Webber has confirmed that Red Bull will be running an F-duct during practice to evaluate its performance. Red Bull to run F-duct In more important news, Vettel has christened his new chassis "Randy Mandy".by MrMan - F1

Apparently Ron Dennis implied that Red Bull may have a small fuel tank and thus had to conserve fuel in Bahrain leading to Vettel backing off. This despite the fact that Webber had no problems whatsoever and that the car was misfiring. Horner rubbishes fuel consumption concerns On the subject of fuel tanks, Virgin have admitted that their fuel tank is too small and they can't realisticby MrMan - F1
Have a look on MyP2P closer to the date, it'll have a list of the different sources broadcasting it.by MrMan - F1
Just to add to what Rocker posted and provide a different angle entirely, the Beeb is led to believe that USF1 is on the verge of collapse. If they really are two months behind, how come its taken them this long to enquire about missing four races? I would say hand the place over to StefanGP, but they're not even race ready yet either.by MrMan - F1
Despite the reliability problems, the Red Bull's have still been able to get a good few laps in, today and yesterday. Although the frequency of the problems is worrying, none of them seem too serious. Impressed with the pace of the STR over a long distance with heavy fuel, bit of a dark horse maybe?by MrMan - F1
That's a joke. I'd like USF1 to be able to compete, but if they think missing four races is reasonable they must be smoking some funky stuff. If StefanGP are really as prepared as they seem, give them USF1's spot.by MrMan - F1

What engines would Stefan GP use? Toyota or Cossie's? Don't think I've read what engines they'd use anywhere. Edit - I might be having a blonde moment and the answer is that they'd use Toyota engines, but that's quite a big commitment by Toyota and one I'm sure they'd rather not make.by MrMan - F1
marcl Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Yeah ok not a massive problem in a test but in a > race thats it game over and this happened a lot > last year. It was down to the engine alot last year, so hopefully the Renault will prove more reliable this time around. RBR always seem to have mechanical problems with every car, more so than most.by MrMan - F1

It didn't seem like it was a massive problem given that they were back out on track not long after. Haven't all the mechanical problems so far been with Webber's car? Vettel's had a clean bill of health I think.by MrMan - F1
Its turning into a bit of a farce this whole USF1/Campos situation. The FIA in their ultimate wisdom have chosen two teams who seemingly won't make it. There must have been some warning signs as to how firm the financial backing was for the two teams when the FIA made their decision? If the teams fail to turn up at Bahrain, what would then happen? If they don't turn up then they areby MrMan - F1
Nice to see RBR showing a bit of pace, hopefully there'll be at least one proper dry day for this test. Surprised Lotus managed as many laps as they have done, up and running quicker than Virgin were on their first day. Better conditions though I suppose.by MrMan - F1
Yeah, I know the costs would have been astronomical but I'm surprised that all the tests have been (and will be) conducted in Spain. A wider variety of circuits would surely help the development of the cars for the teams? But I suppose the FIA knows best...by MrMan - F1
Thought they'd have a circuit on standby for testing if indeed the weather does turn out to be as bad as is being reported. Didn't Bahrain say they were preparing for the cars just in case they needed to test there?by MrMan - F1

RBR's diffuser looks a fairly simple one from the picture I've seen, but then again I'm no expert so I could be talking complete bull. Hopefully the rain holds off for tomorrow so they can get a decent run out.by MrMan - F1
Webber laying down his HANS device and Helmet in front of the diffuser on purpose, or am I just assuming way too much?by MrMan - F1
Rain could hit Jerez test days That would suck if it did rain for four days, buggering up RBR's, Force India's and Virgin's first tests. Suppose its part of the risk you run by missing the first test.by MrMan - F1
Stefan GP Ship Out They're apparently shipping out all their equipment just in case Campos don't make it. They've also arranged for a test in Portimao at the end of Feb. It'll be interesting to see if they are allowed to enter if Campos can't make it. Bruno Senna to move over to Stefan GP then?by MrMan - F1
Horner has said that the RB6 is very much an evolution of the RB5, which is why they took the decision to skip the first test next week. The TR5 has also had some "leaked" promo shots, but none that give anything away really.by MrMan - F1
I'd have to agree with Chet on the fact that it is a bit of a coup for Lotus to bag Heiki and Trulli. But they're by no means top drivers, possibly two of the most inconsistent drivers on the grid.by MrMan - F1

The idea of an all British line up would be tempting for McLaren, also Button would come far cheaper than Kimi. Although having said that, would Merc be able to "persuade" McLaren to take on Heidfeld?by MrMan - F1

Suppose Williams don't have too much to lose, the Cosworth deal is probably considerably cheaper than what they're currently paying Toyota and they'll able to get rid of Nakajima (If indeed he is there because of Toyota). Still hoping Mclaren let the RBR - Merc deal go ahead. Anyone know how long Force India's contract is with Merc?by MrMan - F1
Red Bull have confirmed that Cosworth power is definitely an option for them. The article suggests that Merc power isn't an option as McLaren has vetoed the move.by MrMan - F1
Thought they were going to have problems with the fuel consumption though? Unless of course the power advantage is so much that it negates the disadvantage of carrying a larger fuel tank. Edit - Problems as in the fuel consumption will be higher than the other engines, think I read that somewhere.by MrMan - F1
