F1 The thing that annoys me most of all is that Piquet is still free to drive... with all of his dad's money, it is possible he will be back.

F1 Dave is right on the principle.
Look at all the Social Worker/child protection scandal we have in the UK from time to time. Some kid dies or is injured because a social worker, or a social worker team are perceived to not do their job properly.
It is not enough for the Council involved to sack the social worker and carry on as if nothing happened. The organisation has responsibility for the

F1 So, should the FIA be given the power to investigate in cases like this? They said they couldn't act until Piquet came out with a statement, but he could only do that with immunity... so should the stewards be able to seize telemetry at the time of an incident?
Or does that make the FIA even more of a dangerous body than they are already?

F1 >Just read that Alonso is being called to answer questions about Flavio's management. Some drivers claim they were >only allowed to drive for Renault is they sign to his management company.
This is a point that has been raised a few times over the years - an important one too, because anywhere else in the world it would constitute a major conflict of interest, or discrimination agai

In that sense, I would say he failed successfully.

Off-Topic Completely unacceptable by Briatore and Symonds. Right they they have lost their jobs, and Renault do deserve a punishment too.
However, the Piquets have shown themselves to be nothing more than seeking revenge. If they had any principles, he would have walked away from the team the second they asked him to cheat. Then teams might have considered him to be principled and maybe given him a chan

F1 Alonso still hasn't been confirmed at Ferrari for 2010 - some say it might be 2011 before there is a space for him.
So if Renault get banned over the race-fixing stuff, where does he go next year?

F1 Why noone ever picked up on the fact that the murders always happened where SHE was, I will never know!
She is the one committing them all - decades of innocent people were locked up by the murderous Jessica Fletcher

F1 Great race for Rubens - and a great win.
Badoer was unfortunately very bad. But who instead? Would Gene be much better??
DC implied in his BBC column that he would take the drive if asked...

Off-Topic Luca Badoer fully deserves the seat, given the service he has given to Ferrari over the years.
Shame about Schumacher, but they were honest from the start about the neck problems.

Off-Topic Top Gear is still a great show, but it is in danger of becoming a parody of itself. I personally thought the ending was self-indulgant, especially the rubbish Clarkson was spouting about cars disapperaing and wotnot.
Was also clearly designed to make people fret over whether or not TG would return.
The only brilliant bit from the last series was the race to Edinburgh. Some sections were too
