Other Motorsports yep it's possible & a lot more easier today....you need 3dsimed......try the demo.........zmod1....
after you have opened your track in 3dsimed.....hopefully the files aren't encrypted....if yes google that issue....
export all objects to a new folder as f1 2001 or challenge .mts file i think it was.....then export the textures to the same folder.....

you forgot to list in the credits that the external steering wheel is made by IDT simulations.....permission was given to myself & lee71 a few years ago to use it in the champcar mods we made.....it was ya ya that converted it to gp4 for us & did the tedious work.....

Grand Prix 4 after seeing your car with front lights i had this idea
could you create a small plane in max or builder....place it in front of the car..merge it with whatever car part you named the headlights as....
then apply a full transparent texture with say a soft yellow colour but use the alpha layer to shape the headlights beams like the textures for trees do ?

Grand Prix 4 upon checking oulton park does have bank description commands ...it uses them at the beginning & ends of pitlane to have a 3ds surface ie sides of pitlane in this case & the pit box area does have description commands as well....
you are mistaken i think......

Grand Prix 4 if you look at for example default melbourne .dat file you will see it has no bank description commands on most of the entry sectors & same for exit....there are commands there at pitlane like in for example the albacete dat file..
the reason i used no bank description commands on albacete is simple i didn't need to generate a 3d surface.this was covered by the tracks description com

Grand Prix 4 always narrow down the error margin......is it dat or wad........
use a default dat & try it with your wad.....if it loads it's the dat file & visa versa...
this case it's the dat file......
your flag commands may be in the right order but they were not in the right places.....also make sure the pitlane where it connects to the tracks actually does this....i.e not ab

Grand Prix 4 probadly the best mod to port into gp4 indycar wise would be from Michael Peters..you should give him a shout and ask his persmission to convert his fine work to gp4....
tracks are another kettle of fish,..ovals are a bastard to make correctly & tbh you would really need to set up a small mod team to share the work load to build the tracks as it's way too time consuming for a single per
