Forecast's unchanged, local people in Malaysia proclaiming elsewhere that they'd consider rain "almost certain" one at least one, if not both, of Saturday and Sunday since it's been that way for the last 3 weeks! Official forecast also advises teams to prepare for thunderstorms - though there's a chance that the storms might come later in the evening, there were sby mr_maniac - F1

Above is the official Malaysian government forecast for Sepang this week, including the race weekend - also this appears to correlate with every forecast I've seen in my quick search of the available websites.. Could make it fun...?! :D :D :D mr_mby mr_maniac - F1
Inexplicably, after years of successful GP3 gaming, my Logitech WingMan Formula Force GP steering wheel has decided not to function correctly i.e the force feedback is not working in GP3 any more, despite all the correct settings being turned on. It works fine in regular Windows, but when it switches into GP3 the force feedback disappears, only turning back on when you exit the game in frustraby mr_maniac - Grand Prix 3

I, like many of you, run Windows XP and so cannot run the Hot Laps that I used to save after a good lap on GP3! A few months ago, however, I found a nice way around it, the GP3 Instant Replay function that allowed you to play back the last lap that took place in your particular Grand Prix. I stumbled across it by accident I think, but was rather pleased with my discovery! However, I have foby mr_maniac - Grand Prix 3

Drafi, you are an absolute star to be honest.. I play this game at home and often my little brother sits along side me to watch, and he's amazed to see all the cars and drivers have been updated, even when the race has barely finished!! It makes his day and it's great for me, too.. Combined with GPXPatch, it's incredible how close to the real thing GP3 is with all these cleveby mr_maniac - Grand Prix 3
Hi Any news on the pitlane problem? I downloaded and installed the track an hour or two ago from this site and indeed, the cars even in qualifying are parked all over the place! A bit of a problem to say the least!! hehe... mr_mby mr_maniac - Grand Prix 3
Your problem is a common one with GP3 users, including myself, but unfortunately there's no cure available for it! The trouble is that the game is now 8 years old and the programmers stopped work on it a long time ago. This means the game is no longer available readily in shops so there's no incentive for anyone to try and fix the issue. Also, sadly there are usually some difficultieby mr_maniac - Grand Prix 3
I'm after a 2006 soundset that actually does sound like a 2006 F1 car both inside and out of the cockpit. Believe me, I've tried many of the ones on this and other sites, but always wanted something more realistic. Some have been really poor! I have a wav file of a 2006 Renault's on-board cam sounds, which could be useful. It covers a full lap of the Nurburgring and therefore hby mr_maniac - Grand Prix 3
Hi, Watched the race, started at 6am UK time. Big thanks go to ITV for cutting away from the big moment of the race (Schumi's blow up) **just as it happened**. I dunno if I was the only one to catch it, but just before they cut to the ad break, the camera was following Alonso through turn 7 of the lap where the Ferrari let go. The camera sorta panned forward and I could see a car, in theby mr_maniac - F1
How do you do it? The weekend has barely started!! You've kept it up all year and I'm sure i'm not the only one who is thankful! Incredible, thank you! mr_mby mr_maniac - Grand Prix 3

Hi, Over the past few months I hve done a lot of editing and tweaking to GP3, including the sounds. However I've basically messed the sounds up and i've gone and lost the original soundset. I'd appreciate it if someone could show me how to get it back? Upload a copy or gimme a link Also, any sign of 2006 realistic engine sounds for GP3? mr_mby mr_maniac - Grand Prix 3
In case you were wondering, I managed to hit that 565mph on the game by tweaking the GP3 Advanced Physics Editor a little... * Sent the mass of the car right down to about 150kg to enable maximum speed and acceleration through corners * Tweaked revs up to 19500 (I've moved it back down to the default since my "speed record" because I didn't like the engine sound much) * Hby mr_maniac - Grand Prix 3
An update on this thread from me - my official top speed was achieved (in 1st gear!) at Avus and it was... no joke.... 565mph!!!! The car appeared to take off beyond this speed but the car was capable of more than 600 as it was still accelerating rapidly. This only happened because I stayed in 1st gear. What was actually happening was that, as I moved up the gears, I actually lost speed and thby mr_maniac - Grand Prix 3
Hello everyone, my first post for a while.. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A few of you may remember a while back, when I made up an "alternative" Formula One theme tune for ITV's F1 Coverage. In case you don't, or weren't there at the time, the link is below. The video that goes with it is perhaps more impressive tby mr_maniac - F1
Thanks diax - It was such an exciting challenge and quite a thrill to be able to drive that car so fast on such a difficult circuit! I really did feel like I was putting in extra effort to throw the car round the corners - I was quite impressed with my results! Bigears, I perhaps ought to have mentioned that it was your original track that Tom edited, so I will now! Big thumbs-up to you for dby mr_maniac - Grand Prix 3
Oh, the joys of racing on Tom Stuhrmann's Nordschleife circuit (released 8 Jan 06)! I've just enjoyed two remarkable races at the circuit, and found them so compelling I have felt obliged to make a (rare) post on here so I could share the joy of them with you guys. First race - 26 laps, me in my fictional Porsche F1, as the fictitious Spaniard Javier Marcellan (cool name, huh?). Iby mr_maniac - Grand Prix 3
...which is why i felt my choice of track was a good one! Honestly, how many of you have heard of "Focus"..?by mr_maniac - F1
My final speed before giving up editing was 276mph, flat out, at Avus. However, some problems meant I am now going to cease my quest to go faster... 1) At this speed, combined with no front/rear wing, the planks under the car were really dragging along the ground badly (red lights on dash), meaning that one slight jerk or movement from the driver sent the car barrel-rolling down the straightby mr_maniac - Grand Prix 3
Nick - the sound editing program was Nero Wave Editor, which surprised me a little because it was easy to use, so easy infact that a guy who hasn't even reached 15 years of age could use it to create something half-decent! Thanks for the comments and compliments everyone, I quite agree with the points raised and thank you for bringing them up. Everyone else - Please, if you haven'by mr_maniac - F1
Ah, I won't need it emailed, its great as it is! I've already saved it on the laptop so everythings ok here.. thanks again! If you haven't yet heard the track, seen the video, or made a comment, please do so! mr_mby mr_maniac - F1
Nick.. I cannot thank you enough, that video is superb and it was just what I had visualised for the tune.. Top work, just what I was looking for, thanks! From where did you download a file that was almost exactly the right length and sequence for my track? At first I really thought you had made it! If you havent looked at nicks video, you should.. mr_mby mr_maniac - F1
Nice one.. orpheus is, as i said, a good choice Thanks to everyone whos commented so far, keep them coming! mr_mby mr_maniac - F1
Cheers dan, I understand what you're saying, don't worry.. I guess it's a little snookery but I reckoned it was a bit more, for want of a better adjective, exciting than snooker in general, and therefore wouldn't say it was completely a good theme for snooker I agree that the "Orpheus" guitar bridge would make a decent opener too.. mr_mby mr_maniac - F1
I have some decent PES goals (well i had a lot more but i deleted all the ones over a month old). However, the majority are by created players, for a created PES team (Dorchester Town).. How do you get the replays from memory card (or otherwise) onto a computer?by mr_maniac - Off-Topic
