Good luck in Preston. Oh, and have a nice time at Long Beach too!by cynic - Off-Topic
Yep, i'm older than Gav by a year or 7. Personally, I would go for a pad that allows separate axis for brake and accelerator. This is where a lot of pads fall down as they have two analogue sticks, but no other analogue controls. I couldn't contemplate having to use the same stick to accelerate and brake in Grand Prix Legends, as frequently, both should be in use at the same time.by cynic - Other Games
I think you've just got 'number 10' on the brain, Red Sam.by cynic - Off-Topic
I use a standard Xbox controller with a USB adaptor. It's great! It has two analogue sticks and also analogue triggers on each shoulder. It does have rumble effects, but i've never got them to work properly with GPL. They seem fine with newer games though. Prior to this I had an old Logitech Wingman gamepad which was even better, but they don't make them any more (It had aby cynic - Other Games

Hmmm. Checked the graphics card fan and that was still running, so I reseated the graphics card and the ram and all appeared fine (thanks gav)! Having said that, I only had the monitor, keyboard and mouse plugged in after reseating, so in theory, when I have everything else plugged in (USBs etc), the problem could reappear - which could suggest a power supply problem as Nick suggests.by cynic - Off-Topic
I've got a corrupt screen display. I can still read things, but the screen is littered with little blue and yellow specks. I've had a few crashes which appear to be graphics card/driver related ('n4disp', although the problem is still there in safe mode. I've also tried reverting to a system restore point, but that does not solve the problem (not that I expected it tby cynic - Off-Topic
