It's an option in the race options screen, realistic or custom, you can set the percentage chance of rain. Or, even better, slow them down in the wet, here's how...

I had this a while ago. Microsoft have an unbelievably stupid win 7 program that looks for game related art and information, it runs gameux.dll which you can't delete. However, when it fails to find it for GP4 after you have launched it, it runs an infinite loop using the whole CPU! There is a fix, but it's a batch command you have to run, I'll have a look... Soutsen alt tab out of game, and go to task manager, do you have a run32.dll taking up one core completely?

I've been testing and creating 1997 physics files, trying to improve the car handling, progressive, saveable tyre slip etc. I'll release what I have done soon, I'm delighted with the results. txema, You just have to open the .dat, the option is in there. Select Initial sector- Show magic data, scroll down, it´s 65 AI errors. You reduce the value, 64 in this case, then save your dat. upload

If you look at Soutsen's post, click on initial sector, show magic data, AI errors. You can put a number as low as you want, they will make less errors, and so less accidents..

Thanks Tom! How can I put this.. the physics I use are rather radical, because GP4 for all its plus points (which have kept me playing it consistently 12 years now) does not have particularly good physics or a good tyre model by today´s standards. There are next to no threads on the tyre model, or tyre curve, anywhere. So rather than put in realistic numbers and expect something that feels
