there is something i wanted to ask since years. in the gp3 series at least, you can see only the front face of the fences+extentions, but if you switch to any camera that is not the steering wheel visual, press ESC and immediately return back to track you suddenly see the front texture being mapped on the back face to just disappear as you return to the S-W visual. is there anything triggering thby R_Scandura - Grand Prix 3

i right now noticed something unexpected when working on an early stage WIP. After i started making the scenary at some point the game freezes. I usually load the saved game and move the car ahead and back in the area to see where the ribbons fall. after some loadings and some manouvres it suddenly freezes from any T-cam and from onboard. if the games loads fine but crashes when lapping even in free practice what comes to mind is about jam id. i remember a couple of jam id are allocated differently in both games. you can try to clean the folders related to those tracks and then put jams in groups and see which one makes the game crash. otherwise the other alternatives are the far sights commands that should be removed ALL, theby R_Scandura - Grand Prix 3
not fully sure about but you can try to open the 83 carhape and export the CFT to a file. It should contain only the car body. Then import all from Gp3 and load this CTF, then export again all to Gp3. First of all try to use the cockpit editor. it has the default steering set as you open it, so just export to patch back the game then do the part above. I didn't used many kerb profile commands in that track, but i remember in another track at some point it crashed and the log assertion talked about the too many kerb profiles. The same happened with the texture mapping, at some point it crashed everytime i added just one more command. So i figured that all commands may have some container limit. i made a quick test with a 8,7 km track (9.3 km including pit) it works brilliantly with the 10 km limit but as expected the entire track must be contained inside the world extent of the editor in the first case it loaded without debug mode. in the second case i had to use the debug mode and the assert said: 0x0048bd1d -> Some segment related length >= 0xf000. 0x0048bd1d -> Sby R_Scandura - Grand Prix 3

hi, i finally finished to update this track to the final version sort of as i intended originally. Unfortunaltely It works only for Gp3 2000 as it looks like I have no way to reduce it. Adjusted the graphics around the track and altered a little the layout in the first and last corner. The last chicane is a little slower now on the exit than the entrance while in the first corner there are no loby R_Scandura - Grand Prix 3
