterham will miss the next two races, its been confirmed.by marcl - F1
Caterham will miss the next 2 races as they look for a new buyer.by marcl - F1
They need to do something to get new drivers on the grid as they keep missing out. Kevin looks set to be replaced by Alonso, yet another young driver removed with no small team to go to. I am actually in favour of three car teams or junior teams still run by the normal team but using year old cars or junior people. Something has to be done to help younger drivers who win in GP2 and thenby marcl - F1
I think if they have to run a third car they should have to run a young driver.by marcl - F1
Yeah it sounds like both teams could be out with Sauber joining them next year. The current management have now walked away from Caterham and the team is being run by Administrators.by marcl - F1
Kolles yet again involved in a complete mess. They should just shut the team down, they are never going to recover and progress there is no point limping from year to year.by marcl - F1
Had we used the orig system Bernie wanted of gold medals etc Lewis would be champ already! Nico has impressed me this year thats for sure but he has only finshed ahead in races where Lewis has either had a problem in quali or the race he has not once passed him and kept the place.by marcl - F1
The tracks coming up now really have been Lewis tracks in the past and last year when Nico was his team mate. Lewis has never had the best of luck in Brazil, well apart from the year he won the title, but hes always been fast there. The Merc engine should have a big advantage there though. I actually have a feeling it could near enough be over before the final race tbh.by marcl - F1
As expected boring race once the first few laps were over. Nico made a stupid error he should have waited. Great recovery drive however but the merc really has got a huge advantage. Not really much to add as not much happened. Lewis deserves this title nico is good but he's a good number two like dc and Rubens were.by marcl - F1
If they do bring out a SC for every yellow flag etc they better get rid of this restart rule then or it will just get stupid.by marcl - F1
The last race at Valencia was only good due to drs and tyres that lasted 2 laps. Saw the sessions this morning and this is one of the most boring tracks I have seen in a long time. Valencia had some nice corners but this just has nothing really.by marcl - F1
Merc are saying they do want to keep Lewis so not sure where you read that?by marcl - F1
Yep which is the side of Alonso I did not like. Totally respect the guy in the car but out of it he plays too many games.by marcl - F1
The latest one I read was Lewis is off to mclaren and Alonso to Merc. Tbh Alonso needs to watch himself as lets be honest he is not getting much yonger. If I was merc I would go for a young driver like Bottas than take Alonso, Dan has shown at RBR that you dont need to be a world champ to win races and be good. Also in a Merc I really do think Nico would beat Alonso. I can see Alonso noby marcl - F1

I do have to admit right now my mind is back to 1994, with the crash in Japan and then the death of an ex f1 driver I just feel something will happen this weekend. No idea how this track was ever passed safe, the walls are way to close on fast corners. Marussia have pulled their GP3 team out of the race due to budgets and there is every chance we might not see the F1 team. They were meantby marcl - F1
Not sure I am going to watch this yet as Russia is totally against my way of life. Its a race I dont think should be taking place.by marcl - F1
I know this is not really important but it sounds like they are going to keep his car empty this weekend, there was a story Rossi was going to drive but this no longer looks the case but he will take over the car for the rest of the year.by marcl - F1
Yeah they are not saying the degree at the moment, its meant to be hard to work out from what is being said. Its just a time thing now where they wait and see and keep treating him.by marcl - F1
We have lost a real talent and a driver that was getting better and better and I am sure a future Ferrari driver. If he ever does wake up there is no way he will ever be able to drive again, he will be lucky to even talk again. Its such a shame He could be one of the 10% that do recover you never know. I mean look at MS everyone wrote him off and his family claim he is recovering. Its tby marcl - F1
