Rosberg beating Schumacher is not quite the achievement it used to be because Schumacher isn't as good as people thought he was because he is beaten by Rosberg. Okay.by tripleM - F1

Has anyone here seen a point? Knows what it looks like? Any tweaking of the point system is largely futile and any distribution can be argued. However it's very likely that the current financial incentives are for most part independent of the points system. I don't know how payments are calculated in the most recent Concorde but in 1997-2001 version 65% of the prize fund was paid outby tripleM - F1
Nope, no advantage as they set fastest laps with softsby tripleM - F1
not if it adds to the bottom line, lolby tripleM - F1
It's easy to rack up a big number of overtakes when there are 6 cars at least 3 seconds a lap slower than the rest.by tripleM - F1
everyone? happily? really? Neither Senna nor Schumacher had Brazilian or German companies become major sponsors of the teams they drove for. But Alonso apparently installed himself? Yeah, right.by tripleM - F1
Frantic Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > remember what happened to Prost... subsequent years proved him right One can only hope for Alonso's sake that there is actual substance behind the quote(?) because he doesn't even have rallying to fall back on.by tripleM - F1

Nevertheless, since the team was acquired by Mallya and Mol's Luxembourg-based vehicle, Orange India Holdings, in October 2007, it has had a track record of filing late accounts. Its 2006 and 2007 results were both delivered last year a total of 28 months late. i guess no sacks of rice have fallen over in China todayby tripleM - F1
Ok, the livery is a matter of taste (even though Brawn had an equally blank car) but what's so wrong with the name?by tripleM - F1

or maybe JVs motivation took a dive when he couldn't handle a boy band driver and the new team principal didn't have his lips firmly planted on JV's backsideby tripleM - F1

1) Of course it's about the car. Button's driving got noticed and praised when he was winning race after race after race this year. In fact Button is a fine example of a *merely* solid driver who has a championship. Heidfeld could have been in his place last year, but turned down the chance. 2) So it's acceptable under the circumstances for some drivers to lose to rookies whileby tripleM - F1
1) i never suggested anything other than the car ultimately deciding which driver is anointed as a super talent and which as an also-ran 2) at least Heidfeld didn't lose to any rookies unlike a certain world champion who still commands praise on this board 3) Kubica led the championship after race 7 and put together a very impressive season until BMW decided to pull the plug on itby tripleM - F1
do you see any so called super talents available and while Heidfeld may not be a super talent (in reality never having a good enough car) he sure held his own against both super talents and WDC contendersby tripleM - F1
i think it's great that the suits over at Stuttgart are not wanting to interfere in the day-to-day running of the teamby tripleM - F1

Blow away in the sense that the season turned out to be *a lot* tougher than Alonso expected? Maybe. He was also superbly prepared which is very much a plus. Trouble is we only get me,me,me! from Hamilton without acknowledging´anyone else. Blowing away in the final standings? Hell no. And speak for yourself, you won't find me being blown away by Hamilton's 2007 performance.by tripleM - F1
