This is what the championships would look like if points were given out for qualifying positions, so basically under the current system if a driver makes it into Q3 they get points. Drivers Standings 1st Lewis Hamilton 410 points 1st x11 2nd x3 3rd x3 2nd Sebastian Vettel 364 points 1st x5 2nd x6 3rd x7 3rd Valtteri Bottas 306 points 1st x2 2nd x7 3rd x4 4th Kimi Räikkönen 275 points 1st xby robracer - F1
I hope Ocon gets the spare Williams seat, for the sake of himself and the team also. I know Williams have had a poor season but I think it is foolish to write them off, they usually find their way back into the mix for points following a poor season, they did so in 2012 and 2014 and I think they will be back fighting for a top 6 constructor placing at the very least next year. It would be a fineby robracer - F1
The 10 second stop-and-go penalty for Vettel was harsh because nothing bad happened, worse things have happened in past races that were punished less severely. What should have happened is that they showed this flag with a number 5 (Vettel's number) accompanying it: This is the flag for unsporting behaviour and this "incident" was a perfect example of when it should be shown. I did not think the race was boring, there was incident at the start, everyone was driving flat out, it was very competitive at the front and we got to see a new winner with Bottas under immense pressure holding off the faster Ferrari of Vettel. It was similar to the Spanish Grand Prix from last year but a lot better because they are driving harder now with the new tyres this year. The peopleby robracer - F1
Verstappen started back in 16th place, he showed good pace, made some fantastic overtaking manoeuvres and did very well to keep Ricciardo behind him in the end. He drove a great race and deserved to be on the podium, to say otherwise just because you don't like him is rather silly.by robracer - F1

From my experiences of playing GP2, GP3 and GP4, I believe that any driver that pits on the last lap of a race for whatever reason is deemed not to have completed that lap, so basically they lose 1 lap. I do not know the reason as to why this is unfortunately but I think it is the same with all the Geoff Crammond Grand Prix games, you go into the pitlane on the last lap and you lose a lap.by robracer - Grand Prix 4

They changed the regs to make the cars wider but they don't look wider, they actually look longer. They don't look attractive to me, maybe even worse than the last few years, very disappointing considering they were supposed to look more "spectacular": https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/headlines/2017/2/wolff--new-mercedes-to-look-spectacular.html Hopefully the racing willby robracer - F1
Quote2016 Formula One Sporting Regulations 27.8 Manoeuvres liable to hinder other drivers, such as deliberate crowding of a car beyond the edge of the track or any other abnormal change of direction, are not permitted. Verstappen definitely breached this regulation by cutting across Räikkönen on the straight. He will kill somebody one day if he keeps driving like this.by robracer - F1

I'd like to see Imola return, it is a beautiful place. I loved watching F1 the last few years they went there and it's a great circuit to drive around (in computer games anyway ). And now that the circuit from Rivazza to Variante Tamburello is a flat out blast there should be more chances to overtake than there were before. Monza is a bit dull in comparison, long straights with slowby robracer - F1

Closed cockpits should be considered for Indycar first and foremost because their drivers are far more likely to have to drive through airborne debris than drivers racing in F1 and therefore more likely to be struck on the head. This is because of the lack of runoff areas and greater speeds inherent in oval racing. A driver racing in F1 will usually have enough time to react and have some formby robracer - F1
