Which is something that obviously the US and UK governments have of course NEVER been involved in. Not to defend FARC in any way, but for the US and EU to label them as terroris

Off-Topic YES!!!!!!!!! First podium. Get in there. Unfortunate for Paco, seems that he's had all the bad luck so far this year - but now we've seen how much pace the car has, hopefully we can push on and maybe win a race this year.

Other Sports Over the semantics of the name, when was the last time the race started in Paris? And yet it's still the Paris-Dakar. So not finishing in Senegal is a minor price to pay. I'd expect Schlesser to be fine, it's the privateers who don't enter the other RR events throughout the year that'll struggle IMHO - which makes up a large number of the entrants (abit like in the good o

Off-Topic I don't understand how people don't get that this is exactly the same as 1994 - back then we hadn't had a driver fatality at a race for 12 years (in practice for 8?) - and people said we'd become as safe as ever. Now we haven't had a driver death for 14 ears - the same arguments are coming out - i.e. that we're as safe as ever. The reason there hasn't been a dea

Off-Topic Neil, I know the teams don't give a @#$%&, but the TWG research into how to stop it has been using the teams wind tunnels. If the teams wind tunnel time is limited, than they'll hire out the tunnels to private companies rather than allowing the TWG to use them - meaning that the TWG research will stop and we'll see little progress on the issue. Also, teams are always trying to adap

Off-Topic - No more than one model to be tested during a run.
Not good. All this work into creating cars with less dirty air and thus creating overtaking oppurtunities will die if they can't test two cars in the same tunnel.
Other than that the regs look quite good but with one problem. How are they implemented?

F1 Newcastle buses are better than Durham ones Gav - at least the drivers have heard of the places they're meant to go and don't just stare blankly at any other destination than 'the bus station'. Although saying that, I did get a bus in Newcastle a couple of weeks ago where the driver didn't appear to know which side of the Tyne South Shields was...

F1 IIRC the only person who retired after Luca was JV - who I believe was in 5th or 6th at the time - but definitely behind Luca. So he may not have gained any places, but 4th was certainly looking likely.
And I'd forgotten the flip at Buenos Aires:
