hi folks hoping to get it uploaded before xmas, it's been difficult, 3 rebuilds just to get it to fit under the gp32k track limit, can't see this being pruned down for gp3 users, 195k near the limit, so it's gp32k only. all tracks are being updated but it's a slow process, all magic is being reprogrammed to solve the problem of low grip cars being a bit too difficulby belini - Grand Prix 3

le_jaguar_2004 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I've tested 0 & 1, I still have this problem :/ it's the graphics card, the 8600 is a directx 10 card, the only fix is to run a directx 9 card, there's a list posted of cards that work. pkby belini - Grand Prix 3
9000 ; cc shuffler??? is an old description that I used as it was very early days in trying to understand the magic, it's still a bit unclear what it does but it's more likely to be a value that increases the random grip factor for the ai for both race and qualifying. the belini tracks solve the tyre problem as long as you use the grip patch, gp32k only. pkby belini - Grand Prix 3
sounds like the 2x2 desc in tha magic (desc73 gp32k), this command keeps the ai side by side for the amount of sectors entered in the desc, it's used to stop the ai from causing too many shunts at the start of races, try reducing to zero. pkby belini - Grand Prix 3

calculating fuel consumption has nothing to do with engine power but more down to how much throttle is used and grip. fuel consumption is linked to the values used in fuel 1 and 2, the reason belini tracks use a higher fuel value is because I use higher values in fuel 1/2 which help simulate faster lap times as the fuel load lightens. sadly you can't use this method without theby belini - Grand Prix 3
just checked my tyres software bitmaps are at 72, I think I imported the palette from the original bitmaps hardware bitmaps are 640 for wheels and 480 for tread don't touch these with gp3edit as it'll revert them back to 72 use gpxpatch for assigning tyres pkby belini - Grand Prix 3

it's because the tyre bitmaps have probably been through gp3edit at some time which converts them to 72 pixels per inch load them into a paint program and convert to 640 ppi, this should solve the problem. pkby belini - Grand Prix 3
you do need the gp3 disk to do a proper install, it's just used for checking that you have the original gp3 cd. pkby belini - Grand Prix 3

if there's anyone out there using a directx 10 enabled ATI Radeon card please post if it works, otherwise these are the fastest cards that run gp3/2k with xp2. I've recently uploaded all tracks v7.5 you'll find everything you need in these versions, please remember to install all tracks from the rar so you don't have missing jams, ie: melbourne 2007 jams from track versions 2006/2003 and 2002.by belini - Grand Prix 3
gp3 relies on CPU power, updating the graphics won't make much difference unless you go too modern, which makes it slower. for belini tracks runnig a low PO yoe need at least a single core intel 2.4 or AMD 3.4 for a low PO, dual core CPU 2.4 see graphics card thread:by belini - Grand Prix 3
