There is a framerate editor in the download section but I haven't used it. I agree with David Ballard, 26 fps is perfectly adequate. I've never noticed any flickering at that setting.by ralph - Grand Prix 3
Check the 'GP2 physics editor review by real F3 racer' thread and feel free to add any observations of your own.by ralph - Grand Prix 3
If you guys fancy putting together a set of 2002 phyics files to use in conjunction with RH's 2002 cars for gp3 2000 that would be brilliant. Any further observations would be welcome, I've often wondered what actual racing drivers would make of the game.by ralph - Grand Prix 3
I had a problem with my ms ff wheel & GP3 2k. The wheel pulled left and right and generally misbehaved (particularly at low speeds). It turned out to be a physics file problem. I replaced the default file with the 2001 ferrari file which comes with APE and everything was tickety-boo. I'm using RH's 2002 carset now and there's no problem there either. Hope that helps.by ralph - Grand Prix 3
I wasn't expecting anyone to undertake any industrial espionage but RH's 2002 cars use more than a lap's worth of fuel for each tour of the circuit. Trial and error (lowering by aprox. 2500 in the case of San Marino) gives you a decent aproximate figure to enter into the magicdata but as a parent I plead lack of time to really nail it down. Someone out there in GP3 land must'by ralph - Grand Prix 3
Does anyone have a definitive set of fuel consumption figures for the tracks raced so far this season to use in conjunction with RH's 2002 carset?by ralph - Grand Prix 3
Why has the 2000 season add-on have 34 dat files in the circuits folder? Do Ricardo Lamperts updated tracks contain the correct fuel consumption data for Ralph Hummerich's 2002 carset?by ralph - Grand Prix 3
You can pre-order it at gameplay.com for £24.99 (free UK delivery) and they'll chuck in a free copy of gp2 (which seems a little odd to me but there you go).by ralph - Grand Prix 3
And for any of the other circuits too please!by ralph - Grand Prix 3
I'm looking for a photo of barichello's pitboard being hung out over the wall for him (with as few laps to go as possible) at the A1 Ring. Has anybody seen one or know where the best place to find it might be?by ralph - Grand Prix 3
Make sure you've got the scheme set to 'none' . Also it sulks sometimes if you've got any other joysticks/controllers plugged in/configured.by ralph - Grand Prix 3
So the fuel consumption is set in each tracks magicdata rather than the carset is it? Makes sense I suppose. I was hoping not to have to mess about with magicdata - is it idiot proof?by ralph - Grand Prix 3
Having installed Ralph Hummerich's superb 2002 carset my fuel consumption seems to have risen to use 1.1 laps worth of fuel per lap. I think it's started doing with the original carset too (but I've forgotten exactly what I have and haven't tested now!). Got any solutions? I don't want to be starting from the back of the grid because of fuel irregularities!by ralph - Grand Prix 3
I have a ms forcefeedback wheel and apart from having to change the physics file in GP3-2000 I've had no problems. I thoroughly recommend CMR2 as well if you're buying a force feedback wheel (and if you're buying a wheel it's worth the extra money for force feedback). Whether it makes playing easier I don't know but it's certainly more fun! Everyone has thier owby ralph - Grand Prix 3
No real surprise that it was worth the wait. But I read on emac's site that it doesn't cater for 2002 track order (and suggests that gpxpatch shouldn't be used to change them) and doesn't remember user driver names. Is this a minor detail or an issue? I've probably answered my own question though because I'm just off to download it now!by ralph - Grand Prix 3

34 later this month. And if you call us immature again I'm gonna scream and scream and scream until I'm sick!by ralph - Grand Prix 3
I'm 34 later this month. Meanwhile back in the cockpit and without your Jedi mind trick, I have had to save on lap 40. I'm in 8th having made my single stop. You should take the plunge and move up to ace. Until three weeks ago I was driving rookie level with automatic gears and throttle help. Vader advised me to be brave and I took his advice. There's no room for any big scarby ralph - Grand Prix 3
I didn't think to look at his dk. Forgive me for I am old.by ralph - Grand Prix 3
Morbid, I may have made an incorrect assumption. Your mention of public school automatically led me to think you were English. It occurs to me now that I could have been making a complete arse of myself by suggesting Vader translate your prose into German as you could be too. With this being a multinational/interplanetary forum you could be from just about anywhere!by ralph - Grand Prix 3
Does your great equation cater for non lop-sided cars or just wonky ones? Are you going to share the maths with the group or is it strictly 7th son to 7th son on a moonless night with a quick virginal sacrifice and a kebab to round the evening off? I haven't got to grips with setups yet. I'm driving gp3-2000 pretty much from the box but with the ferrari 2001 physics file that came witby ralph - Grand Prix 3
So to recap - I, Ralph have been accepted by Morbid and Vader as the 3rd evil twin. Vader and I were seperated at birth and represent as it were the ying and yang, left and right hands. Morbid is the sum of the parts making him ambidetxerous (which he is. Proving beyond reasonable doubt that the claim is true!). Jointly we are the 3 four horsemen. Together, sporting our variously arranged beby ralph - Grand Prix 3
Or the four horsepower of the apocalypse if you've seen some of my laptimes recently! Don't worry about the shaving. It was laziness that grew the beard in the first place. Even my haircuts are lazy. Shaved head (oops), then nothing until I can't see, then shaved head again (about once every three months).by ralph - Grand Prix 3
I never for one moment assumed they would. I ask because beelzebub himself was a leftie and the word sinister is derived from the latin sinistra, meaning left (left-handedness is a minor obsession of mine). I was thinking with us both being bearded oldies of questionable sanity if you were left handed too we may be evil twins seperated at birth by authorities fearful that left together we wouldby ralph - Grand Prix 3
Vader - If you're the dark lord you must be left-handed? Personally I'm not religious (thank god!).by ralph - Grand Prix 3
I don't want to get too caught up in the debate but doesn't the game itself specifically state that throttle help is designed NOT to be like traction control? It seems to me that throttle help is a rev limiter whereas traction control is a rev regulator. All I can really say is that since taking throttle help of I'm certainly no slower but I feel much tougher! However, the reasoby ralph - Grand Prix 3
I'm not much of a James Allen fan either, he does have a bit of a Schu fetish. But in his defence he wasn't helped much by the camerawork at the w/end. I wouldn't mind seeing Martin Brundle take the helm and Have someone like Johnny Herbert co-driving. To counterbalance JA's Schumacher bias they could get Damon Hill to sit in with them (or even Michael's mum!). Personby ralph - Grand Prix 3
Lord of the Netherlands? I thought you were German! Anyhow, I'm with you on this one. Us bearded oldies must stick together!!by ralph - Grand Prix 3
I tend not to shave, I've had a beard since 1988! But you're right we are the ironmen of the indoor world.by ralph - Grand Prix 3
Bit of a balancing act isn't it? Still, we're both slightly tougher men than we were yesterday. Now when we take the wheel at a friend's house our opening line can be 'We can turn all this help nonsense off for a start you big girl's blouse!'by ralph - Grand Prix 3
