Off-Topic Notts County are the oldest professional club in the world, Sheffield FC are the oldest club. And Queen's Park is the oldest club in Scotland, and were runner's up in the English FA Cup in 1884 and 1885.
And QPR aren't that small a club - they're one of the bigger 2nd Division (Championship) clubs in England and until the last couple of years were challenging for promotion

I know, I remember both Alonso and Raikonnen doing it as well, I was just pointing out one example where a driver has possibly scored more points than he maybe should have.

F1 Still, he didn't win as many BRC titles as his old man....
Seriously though, the guy did hold the record for most WRC wins at one point, and is still 4th on the most rallies won list. 4th youngest WRC rally winner, youngest ever WRC champion. 8th most stage wins, 7th most points. And most of his career spent in what was, as Dave points out, an unreliable Ford.
However, it was for his

Other Sports Paul Ricard is fine for testing - but the idea of an F1 race there now-a-days leaves me very cold. Lewis should have a) beached in the gravel, b) hit the wall or c) somehow got back through the gravel to get back on. As it is, he made a mistake and there was no punishment. Forgive me if I'm wrong but hasn't he already done that a few times this season already - going off in places wher

Off-Topic I agree as well, and also, surely more retirements would make for more exciting championships - one or two mistakes by a driver who was running away with the title would be pegged back, when the reliability these days would mean there was little chance of him being forced out by a broken car. Also, it would mean the drivers with the bigger bollocks would gain an advantage by being able to push ha

Paffett does deserve an F1 seat in IMHO, but surely McLaren can't gamble on giving him the race seat alongside a still inexperienced Hamilton?

F1 No, that was Jim Clark or Stirling Moss....
Seriously though, I think of recent rally drivers to try track racing, he was the fastest and most consistent, and probably the only one that could have succeeded in almost anything he wanted to try.

F1 Just out of interest, here's how the points table would look with the various different points schemes in F1 history, and with a dropped scores system as well
1950-59 Point Table - 8,6,4,3,2 FL: 1
1 F Alonso 72 U1
2 L Hamilton 72 D1
3 K Raikkonen 66 NC
4 F Massa 58 NC
5 N Heidfeld 29 NC
6 R Kubica 15 NC
7 A Wurz 7 U3
8 G Fisichella 5 NC
9 H Kovalainen 5 D2
10 M Webber 4 U1

F1 Dropped results were in place originally to mean teams and drivers didn't have to go to every WC race - they could race at other GP's/events on the same weekend and not take too big a hit. However, it's use in the 1980's was to reward the quickest drivers rather than the most consistent - you could afford some bad races and DNF's, because you knew you could discount those
