I find GP3 Track Editor hard, but I havent really sat down to properly look at it.by Ferrari_Fuhrer - Grand Prix 3
Was that really 5 years ago? Time flies, I can remember it as though it was a few months back. Hard to believe it's been that long.by Ferrari_Fuhrer - Off-Topic
Actually, I think I change my mind. An incumbent President should be re-elected on his performance in his first term in office, not on what he might do if he does what one thinks he might. So Kerry it is. But I'm no flipflopper!by Ferrari_Fuhrer - Off-Topic
I am no fan of George Bush or John Kerry. However, I think they are both better than Ralph Nader... So, Bush or Kerry? Kerry or Bush? I've been very anti-Bush since the stolen election, and I wouldn;t be sad to see the back of him, but: 1) Would Kerry actually be any better, even if he is left leaning? 2) Kerry does seem a little too liberal for my liking. I think it is an electionby Ferrari_Fuhrer - Off-Topic
Six Degrees, can you help me with my trial and error a little? I've created a new piece of track in the .bin file, and altered the bit in the .dat + .gp4 combined view, but it doesn't appear in the game. Is that what you did, or do you do something else as well? I just altered the vertexes, and put a texture on. Am I on the right lines?by Ferrari_Fuhrer - Grand Prix 4
Team specific revmeters? I didn't know you could do that.by Ferrari_Fuhrer - Grand Prix 4
Yeah, maybe, although my last screenshots were using default GP4 cars, apart from the Ferrari.by Ferrari_Fuhrer - Grand Prix 4
208 MPH? No...you do more than 220 MPH at Hockenheim with the defualt setup.by Ferrari_Fuhrer - Grand Prix 3
I have to say, using win 98 compatibility mode for GP3 has always served me well. I can't remember it CTD on me with compatibility mode in operation. Maybe I'm just a lucky git.by Ferrari_Fuhrer - Grand Prix 3
There's a file in the car.wad called 'cockpit damage', or called something along those lines. I am assuming that is what it is for, and that it has accidentally been deleted or something. I could be wrong, but I'll check with GP4 Master.by Ferrari_Fuhrer - Grand Prix 4
I would, but they're in the office. I'll send them tomorrow if I can.by Ferrari_Fuhrer - Grand Prix 4
Thanks for the help Laurent, don't worry about my confusing question, it was just me rambling, you've kind of answered the question for me anyway. I just need to hide them, I'll read the manual for that. Oh, and thank you for correcting me about the track properties.by Ferrari_Fuhrer - Grand Prix 4
Ok. I'm trying to edit Magny Cours...I can change the properties of things like gravel at the last corner to tarmac easily enough, so I could change the corner, but I can't delete any of the objects. I can remove the textures, but I can't open my eyes wide enough to work out where to delete the whole texture! Also, am I right in thinking that you are unable to change the propertiesby Ferrari_Fuhrer - Grand Prix 4
Hmm....one thing I have learnt is never to pause the game whilst the pit crew are working on the car. That usually results in them freezing. Oh. sorry I haven't sent you the file, when I was in the office earlier I remembered that I was meant to send you a file, but I couldn't remember quite what, and I'm not able to go back to the office to retrieve it tonight, as I am lookingby Ferrari_Fuhrer - Grand Prix 4
I think sometimes wqe just need to stop and think about the work that Lo2k has put in to GP4, and how much better the game is for his contribution. It's important to appreciate properly the effort he has put in, and sat thank you occasionally. So...thanks.by Ferrari_Fuhrer - Grand Prix 4
I would do, but it's on my personal computer, which is in the office a couple of minutes down the road, and its a bit late to retrieve it. I'm happy to send it to you tomorrow though.by Ferrari_Fuhrer - Grand Prix 4
Wirah, I've been mucking around with my settings, as I had the Renault appearing perfectly clear on one installation, but with a blurry nosecone on another. I found that putting the anisotropic filtering up to 2x on my graphics card helped, and it shouldn't give you a big PO hit. I also reduced the mipmap bias from 92 to 85, and this makes the textures sharper. Hope this is of use.by Ferrari_Fuhrer - Grand Prix 4
Oh yeah, and there's a bit of trouble at the first turn at Imola... A 22 car pile-up at the start of the race - just what the doctor ordered! And it wasn't even my fault...by Ferrari_Fuhrer - Grand Prix 4
Barrichello shows he can at least do one thing better than MS... ...and Ron Dennis implements a second team in an attempt to win at Monzaby Ferrari_Fuhrer - Grand Prix 4
Yeah, well, you can usually do that without any damage to your car, but I had a bit of trouble from behind today. I was driving as MS at Imola, going into the first right at Aqua Minerali, and BANG! RB comes straight into, knocking me spinning straight into retirement on lap 2, spinning himself in the process. I was not amused to leave the circuit quite that early in the day!by Ferrari_Fuhrer - Grand Prix 4
Absolutely! Why use the second best thing for the job when you can use something better?by Ferrari_Fuhrer - Grand Prix 4
Personally, I'd like to go back to slick tyres, and one supplier.by Ferrari_Fuhrer - F1
It was mentioned in the commentary for the race. As far as I know Sauber are allowed the same spec tyres as the Ferrari. But as Peter Sauber pointed out, even with the same tyres as the Ferrari, they can't get nearly as much out of the them as a) The tyres are basically geared towards the Ferrari; b) Teams like Sauber and Minardi don't do that much testing, and so can't get aby Ferrari_Fuhrer - F1
I love GP4. I know we can't edit tracks (yet), but it's still brilliant. I did get a little bored with it for a while, playing on the same old tracks, but once I'd changed to playing GP3 for a while, I found that actually GP4 just felt so much better, and the other tracks on GP3 could be worn out just as quickly. Thus, I decided, the best way not to get bored of GP4 was just toby Ferrari_Fuhrer - Grand Prix 4
I'm sorry, I can't agree with David Coulthard, Vader. Look at the cars he's had - especially 1998. Yeah, Hakkinen was on fire, but IMO Coulthard should have done better than he has done, I wouldn't say that he's been particualrly unlucky. Or have I read you wrong?by Ferrari_Fuhrer - F1
Lol, ok then. I must say, my performance does seem to be a little all over the place, but I did install a 2.8Ghz processor and new motherboard and RAM this week, so it's a little hard to judge.by Ferrari_Fuhrer - Off-Topic
I really don't like Bush, and so I really would like to see Kerry win. However, I don't really think Kerry will be that much better, nor do I particularly like him. Alas, it shall probably be in vain, as I think Bush will win the election.by Ferrari_Fuhrer - Off-Topic
I was just wondering...I have a GeForce MX-440, and am gradually overclocking it...thus I was wondering, to all those with GeForce 4 cards, or the like, how high you have got the clock speeds on the cards. I think the default on my card is 250Mhz / 332Mhz (Clock / RAM respectively), and I have got it up to 275 / 350. Has anyone got much higher with a stable system? Thanks.
